Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Can anyone comment on this article?
Is it possible to implement the Ethereum idea in Nxt?
Is there will to do so?

I open http://holms.cloudapp.net:6874/ and input my passphrase. I got an account.
And then I use https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg5054385#msg5054385  ClieNXT client.
I click UNLOCK and input the same passphrase as I did before.
I got another account! It's different from the previous one .  And I can send textnxt from the previous one to ClieNXT.

Where did I wrong thing ?

 Huh Huh

I use one passphrase to open an account :9569813167457446383
Then I open ClieNXT with the same passphrase, but get another account: 17305448910002659897.
I send 100k from 9569813167457446383 to 17305448910002659897. And ClienNXT shows I receive 100k under the account 17305448910002659897.

5mins later, the account on ClieNXT changed to 9569813167457446383 automatically. And I lost the account 17305448910002659897...
It's a magic.

I do not understand what the letter
this is the direction I've created
14873924433224636222

I transferred 20 1oz silver coins to you and a couple of others. I've got about a 30 second lag so I'll have another look in the morning, bedtime here. Transaction ID 11816355120762060235

Under transactions, they are all there but my AMOUNTS are all 0. I have 200000, then 0 for asset creation then all 0's for my transfers. Also my QUANTITY isn't changing from my original 500 coins. Maybe I'm missing something, i'll have another look in the morning. Great potential. Thanks CFB for organising.

Just going from memory, jl777/James' flowchart idea would be similar, but automated (drag and drop gui on top of a script?)

Maybe you are using chinese characters for passphrase which is probably not compatible with the client. Just a guess.

Could this be the problem with special characters?

Maybe due to sync or the time lag?

Is it possible to implement the Ethereum idea in Nxt?
Is there will to do so?

Yes - although in Nxt it would be handled as a feature that is "above" the basic low-level transactions (which are kept much simpler to keep storage to a minimum and to have "normal" transactions work as fast as is possible).

CfB has already proposed a similar low-level language and James also posted quite a bit on this a few days back.

Whilst it is very interesting from a software engineering angle to have such a powerful scripting concept it still remains to be seen how useful it turns out to be "in practice" (one reason I think it might actually be better to let Ethereum do the R&D for us).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

We r testing Asset Exchange

Go to https://holms.cloudapp.net:6875/ and create an account. Don't use an account that exists on the main network! After u get the account id u can play such a game:

- Post here ur account.
- I'll check the 1st letter of ur nickname. If the letter wasn't used before then I'll send u 200'000 Test NXT, now u r supposed to send 10'000 to each guy who asks for test NXT and has the name starting with the same letter as urs.
- Download an Asset Exchange client and use it to help us with the testing.

@ AE client devs:
Post links to ur client soft, plz.

Can i get some testNXT?

I issued 1440 of asset XCP. I placed an order for 1, and it sold. XCP still shows 1440 in the asset list, but when I go to transfer asset, it only shows 1439 available.

The 1440 shown in the main list is probably total number of assets in circulation and not a reflection of how many I hold. Not sure where the client lists which assets I actually control.
