After an extensive review and research, Betcoin Poker was able to pinpoint the programming error that caused the rake overcharges from 10/30/15-12/9/15 and is providing refunds to players or a Daily Coin Ticket based on the following criteria. If a player played at Betcoin Poker using the 100% rakeback promo, the player will technically owe funds to Betcoin. Instead of taking these funds from the player account, the player can create a ticket requesting a Daily Coin Ticket in lieu of the account review.

Each player requesting a refund of the overcharged rake must create a ticket here: www.betcoin.ag/support. The review of the player account will take up to 10 business days to complete. If the player owes Betcoin funds, the player's account will be deducted those funds, however if the player chooses to accept a ticket in lieu of a review, the player will be awarded the ticket.

I don't think I fully understand.

Are you saying that you may have accidentally taken too much money from me, but in order to find out whether you did I have to forego a free tournament entry?

How am I meant to know whether the value of the proposed bribe is bigger or smaller than the amount you accidentally took from me before you tell me how much you took from me?

Couldn't you just tell me how much you took? It shouldn't be too hard to make a list of how much each player is short:

  Loop over all the hands in the affected period {
Calculate the amount of rake taken
Subtract the amount of rake that should have been taken
Assign the difference to the relevant player totals
  }

If that's too much, could you maybe send me my hand history over the relevant period so I can do the math for myself please?

Thanks.

See, this is where people have to use logic.

Read the above exchange.

Now ask yourself...how could Betcoin know how many people received a phishing email?  Betcoin obviously doesn't have access to individual players email accounts.  The implication is clearly that THEY sent us the phishing emails, or they know who they sold our information to.  There is literally no other way for them to know exactly how many players received the phishing emails.

Yeah, I'm looking for the playpen games too. I missed out on last weeks playpens. How many will there be? I only saw two last week, but that was later in the day/evening and I couldn't play them because I had other plans.

Not a big tourney player, but also looking forward to some OSS VI action in the upcoming weeks.

Quick Play Pen Review

I was able to play in the last Play Pen of last night. It was pretty interesting, being as it was my first time to play in this kind of setup/structure not knowing what to expect really. Before it started, I thought it would be a nitfest with the long(-ish) level times. But it was not at all, helped by it being 6-max tables with antes. In fact, it was pretty loose with all kinds of action from start to end. Within about five hands or so into it I found myself in a four-way all-in with pocket aces. Luckily they held up and set me up for doing pretty well for the rest of the way.

I realized quickly that you don't even have to worry about any of the other tables or what your or anyone elses rank is at anytime during the tournament. The only thing you have to concern yourself with are the players and stacks at your table.

Anyway, that was my experience. It was a fun change from the normal cash game grind and I like that there were 4 or 5 games back to back (2 hour start times apart from each other with each game lasting less than one hour so everyone in the previous game could join the next if they wanted) even though I was only able to play in the last one of the night. It would be cool if it ran more than once a week though, in addition to just Fridays.

Hey before people put money on the site to play the OSS (which players can play on any other WTN site), could you explain why you keep sending the players phishing emails?  That's very concerning.  None of the other WTN sites send me phishing emails, and all of them accept bitcoin deposits.  Why would I trust my money to a site that sends it's players phishing emails?

So yesterday affternoon I was in Betcoin chat explaining how the other skins of WPN worked:

2:49pmOHYEAH: yeah on 5dimes you can request 27% flat rb
2:49pmOHYEAH: you get rb or the vip program
2:49pmOHYEAH: not both
2:51pmOHYEAH: try betdsi or moneybookers
2:51pmOHYEAH: etc
2:51pmOHYEAH: sharktank is WPN cash, spin n gos mtts
2:51pmOHYEAH: same thing, same payment processors

Then Boom, ban #9 for me I believe.

A minute later I see Andrew in the chat so i fill out the 3 fields required to make new account "twiitchyseal" and ask him why he banned me.   Get banned again.

So I pull up live support and we get off to a rocky start but I was able to have a decent conversation with George (customer service) which was something I never thought would happen.  He says he doesnt know why I was banned but would try and find out, and I believe he will try mostly because he's customer support, not management (I think)  But I don't believe he will find out, or if he does, he will not tell me.

So I open a ticket:

Quote
Earlier today my account was disabled.

I believe andrew disabled it it as he was in chat immediately after when I created another account to finish my conversation.

I think anytime a player is banned an explanation should be given on exactly why they are banned and how long they will be banned for. This would reduce the need to create multiple accounts simply to communicate.

Here's the rest of the ticket...

Why am I posting all this?  Because it's a good example of Betcoin treating a player like shit.  Obviously they hate me for trying to prevent them from getting away with so much BS and insist on playing this game where the things they say are the complete opposite of their actions.  This time it's me, so it's easy to post, but they do it to lots of players.  They do it because they think they can get away with it by throwing money broke players they see begging for money on their site or signature campaign grinders for saying good things about them and bad things about anyone who says otherwise.

Whoever is behind Betcoin calling the shots in the end, if you're reading this, this is why your site has done nothing but tread water for 2 years.  You could be averaging 300-800 players easily on a weeknight if you just owned your mistakes and didn't have a reputation of trying to buy a reputation.

Update:

Betcoin decided to use same strategy to explain my ban that they used to explain scammers suddenly having our email/login info, rake increasing and collecting for jackpot which didn't exist.  Passive aggressive arrogance also maintained.

Seems like a pretty unsafe system if people can get randomly banned and nobody knows why.  Perhaps even more of their infrastructure has been compromised?

Seems like a pretty unsafe system if people can get randomly banned and nobody knows why.  Perhaps even more of their infrastructure has been compromised?

What would be worse?  If they are lying or telling the truth?

Will last as long at the Jewish fighting the Palestine.

The horrible thing about this whole thing is that the worst case scenario is if they are telling the truth.  If they have been telling the truth this whole time, that means that they let someone nefarious access their back end server (that's how they know exactly how many users have received phishing emails like they said) and that that person/persons has now accessed parts of their back end that they didn't intend (that's why users are being banned and nobody knows why).  Are the private keys of the hot/cold wallets next?  What about player's passwords?  Oh wait, weren't those compromised a few months ago?

Is there a lie that is worse than Betcoin's truth?  If this isn't the actual truth, why would they make up a lie that's worst than the truth?
