According to my analyzation bitcoin will again hit the all time high before the end of 2018. And after that, it will keep in raising the goal for 2022 it huge but as bitcoin in doing from last few years, I am sure in 2022 it can achieve this goal also.

I'm not referring to the price of Bitcoin (we all know it's going to be $250,000/coin by 2022), but the goal that it would be a legitimate alternative to inflationary government fiat currencies.  When the altcoin market is examined, it is inextricably linked to the price of Bitcoin.  Where Bitcoin goes, so does the rest of the cryptocurrencies.  There's even somewhat of a dismissive attitude toward other crytpos in some investment circles; strangely this was a similar sentiment held by those "respectable" investors when Bitcoin was in its infancy.

What do you think?  I'd love to hear from some crytpo veterans.

I don't think that bitcoin has reached its goal yet. It has made its mark though as the alternative to fiat exchange, but it is not there yet. The acceptance level is still within the speculators. The bitcoin ecosystem to me still has some aspects which are not yet explored. I also have similar feelings about the reliance on the movement of altcoins with relation to bitcoin.

Even experienced experts in the field of cryptocurrency ,no one knows exactly when bitcoin will rise up and how much it will cost max.I don't know what month, but this year. Bitcoin will break last year's record and may rise even higher than 30.000. Everything will depend on how soon the market will receive large capital.

I think the purpose of bitcoin has not been met because there are still many people who are not familiar with bitcoin, and bitcoin is still in the process of growing and I think bitcoin will continue to grow and become a global currency.

It is now being used as an alternative payment medium but the reach can be higher. Improvements relates to transaction speed is required by this.

Not at all! In fact, Bitcoin is in its early phase of development and we have a long way to go. Price is a secondary part but the core concept is all about using it as a payment system and we don't have even a single merchant accepting Bitcoin as a payment system in most parts of the world. Even if Bitcoin was invented almost 10 years ago, it needs many more years to see the impact in a fund transfer industry on a global level.

No one really knows the ultimate goal of Bitcoin except the creator. The believe of Bitcoin to replace the traditional fait currency is goal that I think might one day be achieved. Not minding whatever criticism and hatred it faces from the haters, Bitcoin is achieving new goals daily.

I think that we are still far from reaching the purpose of Bitcoin's existence. However, many people started to become concerned about security of their money and they stopped trusting banks. Governments are trying to convince people to use cashless transactions more, but it won't be that easy, especially for old people. For the next generation it might be natural to use cryptocurrencies, let's hope for that. Fees for sending wire transfers to another country and converting rates are ridiculous. It's high time we ditched banks.

The original idea of satoshi nakamoto, creator of bitcoin was to enhance peer to peer transfer in effective manner. Bitcoin is serving that purpose and even as investment asset. Hence it has fulfilled it purpose.

Bitcoin has not reached its goal because bitcoin cannot be the crypto currency that is valid all over the country, bitcoin will continue to fight until all countries receive crypto currency.

I am also a fan of Bitcoin and blockchain. however, with the situation now, I do not think that BTC can hit that target in 2022. My prediction is just over $15000 in that year. Unless, all the countries in the world accept BTC

Bitcoin has not yet achieved any of his goals. For the time being, it can not even be properly used as a means of payment, what is a worthy alternative to the national money of various states, then can it be?
In addition, while it is known and uses a small amount of the population of the earth. Therefore, it is too early to say that bitcoin has achieved any of its goals. These questions are not solved so quickly.

I would say it is heading in the right direction, one problem is that the number of holders isn't diverse enough. Only a small percentage holds the majority of bitcoins which makes it difficult to use as a global currency. As the market rises and falls it will hopefully get swallowed up by different people and attract more people into bitcoin trading

What is its actual goal we are not sure about that. As BTC is not a currency like USD or Pound any price it becomes won't be satysftying one. Every month or every year target will change so if we calculate yearly goal we can yes it is! But if explain about the full process no the goal is still a long way to go.
