Win64 BFGMiner doesn't have the http option built in, at least as of a week ago.

That would make sense the --help doesn't show it as an option in win64. So now to find if the version in minepeon on the RasPi is complied with it. If not then figure out how to compile one that does. |

Nice trick. Does that mean you also use bfgminer to mine with the cubes? Or is it just doing a stratum proxy for the cubes to make use of?

Still kinda weird, especially since it's doing that on multiple but not all cards/chips?
I wonder if it could be related to networking issues (or solder around the plug). It just sits there with the orange led lit, below the network plug, but the green one basically off, it might flicker a few times |

babaji.ca, yes I compiled myself for all the RasPi that I have and all of them worked  I didn't used any special switches; just "./configure" that's all. Did you have all the required dependencies installed mentioned in the README ? Windows or RasPi should I be using an older version?
I’m using the Minepeon Build on RasPi with the latest git pull (See HelldiverUK's post) MinePeon Version MinePeon 0.2.4.2 Miner Version bfgminer3.7.0 I already have a RasPi setup with MinePeon and BFG 3.8.0. have a blue fury running on it but want to replace it with a Cube (3 Blade box)
how do I use the proxy in BFGminer with a cube/blade? point the cube at the address of the pi then what on the pi?
Just add --http-port 8330 on the end of the command line in the settings page (before the -c blah.config bit), then point your Blade(s) to the Pi's IP address, using a unique but unimportant username for each Blade. So my MinePeon miner startup settings are #!/bin/bash
sleep 10
/usr/bin/screen -dmS miner /opt/minepeon/bin/bfgminer -S bigpic:all --http-port 8332 -c /opt/minepeon/etc/miner.conf
I run 4 Blufury’s off the RasPi (USB Hub) and stratum Proxy for 1 cube (Soon to be 2) and from what I've read 4 will happily run through the RasPi proxy My other research has confirmed that there are no Switches / Commands required for the BFGminer Proxy (The Switches / Commands are for the Slush Proxy) The above is the condensed version of what I have learnt / done since thursday to get my Cube working and I must say I'm really please with it. |

Low clock setting, I'm getting 31gh/s. on the high setting, I'll get 32... o.O
It's connected to a seasonic 1250w supply by itself and sitting in front of a fan that's blowing icy cold air at it. Any suggestions?

How long have you left it running? It took aprx 4 hours for mine on High to register the additional hashing on my RasPi (Stratum Proxy) and the pool (Eligius) went from 32ish to 38ish. |

Have you taken a look at the efficiency? I cannot hash on high with one of mine or else the efficiency goes down to around 55% and mhs stay around 30-32. |

I have an all X problem which I'm assuming is power related.
At first it was hashing away nicely for about 8 hours... then it stopped. After restarting, and then doing a full factory reset.... it will only run for about 1 hr before stopping.
power supply is a new Corsair CX750M with nothing else plugged in. Before I ran the cube on it... it was powering a 49 port USB erupter setup with no issues. :/

I will bet your all xs problem is due to one flaky board. Try running one board alone and then add back one by one to identify the offending board. |

Just a thought, has any one tried to run a stratum proxy on a NAS server?
I have a Seagate Black Armour NAS that is running 24/7 and it seems logical to run the proxy on that, if possible.

I think 4x 800 watt power supplies would be the way to go. 2 cubes on each, leaves lots of headroom I have come to the conclusion that buying a massive PSU that can power more than 2 cubes costs an arm and a leg. a 1000 - 1500 watt PSU is a niche product for someone who needs the absolutely most powerful yet compact PSU they can find to fit into a computer case. They pay a premium for it. |

I use a Corsair TX850 to power two. Four of them should do the trick for 8 Cubes. Alternatively, I am also running 3 Cubes with 2 Corsair CX750s. Depending on how much space you have and the price of these PSU's at time of purchase, some combination of them might make sense. I currently have 35 Cubes running with 7 TX850s and 14 CX750s. |

I've had my cube running great for the past few days.
But this morning I attempted to solo mine a SHA256 altcoin with my cube and I couldn't figure out how to get it working.
Has anyone setup solo mining with the cube at all? If so could you give me some pointers?
For the cube specifically all I did was change the pool ports.
My altcoin.conf file was normal, but I wasn't sure if I needed to point the RPCALLOWIP at either the miner or the IP of the computer running the altcoin.exe file with -server.
Additionally, it's my understanding that with solo mining you wouldn't using miningproxy? I even tried using miningproxy but that didn't work either.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

Just one thing? you can only have one worker name per instance of bfgminer running? For example if you have 3 cubes, running on one proxy of bfgminer then they show up in the pool stats as one worker? also hoave you found bfg miner to be very stable? I have found it crashing in the past after a few days sometimes. Not sure if it was HW fault or what. These cubes seem pretty rock solid so far...... just wondering what your experience has been like with bfgminer. |
