If i mined NXT with a 4000 khash gpu rig, how many NXT would i get across 24hours? Thx in advance. I just want to get like 1000 coins somehow. I have LTC and other minor altcoins. Just easier to mine it if possible, albeit slowly, just how slow?

thats not how nxt works. its a 100% proof of stake system. the only way to "mine" is to own coins. the more coins you own the more you mine. like each coin you own is a hash/second.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

Just to confirm. I read that if I don't want to assign an alias right now I can leave it blank. In this case correct address would be:
http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=assignAlias&secretPhrase=123&alias=Google&uri=&fee=1&deadline=60

Is that right?

Scrypt rigs are useless for Nxt mining. You can mine and sell scrypt algo cryptos for BTC and buy Nxt for BTC on dgex.com

Esample, Mark and Steven try to have the MAGIC alias

Mark puts 10 NXT as fee and 10 minutes deadline
Steven puts 100 NXT as fee and 40 minutes deadline

What will happens?

It's up to those who generates next block. If everyone uses NRS then Steven will win, coz he offers higher fee.

http://www.nxtcurrency.com/   ----- a self hosted wiki site like wikipeadia, feel free to register and add all content for nxt

Thanks for this -- but you should know we already have a strong wiki at http://nxtcrypto.wikia.com/.  And if you copy all my content without crediting anyone or paying Nxt for it, I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN.

Wink

Careful I got booby traps  Grin

Seriously, I just created that content as a place holder as I am busy working on other things. It is for the community, feel free to sign-up credit the content to yourself and add more content. This applies to  everyone else too...take control of the site and make it full fledged..Maybe I should award 50 nxt per full detail page posted, let me know if you are interested. I think it is way better to have a stand alone domain with better search discovery, just my 2 satoshi's

by the way what is a sub unit of NXT called Huh??  when will it be introduced, and how many subunits will there be? I think 3-4 decimal places is sufficient.

come from beyond, what is the optimal time to enter for AS? 5 seems too short and risks losing it

What is the down side to deadline 1440?

Any thoughts on hijacking the AS process before the 720 block confirmation occurs?

If you registered Google for 1 Nxt and it wasn't "forged" but was generally accepted, would there be a chance to throw 10k at Google before the 12 hours pass and getting it priority because it was passed through a forging block?

If Google (1 NXT) is not confirmed then Google (10k NXT) has 99% chance to be confirmed in the 1st place.

Also, thoughts on the whole 'gold rush' nature of this Alias release? I assume the Alias function and its monetary value were planned into Nxt from the early stages, and since we are aware of the potential value for cybersquatting or proper SEO marketing using these aliases, were they designed as a profit taking measure? designed for release at block 22000?
nothing.

In Nxt, like in early days of America, no central authority. Squatting seems to be the most fair way in our situation.

can u send a request and then another one while waiting for the first outcome?
or doesn't it play a role , just send 5 requests when 22000 block hits and wait for what will happen

Yes, u can send many requests. If u send 5 transactions to register the same alias they will enter 5 blocks.

Hey I'm all for this theory, just was wondering how much of it was planned as a payout to existing users?

Do we have to use https://localhost:7875/alias.html?  Can we use the "assignAlias" API instead?

Yes, we can.

what is this api and where can i find specification?

also are spaces allowed in aliases?

https://localhost:7875/nxt?requestType=assignAlias&secretPhrase=123&alias=Google&uri=http://google.com&fee=1&deadline=5

Allowed only digits and latin letters (case-insensitive)

I really like the concept of this coin! I am jumping in to this coin forging, have some questions to help me understand, hopefully not too many Smiley

1. Is there some sort of traffic number gaging the transaction amount per day that NXT does on average?
2. How much NXT can I expect to forge if I hold say 1000 nxt in a given day?
3. Say I have 1000 NXT, Is there benefit to multiple computers (say 10) that hold 1/10 of the 1000 NXT as opposed to one computer holding all 1000 NXT?
4. What is the transaction fee for trading 1 NXT as opposed to 10000 NXT?
5. Can I just hold onto NXT for eternity and still make residual NXT over time?
6. Does the amount forged for any given holder vary with the price of NXT?

Thanks I think thats it!
