Normally I keep my mouth shut as I am too busy working on things to chime in on here, and I generally ignore the trolls, but for all of you that are concerned about the devs I do have a few things to say.

I can contact the dev team at will, if needed, and speak with them on skype. I have their personal contact info, and can even show up at their doorsteps and invite myself in for coffee if I chose to do so, which I wouldn't of course, I don't have the time. I'm too busy creating things to be concerned with what they are doing on a daily basis, or how many coins they have. The dev team is security and privacy conscious and won't publicly post their contact details, and I don't blame them. They are real people and they are busy behind the scenes, and with their private lives.

Their real job is to be the stewards of the source code, present a public face with getearthcoin.com, and help with the initial promotion of earthcoin. I think they have done a good job with most of this. If you don't like how they are handling things go to Cryptozark's uservoice site and make a suggestion, they do listen.

There for about a week or two they were busy (mostly with Earthcoin projects) and weren't posting anything on here. I agree that they should have been more active in the community, and sent them a message saying so. As soon as I made the suggestion they came on and gave us an update, and have been posting daily. Yet there are still posts here asking where they are, I don't get it....

As for the premine. The devs have been straight up with me so far, and have compensated me from the premine for my efforts. It is a healthy amount of EAC they have rewarded me with. Considering that Earthazaar.com is there for me to make a profit (it is by no means a charity) they probably shouldn't have sent any to me at all.

So, how about everyone quit being quite so concerned about where the premine is, it is being put to good use, and try to get some things accomplished. (I have a part of the premine if you really need to know )

I suppose they could post a public ledger of the premine to keep the doubtful satisfied, but I find that I just don't really care....

Personally I think you do deserve a chunk of the premine, Earthazzar may not be a charity but all these intial efforts in the crypto world require a leap of faith on behalf of the creator and I think bounties for the work involved and the faith given in a coin are well deserved.

Now look at http://getearthcoin.com - It is optimized for mobile, table and high res screens.  It has gone from an HTML site that was a pain to update to a full php/mysql cms-driven content management system with a full backend to maintain it.  Internationalization features are being built in at which point we are going to have our community translate into multiple languages so each.  That was done in 1 MONTH out of the 2 MONTHS that EAC had been around! Not even my day job expects those kind of timelines out of one person.

Oh, and the people bountied for the mac wallet compiles (I think Instacash and taenaive?) and I am guessing linux as well.

Look at all of the above.  Earthcoin was launch Dec 20/21st.  It is JUST over two months.  That is not counting the v1.1 or v1.2 wallet updates.

And then there were the "black holes" where bounties were paid for the online wallet (scammed), to reimburse people who got funds stolen, the iphone developer kitkat007 who has disappeared, I don't know if the localearthcoins guy was bountied but he seems to have vanished as well.  And I am sure that has made the devs less hesitant to just go paying people without any assurance of follow through.

So at the very least, I can name off myself, Lucoia, Centurion, Wolfrainer, SteveoMB, Xploited, HashEngineering, Boxxl, Instacash, Taenaeive The people running the IRC and bots (I think Cheeseo or Tom17), Sprocket will about to be for the tip bot. Kitkat and boostNZ (who vanished with funds - probably the localearthcoin guy too), and the game devs that all got bountied.  Anyone else want Maybe bitcoinprbuzz as well for the interview/press-release - not sure.  Can anyone else step forward?

Oh, and BTW, I don't have any interest how much everyone else has been bountied because a) I won't go around my office building asking my coworkers how much they make because it's rude and b) the value of EAC at the time people got bountied matters so people may find the value unfair.

Also, price and market cap  is a function of supply and demand.  When it comes to supply, where do you think we are on this graph?


Honestly, based on the sine curve, with the coin production being this high, I think this period was intended to distribute more coins in the hands of more people before the mining supply starts to dry up again.  Also, remember that both merchants and miners cash out their EAC to cover their costs.

But donating to charities does not. My point is we should think in terms of publicity stunts, you know, a tit for tat.

Therefore if we decide to donate to a charity or a cause, we might as well exploit it and broadcast it to the ends of the earth. Just like DOGE did with sending the Jamaicans to Sochi. We should do something of that scope too. NOw here in lies the conceit. I feel like if, and this is a strong if, we decide  to go full force into putting blood and sweat into this, it might give the devs incentive to dump their hoard due to a relative price rise.

Having said that. You are right, there is a market to be tapped in going green. Hell the Prius and Tesla motors saw that niche and are making billions from it. What they do however have going for them is a centralized goal. We are tasked with finding a specific cause and specialising EAC with it. Earth coin can be a lot of things, it can feed the poor, provide research funds, provide relief aid for natural or man-made disasters and so on... The uses are endless but the resources and man power is finite. If we don't focus on one, we can't expect to gain the investor interest we are looking for.

Fair enough. In the heat of debate, it's easy to lose focus. And I will also say that IRL, I am currently under immense pressure from things unrelated to the discussion at hand, with no real target for my venom. My name got pulled into this, and I unloosed my venom on you. I shouldn't have.

On the subject at hand, that bolded part was what I was trying to get at. The giving side comes later. We have to build some sort of framework for it, and I think that this coin is well positioned, by virtue of the things already said, to fill that niche. Private charities do not operate at a loss, else they cease to exist. Tax funded charities, which is the world's primary model right now, deliberately operate at a loss to keep their lips on the government tit. I'll go into a lot more detail on both models in the paper I'm writing. Suffice it to say, for the moment, despite appearances we are basically on the same page. I am an anarchocapitalist with the firm belief that all people act out of the profit motive, but don't necessarily know it because they only understand the term in monetary terms. It actually means gain. Often, giving to the less fortunate gains people personally as it makes them feel good. My model of charity also gains in that it helps people to become productive. The most successful charities in times past didn't base their model on how often they served people, but by how few had to return. Using EAC as an exchange medium, I believe, can help to establish something like that. Much like 24Kilo's farm idea, employing some of those it was intended to help.

Fair enough. I won't be here if I was not willing to lend a hand. But I have to say, those who have to answer this question are those who are currently holding the bag for this coin. I have sparred insults with them in the previous threads and it is up to them to decide to step up to the plate and do something. I have nothing to gain from this coin as of now so my input is sure to be tinged with unempathetic bias when it comes down to it. Thos who stand to lose the most are those who should step up. The floor is open, I can only stand by and cheer them on.
 

I too hope the devs have already dumped, if that's their intent. My other hope is that it wasn't their intent and they are simply dragging their feet. Perhaps having run out of creative steam, or being at a loss what direction to go. If we can inspire them, rather than browbeat them, perhaps they'll step back into the fray.

If they don't, then our best course, I think, is to promote the brand's utility and image and ride it out. Once the dump is done, the damage is rectifiable. Until it happens, or they step up, it does affect the value of the coin. But building something like this up takes time and focus. Time actually works for us in this case, as the longer the coin is mined, the less the premine matters to it's price even if they do dump. Not that it won't put downward pressure on it, but the wider it's adoption, the less likely they are to sell all at once at low prices. That's what I mean when I say they are largely irrelevant IF the community itself is proactive.

Good to know. My son and I are going to start making crafts, and I'll sell on your site. My real life is in utter chaos right now, so I can't give you a timeline on that, but hopefully very soon. And yes, I do agree that you are doing right by this coin. From my POV, yeah, you should have gotten some of the bounty because what you're doing creates value. Look at all of the above.  Earthcoin was launch Dec 20/21st.  It is JUST over two months.  That is not counting the v1.1 or v1.2 wallet updates.

And then there were the "black holes" where bounties were paid for the online wallet (scammed), to reimburse people who got funds stolen, the iphone developer kitkat007 who has disappeared, I don't know if the localearthcoins guy was bountied but he seems to have vanished as well.  And I am sure that has made the devs less hesitant to just go paying people without any assurance of follow through.

Honestly, based on the sine curve, with the coin production being this high, I think this period was intended to distribute more coins in the hands of more people before the mining supply starts to dry up again.  Also, remember that both merchants and miners cash out their EAC to cover their costs.

I didnt get a bounty. And I don't need it! I work voluntary, mine and buy a lot when it is cheap. To get something from the premine wouldn't make sense. It is better to make bigger giveaways or pay coder to make cool stuff. In my POV we need to increase the money-flow-circle. That is way more effective than giving it to the bitcointalk-everyday-faces who dump it as soon as eac is on a peak.

Now look at http://getearthcoin.com - It is optimized for mobile, table and high res screens.  It has gone from an HTML site that was a pain to update to a full php/mysql cms-driven content management system with a full backend to maintain it.  Internationalization features are being built in at which point we are going to have our community translate into multiple languages so each.  That was done in 1 MONTH out of the 2 MONTHS that EAC had been around! Not even my day job expects those kind of timelines out of one person.

Just want to say thanks to all who have posted recently, have been watching/reading:

1. My absence: It shouldn't rely on one person, and hopefully it doesn't, however I've had to tend to personal matters and thus haven't been able to check in as much as I'd like so apologies - nobody is going anywhere and the rest of the team was/is still here and I will be getting someone to help look after this account again shortly so you guys have fast access to us.

 - What would make you guys sleep better? You want to see the teams wallets? You want a public ledger? Then what? What if the price still doesn't skyrocket but dips more? What if our premine is fully intact despite your accusations as it is?

2. Taking it over/forking - While that truly would suck, and I don't want to see this, if you guys do this - you will see for yourselves what it takes to try to launch a coin and all the branches that grow on you out of nowhere that take over your life even if you get a group of great people to help thanks to a crazy deregulated market.

I still have not sold ONE coin and don't need to as this isn't an opportunistic move for the team it's a long term project and journey and we have funds/money already from previous life moves. I've helped push eac various times with my own money, I've pretty much sacrificed most other things in life for the past two months to see this through. Unfortunately it hasn't just kept climbing however neither have other coins far more established than us. The others in the core group have also not dumped any of their coins, including Wes despite him taking the brunt of the hate lately.

Maybe what we'll do is take screenshots and provide addresses and do a send to myself so you guys can see that only things the premine have been used for are the giveaways and bounties and the rest is still there... If all that's missing for you guys is some trust and more transparency I'm game. The dumps you guys are seeing are not from the team, they are from miners, shops, weak hands (or profit takers however there isn't much profit atm).

We apologize for not being as bullish lately however the whole industry is upside down atm and we're unfortunately still waiting on things like the ap wallets and upgrading the wallet itself. I do feel that once we are over the current low phase things will get better.

I think I have also been going about this the wrong way as it is quite frustrating to be accused of these things when I only put my best foot forward with the project.

None of you know me.  I have cultured an anti-establishment perspective for a long while and paid the price for that in my younger years!  In my adult years I found ways to channel that energy and it has been a very satisfying life to say the least.

When Norb asked me to be a part of EarthCoin, knowing who he was and our developer, it was a no-brainer for commitment.  Our dev who we will call John has had his hand in many coins such as WorldCoin, Nxt Coin and a few others.  Sold them to investment fellas and groups.  In fact in my opinion he was sheistered and barely profited from his efforts.  EarthCoin he decided to keep in house and have Norb and I start it off.  We trust one another and know that no one in this group is here to steal anything from anyone.  Karma is a big part of my existence and to this day I have NEVER done anyone wrong - for Institutions I can not say the same thing.   All the boys on the direct team are investigated for similar principals. 

Some in this community feel the exact opposite of how we feel and think they are being scammed or someone 'dumped' coins.  It is terrible considering from my perspective we have only tried to add to the community with NO REWARD what so ever.  I personally will be taking this coin to 0.00 if that is where it goes and I will go down with the ship, not having sold one single coin.  It would be sad to see but with the deconstructive conversation here, that is a possibility.

I think if we could sit down and realize what we are all here for, and as much as we all have differing personalities, that the only way to grow this coin is together through collective efforts.  I will keep trying to do that and I would suggest those who do not like me, work with Cryptozark or someone else.

We all have our problems in life but I do not bring them to the EarthCoin community.  No one cares I have 7438 coins in Gox, when I knew my money was trapped, I just kept buying all the way down.  So put your concerns in perspective and I can tell you with out hesitation that Norb, nor I are here to take ANYTHING from ANYONE and instead hope to add to everyone's life with this project over time.  No dev has dumped coins and left you all holding the bag just so we are clear.  That is not the game I play in life, and thankfully because I have never stolen from anyone I have the privileges I do in life.  I plan on keeping it that way.

Regarding this, I understand where you are coming from in the fact that the majority of people here are in this for the money, heck I am too!  To be honest if I had anything to offer the community in terms of development I would, but my area of knowledge is not beneficial to the coin unfortunately.

Disclosure of the premine will most likely not have any direct effect on the price of EAC, and in reality should not effect the supply vs demand of the coin will probably not be changed to much.

I think the important aspect of disclosure of what you have records of in terms of paid bounties etc would be the impact on the community, and the impact on what people see when the come into this thread to see what EAC is all about.  Unfortunately one of the bigger sources of what the coin and community is about will come from here in this thread and the impressions people get from reading here and people coming and complaining about their disapproval of certain things.

If you are looking to create more value for EAC, which will essentially create more value of your remaining premine to commission work towards the coin, then that value will come from what people see from the community.  Crypto values are so funny right now, as the supply and demand of coins are all based around almost entirely rumors, potential future values, and no real current tangible value as of the use of it right now, except for a few merchants.  

The community can do a lot with a coin, but people are generally need a little push in the right direction

Wes has 7438 coins in Gox?  Did you not post in the reddit page asking people how much they lost?  The most I saw was 2500 I think.  Thats crazy, i moved my BTC off there months ago and I only got into Crypto's last year so it wasnt loads.  You must have had a lot in total because I would have cashed a good chunk off that out by now and retired.

Yes I got what I deserved but will still cross my fingers haha.  Make a mil, lose a mil.  Its about a REAL loss of $350k.  I threw in $500k, It turned into $4.5M and I took out about $150k....so in all I guess I will lose $350k  I will meet up with Mark one day, so for now I will give him time to rectify the situation.  I am in no hurry haha.

My job.  Well my job is pretty large I feel.  Partners, partners and more partners.  As big a player I can find and assimilating talent.  Offering my advice on the coins movement.  I have been spot on with the price direction even though no one liked what I had to say.  None of this is a surprise and totally expected for a deflationary currency.  I personally have studied these types of money systems on my own for half a decade or more actually.  It is simply astounding to me and nothing of it will be taught at the finest of schools, as it is a destabilizing mechanism with respect to order and control - in theory.

I had a utopian perspective with respect to these currencies but I am starting to realize that as much as we would like to be free, we are not capable of that.  We need to be led and governed or we will eat one another and it is sad.  So as much as I have studied, I am also realistic in a collective communities abilities.  We all seem to only thrive when we can identify a villain hahaha - Thinking a movement can thrive with a collective ideology is a fools game and always ends in disarray.  We are 1000's of years from evolving into this mentality.  Crypto-Currencies came a millennium ahead of time.  However they also would not work with quantum computers (No change in difficulties )

Just sync up and do the transfer from your own personal wallet from your own A to B all 30 million, try to do it within the same block, go on skype.
Then we know its not just one 30 million piece transfered 5 times, and we can see it in the blockchain.

I don't know why they didn't plan on a better solution for premine transparency from the start.
