Really glad @artos was here to ensure everything went well...  Roll Eyes

I assume he knew what he was doing, let's just assume he's confident Smiley

Yep.  Ever present, attentive, enthusiastic . . . very communicative, cheering us on, keeping us informed . . . yeah, very impressive.

It's one of the reasons why I'm mining at Hashcows now instead of mining SBCs.

It won't surprise me if he doesn't come back... I bet he never had any real plans for the coin and it was all a big fat lie to pump & dump.

We don't know that either. Only time will tell if he comes back. He said he was going on vacation so he will probably post an update on his vacation this week.

Guys, to add some facts, FWIW he was on the SBC forum yesterday. I got a reply to my PM I sent on there about the LocalStableCoins project. I wasn't going to post here but thought I ought to so it is known he is still around and doing some communication with the community. That's what I can say based on what I've seen personally.

There you go.. Seriously, give the guy a break, he might just be trying to enjoy his vacation.

He might be checking the thread while being offline too, I do that from time to time. The fact is: Everything worked fine today, there is nothing to discuss and Artos doesn't seem like he's the type of guy that is going to post for the fun of it, his posts are always serious and to the point.

Now everyone calm down and come get the easy coins.

Can someone tell me how many stablecoins are produced each day through mining?

Normally I would think 40 second block time at 25 coins per block would be = 900 coins per day. But that is too low and obviously wrong  Huh,

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

New target is a 60-second block time. So, 1440 * 25... or ~36,000 SBC. Obviously, this is just a target and doesn't include the transaction fees that may be added to a particular block.

Wow, that is a high growth rate. Never calculated based on block time in seconds. That is what I overlooked, I did it in minutes instead of seconds.

I will have higher hopes if we get some clear communication and a legitimate piece of proof there is a mixing service in the works.

I'd like to point out that there really is no need for Artos to report to you now.  Artos has stated that the Mixing feature will come out before the tracking things that it is meant to prevent are in effect.  Would it be nice for him to give some information about it, sure, but does he need to, no.

If he reads every comment in this thread, which I hope he doesn't since it is more productive for him to be working on getting things working, the people that continuously try to make things a personal attack are only going to make it more difficult for him to stay motivated to get the Mixing feature completed.

With the 1.5 patch Artos has shown that he can look at a problem, come up with a solution, and implement it.  He could have left things at where they were in 1.3 and Stablecoin would have been on par with all of the other coins out there.  He chose to try to implement a fix with 1.4, and while it didn't work entirely as planned, he was able to correct for it, and there is now a difficulty adjusting system that allows for fast and stable block times which means transactions are now fast and stable, even if a Mining Pool jumps on and then leaves.  How many other coins can say that?

Artos will post when he has something to say.  If there isn't any new news to post, there is no need for him to.

He's stated he woulde be away on vacation, and he's been online at SBC forums. I'd rather have him working than commenting every five.minutes feeding us smoke and purple clouds, yet at the same time I do believe this coin needs a dedicated PR/marketing person to handle progress and announcements. We have a great group of people here who are willing to support the development of this coin for the.long haul.
