A new video, a new article, a new guerilla whatever is not enough.

Go to big news sites, go to big bitcoin shows, go to big names to talk about NXT.

Does no-one realize that we had enough of videos and articles?

We are already sending people to the biggest Bitcoin conferences and might even get a stand and speaker position at these events, but hey we got zero NXT to do it with, so we pay from our own wallet. Isn't that nice and fair?
The guys who do all the work has to pay for it too Smiley

If you really got nothing so far, somebody like CfB should look into it. I'm thankful for your energy and time!

It's not really about me. It's mor about the team I am managing too, aswell as salsacz. CfB is very aware of this, but I don't think he wants to hand out NXT to anyone as he wants the community to decide, something I approve 100% of, but the way he goes about it is just so haphazardly. At first we were going to have a organized committee, then a couple of forum posts said something and he decided "ok let's just send salsacz 250K and see what happens". It was decided on a whim and suddenly the entire marketing project was decided there and then.
It's just careless and wrong in my opinion.

I have endorsed Salsacz work to CfB before, so he knows that I support salsacz completley, but we are more people and it should be a lot more organized. That's all.
I'm not asking for handouts. I was given 10K by neer.g
neer.g is the only stakeholder that has actually given out any NXT to any of our projects.

There is a Bitcoin Meetup in London coming up next week on January 21:

http://www.meetup.com/London-bitcoin-meetup/events/159181392/

We need to get a few Nxters there to promote and educate people on Nxt.

So come on, that guy from the Moore's Traditional Museum, his friend from Tower Gardens or even our buddy from the Hoebridge Golf Centre, aren't you interested? Cheesy

If anyone needed Indonesian translator for some marketing articles or anything
I'm more than willing to work my fingers off!

Indonesia is like biggest untapped resources in the world of cryptocurrency.
Most people here barely know about bitcoin. So chance for Nxt would be huge if we can penetrate market.
Been working on several wiki pages and will continue to do so.

Just contact me if anyone interested!  Smiley

I updated my javascript project for the bounty:

https://github.com/BloodyRookie/nxtCrypto

I think a test should at least include chrome and firefox because those 2 are probably the most comon browsers.

Thanks for doing this work! We need JS crypto badly. Hope you'll get the bounty Wink

About JS and 64 bit math. Has anyone researched GWT? I think it supports/emulates it.

Well then you are obviously allowed and in the right to do whatever you want with them. But then what happens with the "left over NXT" ?
And why did we suddenly abandon the committee plan that nearly everyone was a proponent of?

you should come over more often or read what we have debated here few days ago. There was decided to actually install a marketing committee, days ago.

Also there was the reward programm for all categorys and all people are rewarded, didnt you apply?

WHAT ABOUT THE WHITEPAPER?

very good question!!!
The Paper must be a pearl, and it gets less notice than it needs!

Currently I'm about to collect all technical info's and facts from CfB early posts.
I will list all technical facts with an short description to clarify the points.
If its bullet proof or just true, it can be integrated to the Paper topic.
A lot of post's with a lot of info's ;-)

Maybe we should we discuss release strategy?
At least we should discuss if would be an good idea to release sequels of papers.
The current content could be split easily to release 3-5 detailed paper.
We could release separate more focused paper and release an collection later which is more summarizing.

So we don't need to wait till the specification of "secrets" like eg. TF is available.
When a new feature becomes released we can release the corresponding paper.

Assuming 0.5.9 is as stable as I hope it is and there are no critical bugs, my next step will be a major refactoring of the code, 0.6.0 will no longer be a single java file. Next, I will add persistence of blocks and transactions in a database instead of using serialized files, and will no longer keep all of them in memory.

Based on my understanding of the code, the current implementation could be split into the following packages to form the NXT framework and platform.

0. Remove all HTTP client support code.
1. Blockchain verification, management and persistence. (org.nxt.nrs.blockchain)
2. Crypto (org.nxt.nrs.crypto)
3. Network (org.nxt.nrs.network)
4. Transparent Forging (org.nxt.nrs.forging)
5. Servlet with High level API (org.nxt.nrs.server)

I'd love to mix and match 1-4 into new JVM projects. This would be very powerful.

If minusbalancer used decompiled sources to base his .NET implementation on, he will have to catch up with my changes and bugfixes

That's why we need a single, unified core, so all the clients can be built around it and rely on this code- and security-reviewed, open-source library.

For now it's Java, but ideally it should be a C++ cross-platform version, which can be linked both statically and dynamically, and can also be easily wrapped into an executable server, which listens for API calls.

Java/JVM is completely fine. There's nothing but headache to be gained from C++.

what exactly means SMS to NXT ?

you send SMS to nxt ?   - nicht verstein, were to an exchange ?

or you send  NXT with SMS ?  -  very good idea... so that poor countries (like in Africa) can buy nxt , and use it THAT WOULD BE GREAT

1. User sends a premium SMS with his Nxt account
2. Gateway sends NXT to that account

They r waiting to be sent to the genesis block in April if the community doesn't come to any consensus earlier.

Very nice. There are a few grammar corrections that need to be made that won't be obvious to non-native English speakers. I'd be happy to do it if you send me a copy of the script.
no. It had already been doublechecked:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345773.msg4213502#msg4213502
(But this text is not designed for non-native english speakers, too hard to understand sometimes Cheesy)
Thanks to work on NxtMyths I am little smarter now, so there can still be something added... for the new voiceover with music/sounds

1 account, 10 million.

9 anonymous people are chosen.

3 get the first part of the password.
3 get the second part of the password.
3 get the last part of the password.

So to send money, we just need to contact 1 of every group.  This needs to be a diverse group so that no one can figure out other people that might be in the group of chosen ones.

Make a script that allows input of the password parts and then executes it.

Or better yet, use some sort of screen sharing where each person then enters their password phrase. Everyone can view at the same time.

I like wesleys's idea much more than the idea of having 10 separate account controlled completely by 10 people. To summarize,  I going to put forward this proposal:

1. BCNext create a completely secure account holding 10 million fund

2. BCNext choose 9 trusted password holders who pledge 1. to never reveal the password or his names; 2. to follow the rules of funding; 3 to act expediently when the his password is required

3.
Following wesleyh's proposal

3 get the first part of the password.
3 get the second part of the password.
3 get the last part of the password.

4. The funding for a new project would follow my concept  of "open bounty" outlined here

Anyone can step up and present his/ her idea, propose a bounty and let the community decides. So we continue the tradition of asking for bounties in a decentralized fashion as we have been already doing in nextcoin and nxtcrypto forums so far. But now funding would be a bit easier to come by since we have common pool in addition to private donors's fund.

This will work easier when we have the voting system in place. A person presents his/ her idea, propose a bounty and action plan, and set up a vote. Community can ask questions in the meantime and when the voting is over, the project will be funded if the vote passes the majority. A democratic and decentralized method of funding projects.

We can even implement this type of "open bounty" even when the voting system is not yet in place. In fact, we actually did it one time already with the case of Maco's android app as the overwhelming majority refused to fund his 500K NXT request for his app. So we actually had a precedent in place already. Let's continue the funding process in this type of decentralized fashion instead of giving one person/ or group the authority of giving out the funds.

5. When a project get funding, a time will be set so that the pass holders can coordinate and send the necessary fund to the project with funding. Make a script that allows input of the password parts and then executes it.

6. A guideline could be as follow (credit nxtberry)

I would also like to see an efficient donation/reward/funding program approx like this:
* 10 NXT donation to new nxters for basic testing
* 100 NXT reward for minor NXT promotion
* 1000 NXT graphics, branding, major promotion etc.
* 10000 NXT minor development, larger graphics work, applets, wide media promotion etc.
* 100000 NXT larger development / significant projects funding, milestone events

That's the proposal to deal with all the funding issue and all the unclaimed coins. Please support this proposal and end this debate in consensus. Please suggest modification as needed.
