for a quality , i will hold it for a long time . i will not care about the price drop in the short term . but there are some rubbish coins , if you keep holding it , you will lose all your money .

If you are investing in long-term projects HODL is a good option. Especially if you don't want to waste your time looking at the chart all the time and worrying. Trading takes tons of time. But make sure to invest in coins with a future because 90% of the coins or even more will fail. I always invest in protocols such as ZRX, Zilliqa, Aternity, Wanchain, and similar.

It depends in the coins if you are holding a coins that has no potential you cant gain more profits of that you should hold a potential coin in order to have big profits.

The fact that something did or does not work out for you does not meant that it will not work out for the next person. For new investors who are just starting out you cannot possibly expect them to jump into trading coins when they do not yet understand the market. So holding is the best option for them and they can make a lot of money from it as  long as they buy low and sell high.

Yes, for those who are really starting, its better to hold and then see how it goes for them. Trading is not that for everyone, there are people who simply wish to buy and hold for long term. But for most of us, trading is a good way to earn more money specially if you are a day trader but it takes a lot of courage and know how to be able to win in this game. Most of us lost in the beginning of our journey, but it doesn't mean that we have to quit. Charge everything to experience and I'm sure that you will learn a lot from your past mistakes. I also do believed in Holding, that's why I have coins that I simply hold for long term, but I only do play in trading arena as well. Win-win situation for me.

I disagree with you since I believe the best way to earn a lot of profit is by hodling high-quality altcoins since it is like a long-term investment if you decide to trade altcoins then it is not an investment anymore so you may lose everything if you are not good enough.

   Creator of this thread looks disappointed in cryoto-currencies, in
Bitcoin especially. Where will we get with holding I don't know. I
hold investment for the first time in my life. After whole year doing
that and making my portfolio bigger I am satisfied.
   I will have better answer in 5 years from now. Next is to close, I
plan to hold for much longer then 1-2 years. Not just Bitcoins, I invested
in alt-coins, platforms, token's, casino token's. In 5 years we will see where
I am and where are people who don't have crypto-portfolio.

Obviously, its incorrect to HODL the wrong coin without doing any proper research. There are few coins which have exceptional vision and can go to the moon at the time of green market; if not, then at least it will give you decent returns for HODLing them in the long run.

For me holding is the best thing to do when you are in Loss I have always recovered huge losses with holding because when I sell in a panic it increases in the price instead of that if we hold and wait with the patience and when the market recover loss will also recover but Panic selling can give you more losses instead of recovery

Of course it will spend your money and time if you hold shitcoin. Actually it depends on coin that you're hold for. Holding is not easy man, because patience is needed beside hoding, and it hard for me to be patient in crypto currency. Holding is for wise people and who want to get more profit in the future.

 dont agree with you in some points. It depends on which coin you hold. Yes you are right if everybody holds coins, there will be no value. Some will sell, some will buy and some will hold. And also there are some coins which should be hold.

holding will not get you nowhere. holding gives you an opportunity to earn high profit, and the demand that you are talking about will come when the project itself has a latest updates or plan that will make the price increase due to its demand.

Hold only good coins, don't hold shitcoins. If you don't sure that coin will go to the moon, don't hold it, sell it if price falling.
In january I bought 1ST for 1$ and sell it in february for 0.7$, now price is 0.38$. I loss money, but only 30%, not 60%.
