Hi centurion. I am trying to figure out what earthazaar really is, but don't succeed. Is it some kind of shop run by earthcoin or is it some kind of place where everyone can sell his stuff to other people. I hope it's the second one. In my country we have something like that and it is huge. Further I hope the only way to pay at earthazaar will be eac and not even btc. Another question. Because earthazaar looks like some kind of trade-business, I can imagine government regulations might be important. With so many countries being bitcoin-unfriendly the country to base earthazaar might be worth to look into.

What I wonder is, how much buying power would we need to get EAC back to 200-300?
1 week ago, that answer to 250 would be 84 BTC, at this very moment it is 242 BTC. After there was mention of the pump last weekend a gradual rise of this buy wall started. So if this is planned, we need to wonder when the pump will happen and if not planned well, we need to look into our piggy banks to break it I guess Some tracking info: 250 = 148 BTC 300 = 207 BTC 1 day later (4 feb) 250 = 152 BTC 300 = 216 BTC 8 hours later (4 feb) 250 = 187 BTC 300 = 261 BTC 12 hours later (5 feb) 250 = 203 BTC 300 = 279 BTC 4 hours later (5 Feb) 250 = 214 BTC 300 = 292 BTC 1.5 hours later (5 Feb) 250 = 221 BTC 300 = 301 BTC 7 feb 250 = 243 BTC 300 = 324 BTC

I am doing the same calculation as well everyday. But actually for me it's kind of irrelevant, because I am not selling for 300 sat anyway. What I was thinking about is the way all different coins are run. We have scams, not much interesting to say about them. Then we have we a big group of coins that start looking for media attention right away. I guess the best example right now is MaxCoin. Allthough I think, Max Keiser is and have been really important by educating the people about what's going on in the financial world, I am not really happy with MaxCoin. When MaxCoin will be a succes it will extract a lot money from the other alts. When MaxCoin fails a lot of people outside the cryptoworld will think; "just what I thought, all the scamcoins will never be accepted". So, for me, MaxCoin feels a bit like a lose-lose situation. But, okay I was talking about the coins directly seeking for media-attention. In my opinion they are also not really going the right way. Then finally we have some coins with a longterm vision. For me this is especially EAC and a maybe a bit WDC ( but something went wrong with scharmbeck and they lost a lot of time and value). So, it might be very clear that EAC is my favorite coin. Because I am not involved ( allthough I really like to help) and don't know exactly the roadmap, I might make some comments now that are Obvious to the dev team. According the development of the coin and the long term vision I can only be very enthousiastic, according bringing the EAC to the big public we went slowly. But I guess, the dev team had their reasons to go slowly regarding media attention. When earthazaar and the earthcoin-exchange and maybe some other thinks like a multi-lingual-forum are running, I think it's time to really focus on MARKETING the coin.

Don't be mistaken if you think I would be selling at 300. I use the 250 and 300 only to show that a wall is placed up to 250 and the 300 mark is kind off a void.
Regarding WDC, I am not too sure what to think about them. Scharmbeck is supposed to be released at the 20th and they had some issues with a financial institution which they say they have fixed. But as with any coin, there is no telling what the future will hold.
Regarding MaxCoin, yeah it is a strange one. It is currently CPU only meaning that farmers will have serious competition from BOT-networks. And I do not see why the Max name would give such a boost to a coin. For those not knowing Max, it sends the wrong message. They would be better of if they had chosen some more future related coin.

The store's default currency is eac and all product prices will be listed in eac. I am still debating on whether or not to make eac the only payment option.

Ah impatient young chaps hehe Do not be dissuaded. You have never, ever had experience to deal with deflationary currencies before. It is not taught in class or economics and no Nobel Laureate has ever even been able to define 'deflation'. It is a swear word in economics. Deflation, very simply put, is the empowerment of a decentralized force. Totally counter-intuitive to maintaining control of a population - OF COURSE IT WOULD NOT BE DEFINED! Such as Russia banning Bitcoins today. Thailand, Russia, China. These Countries must ban crypto-currencies or the fat stacks of cash they surround themselves with, like Smog the Dragon, will be rendered worthless in time and so will their power. I had studied trying to define deflation many years ago an understood how it would be a disruptive force to Government and monetary authority. A good example of which occurred in 2008-2011. If you polled people in developed nations, their lives were better. They were fed through social programs but the simple fact of the matter is that they did not have to work as much and could accomplish the same standard of living - they were indirectly empowered through deflation - which of course was never mentioned in the media - but that's what it was folks IMO. So what else happens with deflationary currencies. Well for one they are BORING. 80% of their time is spent falling from 100% to 50% of their value, while only 20% is spent RISING. But rising from 0 - 1000%! You never know when it is going to happen - it is just a matter of fact that it will however. This mechanism works against how we are pre-wired while an inflationary model leads into our inherent fears and beliefs and why it was so easily adopted. It is nice to see markets rising most of the time and only falling during the Great Depression or the crash of 87 or on and on and on. The pain is over relatively quickly. I understood this early on with BTC and it changed my life.Their upside potential is infinite with respect to trade, but it is easy for our simple minds that have been trained in an instant gratification kind of way, to feel there is nothing happening during the 80% of the time that the coin is living out its days. Inflationary currencies are easy to subscribe to with respect to deflationary currencies but the fatal flaw with inflationary currencies is they burden the generation ahead!!! There is no value created and instead value is lost with each passing second. The mechanism of a deflationary currency does not feel "as good" as an inflationary one but it is more rewarding and BUILDS value for the next generation!! Anyway enjoy the adoption of EarthCoin, I have my suspicions when the rises will come, I just know they will be coming. The key is to use the BORING times to build the infrastructure and adoption. I would rather it sit at 100 Satoshi's for 6 months and maintain price stability and 'pop' and reward everyone who has traded in them and accepted them. It is coming. Build fellas, build!

Okay, thanks for the info. i have no idea what all the options are on earthazaar, but I guess people can also seek on kind of "products". So, I guess every store-owner has to list every product he wants to sell in some kind of category.

Well, to do it properly: Charity Valentine! As of the 14th till the 17th I am asking all of you to direct your miners for a charity of your chosing. Please sign up in the following thread if you want to participate. http://earthcointalk.org/forums/topic/mine-for-charity/Thanks! I honestly feel like people are glossing over the stagnation of this coin and chucking it under "long term investment". This is a crypto currency and as such should be rising not boomeranging to its starting point. Hoping for that 1000% increase is simply wishing upon a meteor or a pumping whale in this case. We are focusing on cuddling Jaguars instead of thinking like business men and MARKETING ourselves as a viable crypto currency alternative. Go back and read the progress report the dev put out. It was all about things that happened LAST MONTH and nothing of recent only the same rhetoric of "secret project in the works" like this is some school yard gossip. No one is going to steal the idea because there is no interest and frankly the whole "long term investment" motto is getting old. Long term investment until we start struggling to compete with 3rd gen crypto currencies? Do you think vert coin has not changed the game? that is a 2nd gen crypto that has taken its spot as one of the top contenders in crypto. At the end of the day, I know this is all going to fall on complacent ears and I'm going to get a whole lot of "what have you done for EAC" fanatic rhetoric and I welcome it. But when the inevitable happens and we are millions of coins deep in this well with nothing what so ever to show for it than to keep saying "long term" this and that, I hope you will remember those former EAC enthusiasts who warned you about this whole "save the whales charity" direction the devs are headed towards. THis mentality is exactly why BTC-38 deisted this coin andit seems the devs and community did not learn one bit from it which is a pure shame.
