chess tourney for Nxt is about to start.
join
http://www.freechess.org/Events/NXT/

missed it, will join next one!
Too bad it's always at time we have dinner here. My wife wouldn't be happy if I play...  Sad

Chess is out. Chess 2 is in.

(ducks and covers)

But seriously, I think the folks over at sirlin.net and fantasystrike.com will like Nxt. A lot of competitive gamers and generally smart people there. And David Sirlin (the game designer and guy who runs the sites) might be interested in payment options (i.e. Nxt) for the games at fantasystrike.com.

Marketing, what do you guys think?

In order to create a new internet the central infrastructure should probably be a peer to peer social network, e-mail, search engine, cloud storage, file sharing and cryptocurrency

Is it possible to transform us to the app with peer to peer social network, e-mail, search engine, cloud storage and file sharing?

I could use more opinions on the off brand vs shot vs both question.

+1. This is nice. I wonder who will do the first IPO in Nxt AE. Next Mobile? It seems a voting system becomes urgent after the launch of AE since it is the best way for shareholders to make crucial decisions after the companies are formed in Nxt.

Zahlen: the most important question is: in how many magazines could be presented an article about such tournament

This way won't be newsworthy, a Chess 2 tournament wouldn't get talked about in wide-audience mags or blogs, it wouldn't interest mainstream or the crypto crowd. But it would interest competitive gamers, fighting gamers, board gamers, people who have been in the sirlin.net community for a long time. Chess 2 (and Sirlin's other games for that matter) isn't just a fad, it's been deeply balance-tested for a few years (like all of his games), and there's a dedicated following. Basically it's a specific demographic that may be more interested in Nxt than regular folks.

atleast that voting question will be cut and dry Cheesy. 1 share 1 vote.

Nxt on Cryptsy!

Well, not yet... but it's coming! https://soundcloud.com/mindtomatter/e81-the-bitcoin-opportunity from 13:30m onwards

Nxt is:-

"not a cookie cutter, implementation is going to take more time",
"popular",
"it's fair",
"has a purpose" & most importantly
"I feel comfortable with that coin"

Hi guys!

I'm new one in crypto, but I'd like to understand in ''few words'' what difference between  NXT and Noble coins and NYAN coins... Huh

Thanks.

NXT is 100% proof of stake and uses something called transparent forging instead of mining. Transparent forging allows you to predict which forgers will author upcoming blocks and if you trust those forgers than your transactions can be thought of as instantly secure. If you dont trust them than its still faster than bitcoin with 1 minute confirmations. Unlike fast coin or min coin though these 1 minute blocks actually add security similar in strength similar to bitcoins 10 minute confirmations. The fact that we dont rely on mining means that huge amounts of resources are saved in securing the blockchain. This means that transactions can still be secure at a fraction of the fee of mined coins. We also take a data driven approach to transactions rather than using scrypts which will allow visa level transaction volume when the need arises. Our devs are implementing decentralized asset exchange later this month! Stick around and keep reading and learning. There is a lot to learn about nxt and a lot that is worth learning. This is not your average copycat coin and you are very early to this party indeed.

*edit* tell me your address and ill get you started

Which clients are also forging when used? is NRS the only one, and when its gone how will forging go?

No API call for opening an account for forging. CfB previsouly said, let's wait till April.

This sounds like accounts will not need to be open in the future to forge?  Is this an accurate assumption?

Thank You very much indeed!

K i sent you 200nxt. now all i ask in return is that you stick around and be a part of our awesome community Grin

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?
