This is exactly correct and the reason many poker websites are eliminating the high stakes heads up tables altogether and though we were urged to do the same, we are testing the option of keeping them which players are still enjoying.  The same stakes and higher can be found at 6/9 seat tables with the lower rake and most of these tables will run heads up anyway.

And we have some great things coming Twitchy we can assure you of that.  2016 will be a great year for Betcoin and our great players.  Good luck everyone.

Also, while I'm here - an unhappy (former) Betcoin HU reg sent me this after he realized Betcoin changed the rake from a 1 or 2 chip cap to infinity...

I'm not sure exactly why he chose to multiply everything by 20, there may be a good reason I haven't considered,  but every stat is based on what the total rake would be at a HU table after 20 pots before the rake change, and after.



I think it's safe to assume Betcoin either doesn't understand how ridiculous it is to have no cap online, especially HU - or - they are aware of the damage HU Cash games can do to a poker ecosystem and want to get rid of them (this would be a very smart move imo).  Rather than simply close the tables, they  decided to increase the rake astronomically without bothering to send out an email or some sort of notification - this could easily cost the mid-HS regs enough to fund several freerolls in the future.

Can't wait to see what they do next.

This is all I know: They have not been dishonest with me....I have been keeping up with the thread and doing my own calculations; everything in my account seems fair and square.  I do concede that there may be some issues with transparency, customer support, and conflict resolution; however, they've been fair with me.  I spend my money at Betcoin.ag but I wouldn't if I thought that they were trying to scam me out of it.

I haven't had any issues with 5dimes.  Bookmaker and BetDSI also seem good.

I'm not faulting anyone for playing on betcoin, the options are certainly limited for many.

But there's no excuse for running around praising the pros and ignoring the cons.

Because of their ethics, any success for Betcoin is a long term failure for Bitcoin Poker.

Lying to players and keeping money they aren't entitled to is unacceptable and inexcusable.

In my opinion if you are going to play at lower stakes it is an ok site to play because of how they have always had fast withdrawals. The problem is that looking at the totality of the circumstances, the way they conduct themselves. ... customer service...lies to players...pay for favorable posts... not banning colluders or multi accounts or picking and choosing who they ban...not returning funds to players who have been cheated...etc., etc., I don't like the way they do things.  At higher stakes, if you  can find a game, I  would be leery to play here... a poker site can scam you and if they do it correctly you would never find out about it if a site does not get too greedy, variance is a scammers friend....I have not seen anything that suggest  it in this site...just that I don't like the way things are done....just be aware that a person with some technical computer knowledge, who has access to a sites server with a debugger running, can actually see the RAM of the server and actually see your  hole cards....again I have not seen anything to suggest that here...but just knowing what I know I would not be comfortable playing high stakes on a site where a lot of the things they do and say  just do not make any sense.

You are missing the whole point of the discussion, shill (seems to be a theme).  It's not about who is better, it's about what Betcoin can do to become better.  They do some things very well.  That's good!  They also do some things very badly.  That's bad!  If we hold them accountable and make them see their failings, maybe they will improve and stop doing the things that they do badly, badly.  

It's like poker.  Poker is a game of imperfect information.  You observe things that your opponents are doing, and based on logic/history/things you've seen before can draw inferences that allow you to play closer to optimally against them.  People experienced in the poker industry know that sites that do things badly, especially customer service, don't progress.  Because they alienate a large part of their customer base.  We also know that sites that ignore very basic problems, and attack the people that bring those problems to light are problematic.  Because there is no reason for a site to try to hide things that they get wrong, if their intentions are good, except for malice or ignorance.  If I had to honestly guess, I would guess that the people running Betcoin do not conduct their actions (or rather inaction) because of malice...they do them because of ignorance.  And while that IS bad, it's not as bad as it could be and it is fixable.  Just be smarter!  Be more humble!  Nobody wants Betcoin to fail, because the more options we as players have, the better it is for us.  But with the business model that they have in place...or maybe because of the people who are executing that business model...failure is inevitable.

Now feel free to reply with something based on the first couple of words that I wrote.  Gotta get that fraction of a penny per post count up!

cjmoles, these guys login to Betcoin.ag daily and play very frequently.  They spend more time posting and logged into Betcoin than you do or even I do and I am paid to do it.  We appreciate their passion and hope they continue to be passionate about Betcoin and they are welcome anytime to play.  We were discussing it in the office and it's similar to the person who watches a show everyday only to say how bad the show is!  All the person does is drive up the show's ratings and create interest which is good for business.  

This thread for example will break the 4,000 post mark very soon and is almost always on the front page, we never would have though this possible just one month ago.  It's driven up interest in our signature campaign which is almost full of 50 members and drives new visitors to the website everyday.  

If you can create something in life that people are this passionate about where they claim to be displeased but still are compelled to participate everyday, then you have something special and you all are a part of something special.  It has been a tremendous amount of fun to work for Betcoin and what the team is working on it will only get better and bring out more passion in our great players.  Good luck!
