You are absolutely right.
I have participated in many. When i say "many" , i really mean it.
Except for Nano and DeepOnion , every other damn airdrop has turned into scam.
Those small airdrops or bounty airdrops are worse. Long airdrops are tricky.
You may have wasted all of your time in the end. I busted so much time for a coin called FOME and the DEV ran away scamming all donations.

Anyways i have to give it to both Nano and DeepOnion Devs. Been almost 1 year for both the products.

Sadly people who got free airdrops from both Nano and DeepOnion are scamming them back lol.
Those who got airdrops are using these coins to make up for their losses in other coins. They do not really know the value of both the coins.
Both the coins available now at 90%+ down from their ATH.
Nano already has a full product while DeepOnion will soon have full product with Deepsend release.
So huge bargain on their price now.

Well, i won't deny the fact that there are scam airdrops, yet i can confidently say that there are still legit or better still good airdrops. I have seen instances of such like ENU. Although, sometimes the developers are just out to make profit,but there are few with good products.

Disagree, good projects which pay a lot just happens to be delayed payments, I received a token after 3 months of many of the projects.

Yes, most of them don't send the money they promised. but there are also good airdrops, up to the present I have earned money from some airdrops. So, it depends on your luck.

That is almost the fact. Most of them just produce some tokens that will never be listed on any exchange. Some too, they will just list it, pump it and dump it and it will never rise again.For this reasons, i have decided to ignore almost every airdrop nor matter the token it is.

The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.

What's your experience with airdrops? Did you get scammed most of the times?

I have participated in many Airdrop programs, only some of them have been rewarded, many of which have so far failed to reward or even disappear.

That's why I really do not like the program Airdrop, and now I have left a program like this, I currently only focus on the ICO Project and some bounty programs.

yes I feel it, I used to follow the airdrop very often but all I got was a free token that was not priced in the market, all airdrop tokens could just be a display on the wallet.

I also join to people who say that this doesn't worth to try Airdrops. I have no bad experience but a lot of my friends had bad experience! So i wouldn't recommend it but only your choose.

I think the companies are just aware of the fact that for such low payments no one will fight and do not neglect us. Airdrop itself does quite a lot for the company, so in the future, when the last person refuses, the company will rush over the return of trust.

This has become a thing since erc20 tokens got popular.
I feel like it would be more suitable to say "99% of token airdrops are scams".
(of course there will be scams outside of the whole token airdrop scene as well, but I'd bet my money on it that the amount of scams with tokens is abundantly bigger)

Those tokens are too easy to create and were always almost instantly tradeable on etherdelta.
Mix in an airdrop to get a community going and start dumping, before you have ever put in any dev work at all.

All are not scams, no, I can talk because of my experience, I only haven't got 4 from 27 airdrops till now, but I don't do airdrops anymore and I did only promising ICOs, not every airdrop which was sent to my email.

In the subject there are not enough examples and where such statistics about 99%? If you participated in 1 ICO Airdrop and you were deceived, then this experience will not be enough. The second factor is better choose ICO.

I agree that a big part of airdrops are scam , but I think 99% is to pessimistic value . I know that some people didn't received their airdrops from a most part of their participations , but I think the reason of that is they didn't followed the rules and not qualified for airdrop . Thats it. I believe most part of "scam" airdrops are fair , participants simply not meet requirments .
