can someone send me 1 NXT? i have no idea if i set this up right, i think this is my address: 8283157443814169592

You got it

Is I'm right, that forging today is useless, because most of the blocks are with 0 fee. If I'll wait until 22000 when there will be big panic, I'll have higher chances and could expect bigger luck?

BTW why do you want to get rid of web-based client? Running it on console only VPS is really nice.

Just to be sure, can you answer to this question?

1) How much is the Limit number of aliases for account?
2) Are aliases case-sensitive?
3) When you will own an alias, can you later modify URI?
4) I still haven't understand the utility of the transaction deadline. It will be usefull for the probability of alias assigment?

Thanks Smiley

1. 264
2. They r case-insensitive
3. Yes
4. Deadline used to expire non-actual transactions. This depends on topology of Nxt network, if a transaction expires before it reaches forging node then u better use 10+ min deadline.

hey guys, can you send me 1 NXT, looks like forging does not work with empty account. here is mine: 7155367271379907682

Chance of forging with 1 NXT is TOO low. Go to http://dgex.com/ and buy them

so it's useless setting up a low time (1 min) ?
What happens if i put 300 as deadline?

On a second note, do I understand it right I can enquirer my Alias already now, just I would have to set the time to about 700 min so it will get kicked of at block 22k ?

No. U have to push a transaction right after block 22000 (or 2 seconds before that).

come frombeyond, shouldn't everyone just put 1440 as timeout if they want to be sure?

The luck will be the same.

It adds a lot of overhead to Nxt core. Due to monolithic design of the core the interface can't be disabled easily.

I don't think so.

Not so popular alias name, 1 Nxt should be OK, right?  The questions is, if I register a general name with 1 Nxt, no one register it at the same time, will it be accepted by the network?

It's not useless, it will save u a lot of money. 1M fee could be an overkill and u don't know what fee is optimal, so u assign alias for 100 NXT with 1 min deadline and if it's not confirmed within 60 seconds u send another transaction with 1000 NXT.

Then they have to set very high fee for that. It's deadline/fee trade-off.

Hmmmm something it's not clear for me...
If the 1 min transaction is not confirmed during the 1m, i'll have back my nxt? (i think yes)
The 300 min transaction could be confirmed during the entire 300mins right?
So why would i choose a low time deadline?

Yes, but u have to wait until all high-fee transactions confirmed, so u should use deadline set to something like 32767.

The Nxt logo on http://coinmarketcap.com has changed.  Sad

The old log, which is still used on http://www.dgex.com is _much_ better.

Yes, u'll get ur coins back.
Right.
Low time deadline lets u to issue another transaction very soon if the 1st is not confirmed.

Low deadline lets you issue another transaction for the same alias you mean?

No. I'm saying that if I get lucky and get block before 22k, next block for me would be hundreds of days (because of reset of non-forging trigger). As I understood, if there is no server running where my acc is unlocked, I would not participating if forging. That's why when I unlock just before 22k, time of non-forging would be increased (and the forge chance too).

P.S. What about 'log out from other sessions' button?

I don't think so.

Forging have nothing with alias registering.

Really no need to be on an arm-race for aliases. There should be a plenty for everyone. I  very unfortunately have to travel at 22000 block. Would ask the wife to act as aproxy but not sure she is tech-savy enough to handle unexpected issues.

Come-from Beyond, could you maybe add a simple security measure to the Nxt account "login"?
Would it be possible to add a cool down time, so that when you open a account you have to wait, lets say 5 sec befor you can open the next account?
That would help allot against brute forcing accounts....
I think that is something wary important !

It's impossible in decentralized system.

Hmm ok Sad
I do see that as a serious security risk to Nxt....for now its fine as is, but once Nxt gets big what will stop huge botnets or computer farms to brute force the accounts?
Maybe its nor a problem with passwords longer then 30 characters, I don't know, I have no Idea how fast those botnets could check accounts. Maybe I am just a paranoid noob Cheesy

On a second note, do I understand it right I can enquirer my Alias already now, just I would have to set the time to about 700 min so it will get kicked of at block 22k ?
Thanks for your help, you are doing a great job with all this Smiley

With truly random generated 30+ char password even with largest botnet they still wouldn't get your password before Earth dissolves and Universe has arthritis.
