Has Bitcoin reached its goal?

I'm not referring to the price of Bitcoin (we all know it's going to be $250,000/coin by 2022), but the goal that it would be a legitimate alternative to inflationary government fiat currencies.  When the altcoin market is examined, it is inextricably linked to the price of Bitcoin.  Where Bitcoin goes, so does the rest of the cryptocurrencies.  There's even somewhat of a dismissive attitude toward other crytpos in some investment circles; strangely this was a similar sentiment held by those "respectable" investors when Bitcoin was in its infancy.

What do you think?  I'd love to hear from some crytpo veterans.

For me, bitcoin did not reach it goal yet because there is still people who did not use bitcoin because thyy do not believe in it and they always think that bitcoin is scam and it easily hacked because they do not have any idea what bitcoin really is.

It has achieved most of its goal till date but they are still some things that still needs to be achieved like making more companies to accept it as payment gateway and also make government approved it.

I think the very goal of this coin, is to spread and reach everyone for them to change fiat to crypto and it is not yet being reach. It will still be a long way for many people still are ignorant on it.

Many people still have no idea about what it is and I think its goal is to be used by all people in the world.

When we are talking about the price or value of the bitcoin it must be a big NO! Because although the value of bitcoin for now was very low it continuesly going high and because of this later on bitcoin will achieve its true value. For me one of the most important goal of bitcoin was to change our future, life and also the world.

The goal of bitcoin is to liberate people from the instances where they have to pay extremely large amount of money just to make sure that their transactions go through. Some of these transactions even take days before they get to the recipient. In banking, there is a problem of double spending, where the same amount of money may be sent to 2 different individual at the same time. Bitcoin makes sure that this problem that not happen by making sure that it is possible only to send the transaction to just the first individual when the balance is not enough to send another amount to the second individual. These are some of the goals of bitcoin.

im not a veteran by any means but i think the market will mature over time and coins will begin to be valued more independently in the same way as stocks, it has to happen sooner or later or the market is always going to be irrational

I think that it happened, but i am more than sure in that all that people that is always trying to make the price go down are the ones that are always using bitcoin for money profit purposes, and that was not the main goal of why bitcoin was created for

yes it may be true, it is bitcoin than used for as digital currency we know can be traded so of course many people use it to be a way to profit

I think bitcoin will reach the goal later this year. After a long period of severe plunge tuberculosis now Bitcoin is playing strongly again. Many investors are buying many bitcoin and hosting them. The price of bitcoin is increasing gradually. This is the sign that the bitcoin market is recovering.

Bitcoin already reaches its goal by making a peer to peer network usinh blockchain technology. But I believe that it will not stop eventhough it is already complete. It will not stop to make some innovations and resolve all problems regarding with transaction, charges and security. Unless, if Satoshi Nakamoto will die or he don't want to change anything from bitcoin but I am sure that lightning networks come from his idea.

What based on is your prediction about bitcoin is going to be $250k ? 
The price is not the goal of bitcoin, i think the goal of bitcoin is to become a currency that used by everyone.
This is a long term goal, first bitcoin will need to improving its transaction speed and fee.

Even experienced experts in the field of cryptocurrency ,no one knows exactly when bitcoin will rise up and how much it will cost max.I don't know what month, but this year. Bitcoin will break last year's record and may rise even higher than 30000. Everything will depend on how soon the market will receive large capital.
