How long does it take for me to know the alias has been taken after I sent the request ?

Watch ur transactions and count confirmations. If u see 1 confirm then u (probably) the winner. [My transactions] will show AS transactions as transactions with 0 amount. If u need to distinguish them u should use different fees (1001, 1002, 1003 NXT as an example for 3 aliases).

in the last 4-5 pages i have asked the same questions 3 times and i have been ignored by code from beyond.

also sorry but when you announce a complicated feature with a start in the next day or so, you need to have at least some technical answers ready and a guide.

releasing it and waiting for people to ask questions that you may answer and may not, is not only amateur but shady.

the only thing that was released is the alias.html and that we can use it to register aliases. all other info comes from random questions from members here. this is not fair for example many ppl would be searching the nxtforum itself for guides.

You need to use a secret phrase of an account that you want to bind an alias to.
An account must be created before that and some money put into it beforehand.
Then you open that /alias.html and fill in the parameters with the secret phrase of the account that you created and funded beforehand.
No need to log in or log out, I think.

Just a thought. Currently, a Namecoin costs 4$ and you can register one .bit domain for one namecoin. In NXT system, you can create one alias for 1 Nxt which could be a domain, and much more, way superior than the way namecoin works. Namecoin is going to be dead-in-the-water.

What should be the price of 1 NXT then ? Crazy .

It doesn't create another account, u must use the passphrase of already funded one.

also if checking while the deadline is not reached if i see i didn't get the alias can i bid again with higher price?

nxt is until now a just currency although with closed source code which some people dont like.

If you follow NXT development closely, you will see that all the information has been given out at one point or another. Code from Beyond has been extremely accommodating and answering every single question directed to him. Sometimes twice or third times.
Nxt development has been at lighting speed so far. Things are changing day by day and that is the reason no one has the time to compile an unified and official source of information such as NXTwiki or guide. Nothing shady here. It is just you are at frontier and it is normal there is no available guide.
Feel free to voice detail and technical questions, Code from beyond will happily answer you.

Hm... This question was answered upthread, wasn't that u who asked that time? Anyway, BCNext decided to keep this amount in secret till the 3rd of Jan, coz some "smart" guys tried to claim these coins by pretending to be legit owners.
