the alias name need a domainname?

Alias links a string of chars with any URI (bitcoin:1BCN1ugdKdWd9pQ8Am9hMhtHZfmbXzxE8a, for example).
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Ok, this Alias registration works, I did register some Unicode URIs.

Is there a way to make blocks generate faster? I tried sending coins to different addresses, it helps sometimes.

Anything else specific to test?

can anyone explain to me how it is determined who has the right to author the next block. i understand that the more nxt you have the higher your chance, but specifically how is the "winner" selected?

also would anyone be so kind as to send some nxt to this address 17286747867026237511 so i can check to make sure i set everything up correctly

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

I'm quite confused right now, you're still testing Alias system on the testnet aren't you?

No, that's it.

Blocks can't be generated much faster.

Nxt ecosystem is awesome!

In such a case, I bought(through tx fee) a alias name, some time later, I don't like it, but some other find it useful, so I think Nxt should provide for exchange for alias name.

Look forward to auction fuction.

The same as in Bitcoin. In Nxt ur coins on the balance is a mining rig.

Raspberry PI Forging.

I'm syncing the blockchain on Raspberry PI. It's so slow.

Anyone who runs Nxt on PI?

@nxtbase, it seems nxtbase has some problem to run on PI, but I'm not sure whether it is caused by ruby or something.  BTW, it seems bin/unlock doesn't support bracket as passphrase.

One small bug......You cannot register a domain already registered by someone else.  However, you are giving a new transaction when you register your domain over and over.

http://localhost:6874/nxt?requestType=assignAlias&secretPhrase=...I'm not telling....&alias=mtgox&uri=http://stupid.com&fee=1&deadline=1440

{"transaction":"10300909895005200425"}
{"transaction":"16194261226826221197"}
{"transaction":"1029762322908370050"}
{"transaction":"12529209117937303899"}

Each time I re-register, my account is deducted and I get a new transaction number.

This is a feature, not a bug. U can change an alias as many times as u wish.

Btw, Alias System will be used for well-known peers and hallmarks. If u have a dynamic IP, u will be able to assign an alias and change it automatically.

Maybe if new alias and uri are exactly the same as old ones, the system could print an error 'you've already registered exactly that alias'.

This is a decentralized system with high latency. Time of events and their sequence can't be defined reliably.

- if you have the Java correctly installed, you even do not need to make the .bat file. You can simply navigate to your nxt folder, locate start.jar, and doubleclick it. Nothig visible will happen, its normal. Wait 10 sec, and then open https://127.0.0.1:7875 .
