Someone posted to this particular thread already, but I'll make it easy for you ;-)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=380010.0 (Title:  Earthcoin giveaway thread, get 20000 EACs to up to 500000 EACs! (Closed)

BTW, can't believe I missed that.  *shakes fist*

Also, after working with the devs for a little, I believe the overall strategy was to make it so that no one person was in charge of the entire premine.  That means if one of the original devs went rogue, they couldn't run off the entire premine.   Again, look at what happened with Pandacoin in the last few days and see what happens when the premine goes to one person.  They can DUMP THE WHOLE THING.  That meant that there were several pots.  When some sort of campaign was started (such as funding giveaway/promotions, faucets, bounties, etc) then people would have to pull from the individual pots that they controlled and pool into bigger pot that was designated for the next round of bounties or giveaways or whatever.

I know that when I was bountied, I only received it from one address, but the other devs had conversations leading up to it saying they were putting X-amount into the bounty pool and I was paid from that pool.

Maybe the others can chime in here, but I believe that's the way the finances work.

that didnt explain the need to create a new address to send the "remainder" to after every single transaction. after every transaction the old address was emptied and abandoned. this is thousands of transactions.

your post said nothing on this subject. just the same as before "it was used for bounties, giveaways, etc"

I was laughing when I read this. Your ignorance of how tx input/output works does not make you an argument against the dev. Think who would make this to empty an address and move remainder to another one? Why not go check blockchains like Bitcoin or Litecoin? or any other coin? see similar patterns? know how tx in/out work? Learn man, but before you understand it, don't post stupid things like this... it just make people who understand it laugh Grin

Actually I do know. And I've looked at my own chain. The patterns are NOT the same. When I send money it goes from my address to the destination with some going back to MY ADDRESS. And not my entire balance either.

I love EAC  Grin   it's never boring me. lots of activity on this forum  Cheesy
Now the times 5!  very exciting what will happen, if dumped then I will buy, more buy support then I will not sell  Tongue. Question for the devs has anyone addressed the timeout issue's already?? Still getting lots of timeouts on the earthcointalk site and earthazaar gives an 500 internal server error. Everyone have a nice x5 today on this sunny day here (in the netherlands), propably also raining somewhere else right now  Wink

I know of the timeout issues some people are having and have been trying to duplicate them on my end and haven't been able to. So, I am still looking for the problem. The 500 internal server error on Earthazaar was because of a problem with a caching plugin I was working with this morning. It should have only lasted a minute or two.
Probably the timeouts are related to the location of the server, there are 22 hops to make from here.
In the ping results you can see that some of my requests take 1500+ ms.

Well the X5 has started. Hold on to your hats and see where the next 24 hours will bring us:)
Looks like the same things last times happened on the 2x & 5x days is going on right now: The net hashrate & diff increases 2/5 times so every miner just gets around 10% of the coins they make on a normal day.
I mine everything except eac on those 'special reward' days

Very relevant quote:

"No, they don't. They should, they ought to, and they have a moral obligation to, but they are completely fucking irrelevant to the coin's success or failure. The community they gathered can and should view them as just another group. This coin, like most, is open source and community owned. Even with the premine, it's open to anyone capable of mining it or buying it on an exchange. Or selling goods and services for it.

Cryptozark seems like the prime mover these days. Wes seems largely caught in the middle. It don't matter. It's guys like Earhazaar and ATXsilver who will move this coin to the next level. Being traded on Cryptsy is cool in the short term. Being traded for real world goods and services is PRICELESS. Bitcoin wouldn't work if you couldn't buy shit with it. If it just traded on exchanges, it would have died already. Forex and commodity trading are quite valid markets, but without a wide dispersion OUTSIDE that paradigm, the coin is worthless."

CryptoZark has some very good team leading skills for certain and he has been tasked with assembling the next group of individuals to take us through to 33% creation.

I was looking into N-Scrypt however developers will be far and few between.  If anyone has a talented friend they would like to refer me that would be great.  But you are spot on with my effectiveness.  My role has become less and less percentage wise as the community becomes greater and greater.  I still put forth the same amount of effort however it is reduced as a whole divided by a larger base of participants.

We will be assembling teams inside skype to have some collaborative chats soon as well.  See if we can get some calls to action in place.

I have made some changes to Earthazaar.com. If those that were having timeout issues would check to see if they are still having them, and report back here, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

If this fix works I will also use it on Earthcointalk.

it is pure speculation and does not mean a thing. That wall will go by 1 press of a button if the owners thinks he can gain more elsewhere.

How can it be speculations when the wall is there? It is happening. I understand what you are saying but its not speculation.

What I mean by speculation is that the wall is intended never to reach that level. The wall will most likely drop as it hits it or be put lower to make sure it will not hit the wall. So from that part it is speculation. And off course the owner of the wall is hoping to push the coin, but that does not depend just on the wall. There must be interest from the market to actual move. Not just a wall.
