I resent you calling it a scamchain because it cetainly is not

Luke-JR told me he would think about it before he did anything and get back to me

It would be bothersome if he lied, and I like to think that he did not

besides it is highly unlikely the attack would happen before block 25000

because merged mining will not work until that time and you would have to move mining power from the Bitcoin network to the Devcoin network
we have added a great deal of new miners to the network today, the difficulty is high but not astronomically high, my pool is at 7 ghash right now

lol

it is what it is, I understand why everyone is so pissed - I don't blame you but my interest lies in keeping Devcoin alive and I have to try to take the diplomatic route first.

If that does not work we have a plan B.

the reason the Devcoin network is 100ghash is not because of Luke-JR - is because of Plan B.

Hey so how does this work is block 25000 the first block that is capable of being merge mined or is it the last one that is not capable?

Doublec wrote the patch, all I did was change 45000 to 25000. Does it matter a whole lot though?

Difficulty has gone down since few blocks ago, we lost a bunch of miners or something? Blocks are taking a while...

I searched for 25000 in code cannot find it.

In the -qt I find it, with the word prodnet on same line.

Cannot find prodnet in code either except in -qt.

So I dont know what is up with my source code.

Ahh never mind, I was searching dev*, its actually in old-dev* directory.

Its >= GetAuxPowStartBlock so should start *at* 25000.

Are you going to also merge I0Coin and IXCoin?

I am mining at bitparking still, as he has also added DVC, but there is no sign yet that he has actually turned it on.

Thanks for implementing merged mining. I sent the three mining implementation bounties, 40 BTC each, to the most recent bitcoin addresses I have for Cablepair, Doublec and Mark. For that send, I'll put myself on the bounty 7 list:
https://github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity/blob/master/bounty_7.csv

for twelve generations shares.

Since the network power was over 10 Ghash to start, you'll all also get the extra hash power bounties of 4 generation shares each in round 7.

Edit:

Note, the round 7 receiver file will be generated from the bounty file soon, so please check that your devcoin address is correct in the bounty file. There hasn't been a mistake yet, but so many bounties were sent this round that a mistake could of been made.

To improve merged mining usability, there is a four generation share bounty for PHP code written for the modified "mining farm" front end with a poolserverJ backend that will give merged mining stats and add payouts for the merged mining coins that were added. If more than one person works on the project, the bounty will be shared equally among the developers.

If you would work on this project, please post in this thread or contact "cablepair", if you haven't already done so, to know more about the project and to see if someone else is working on it.

What address was this sent to for me? I haven't received this or the recent devcoin bounty you sent in the address I thought I was using.

edit: disregard, I received them now.

What address was this sent to for me? I haven't received this or the recent devcoin bounty you sent in the address I thought I was using.

I used the addresses you sent in your message to me:

Bitcoin: 1NbDKVW9zRBoLGkmwVo5DUVYxaHp59RFem
Devcoin: 19nidESPyQbHzZ1ekpyn1taGvEHGerTczK

The devcoin send was at:
http://107.20.193.62:2750/block/0000000000102fc2670475c802fd91ff3f13a22f7a3508b1966dd2504ec68ab8

I don't remember the block count of the bitcoin send, but it was at the same time as the send to Mark and Cablepair, I could look for it if that would help.

Any thoughts on how to deal with fees for devcoin withdrawals in pools? Looks like I'll have to set a much larger minimum withdrawal for devcoin since I can't judge how much the fees are. I'm getting people withdrawing 2 devcoin and I'm paying a 6 devcoin fee for it.
