Yeah, OP didn't need to have a Gateway in there for it to work, but when I changed it my Cube started working so I don't know if some routers demand it or what... btw, you have you Gateway as 192.169.1.1

try adding "-gp 8332" to your batch file...

Never used Eligius before, but I have gotten mine to work on BTCGuild and Slush's pool.

As stupid as it sounds, double check your worker's name and password.  I had mine entered incorrectly after trying several different pools unsuccesfully and was missing a period in the worker name.  Undecided

Other than that I have no idea... it looks like everything is set up properly and like it should be working.

But I don't know how Eligius would know that I mined those...? Any idea?

However, using the stock mining_proxy.exe now seems to work for Slush, and I can see results at Slush. But Slush only shows 735.16 Mhash/s. The miner shows this:

So, to use Eligius, my thought would be to leave everything above the same, but change Miners user:pass to my receive address? Then use the .bat with the Eligius pool. What does the "-gp 8332" bit do?

Other than that I have no idea... it looks like everything is set up properly and like it should be working.
Until we see what is in his user:pass area, I'd be willing to guess that's where the problem is.  I run several cubes and blades and while some pools don't work well with stratum_proxy and blades/cubes, eligius and slush's pool do work just fine.  For Eligius, you have to have the username be the same as your wallet address (and that wallet has to be one you can mine to, not an exchange),and for good luck you should always send a password.  I use "walletaddress_device:x,walletaddress_device:x" when I point a cube or blade at eligius.

Ah, okay. So, I could use:

The "-gp 8332" just let's the proxy miner know to look for getwork from that port.  It shouldn't need to be added, but it doesn't hurt anything to throw that in there.

No experience with Eligius but I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction if you want to use that pool. 

What PSU are you using?  Seems a lot of people are not getting the advertised 38GH/s and I'm curious as to why... I've been running at ~97% efficiency ever since I got it working usually getting slightly over 38GH/s

Thank you, I have some idea about Eligius, but I'll work on that later. Right now, the Cube has been running about 3 hours, and Slush says it's running at 8779.13 Mhash/s. That can't be right.

Yeah that certainly doesn't sound right.  Your PSU should have more than enough juice to run it at high speed and the Cube page is showing 36GH/s.  It might just be an issue with what Slush's pool is reporting.

Personally, I don't find Slush's pool to be very reliable as I had problems accessing my stats for the very brief time that I was mining there.  I'd give BTC Guild a try as I have been steadily getting over 38GH/s with my Cube there.  I was getting 35-36GH/s at Slush's pool.

Hah!  I didn't even notice that they butchered the word "efficiency" on the Cube page.

Far out on the White Russian.  Hopefully you make one hell of a Caucasian.

Pools simply switches between the primary and secondary pool.  
Mode switches between alternating between pools, and using one the secondary pool as a fail-safe.

As far as pushing it to the 38GH range, the only thing that I can think of would be to beef up the PSU.  I think their power recommendations are a bit misleading since a lot of people are having issues with the PSU either not working on the high setting or not working at all.

Hello everyone. It's me again.  I am still having trouble getting my second cube connected.  By that I mean I still cannot get to the config screen to set up the cube.  Here is what I have done this morning. 

1. Plugged in the PCI power cable from my 1000 watt Zalman PSU
2. Plugged in the ethernet cable.
3. Powered on the PSU. All lights indicate on and running.
4. Pressed the Factory reset button for a few seconds (red light flashed a dozen time or so and then went steady red) 

I pushed the factory reset because I had entered the config page a few days ago and changed the IP. Then when I tried to access it again, I couldn't. So I want to start from the beginning. 

5. Opened my TCP/IP configuration and change the settings to:

IP Address:     192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask:  255.255.255.0
Gateway:        192.168.1.1

I then pointed my browser to 192.168.1.254:8000

The browser gave me an error page. So, I use the command prompt to check the ip config.

C:>ipconfig

Ip address:    192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway:       0.0.0.0

So, it was clear the computer would not allow the IP address and the Gateway to be the same. So I tried:

IP address:  192.168.1.1
Gateway:     192.168.1.10

No go.

Then I tried

IP address:   192.168.1.10
Gateway:     192.168.1.1

Still no go.

I then tried

IP address:   192.168.10.108 
Gateway:     192.168.1.1

And

IP address:   192.168.1.1 
Gateway:     192.168.10.108


Why can't I get to the config page?? Any suggestions?

I have a cable modem connected to a wifi router.  The thing is, I have set up one cube already and used the same procedure.  It worked on one, why not the second one?

I have a cable modem connected to a wifi router.  The thing is, I have set up one cube already and used the same procedure.  It worked on one, why not the second one? 

I really have no idea, as I don't know what you've tried, changed, etc.  Can you access your wifi router setup page.  Usually you can type in the gateway ip address into your browser to access it.  Depending on the make, the login is usually admin with no password.  Sorry if you know this already, but it seems like you need to go back to square one.

The IP should be the computer you are using to run the proxy miner, the Gateway should be the router.  They should not be the same IP, nor should they be able to be the same IP.

I have never had to type anything in to connect. It connects automatically when I boot up my computer.

Well not to connect to the router itself, but to access the settings on the router.

For example, my router's IP is 192.168.1.1 so to access the config on it, I type that into an internet browser.  I don't understand how it is possible for your router and computer to have the same IP address Huh

Default gateway is also 192.168.10.1

Ok, good.  Now you should be able to change the IP address of your router temporarily so that you can see the Cube.  You need to do this temporarily because the subnet (third # in the IP address) of the router and the Cube must match in order for you to see the cube on your network.  Because the Cube's IP address is 192.168.1.254, you need to change the router's IP address to 192.168.1.1 to see it.

If you have devices on your LAN with static IP addresses, they will temporarily loose connection with your router.  Make sure your PC or Laptop are set for DHCP so they will dynamically get a new IP address once you have temporarily changed the IP address of the router.  If they have static IP addresses on the old subnet 192.168.10.xxx, you will loose connection to the router.


There is simpler way to connect your laptop directly to the cube with an ethernet cable, but I've never tied it before and don't know exactly how to do it.

Now that I am in the admin of the router, what do I do?  Is it safe to change the IP address?  If I change the IP addrss will I be able to log back into the router and change it back?
