Why are you guys bitching so much? I think that you made bets without reading the rules. Of course you have to understand how it works before you start betting.

In my opinion, Directbet is right.

I'm not arguing rules. I clearly understand the difference between flexible and negotiate odds.

I'm arguing execution.

DB was offering 5.6 on Fischer. I submitted a Negotiate bet (with min odds at 5.6) on Fischer. They received it while it was still open for betting at 5.6. Odds had not changed. My bet should have been confirmed INSTANTLY. Instead, it sat PENDING for over a minute. During this time, I refreshed the odds and they were sitll available at 5.6. As soon as Fischer completed the break, the odds dropped to 2.8, and my bet status changed from PENDING to NEGOTIATE.

DB comes back and says the odds were never at 5.6. Untrue - and I showed proof. Then they acknowledge the odds were at 5.6, but my bet was received when the odds were at 4.6.

DirectBet- Your rules allow for a 3 hour delay then you can tell us after the game if a bet is good or not. Your program and rules are flawed if you can't tell us within 1 minute if a bet is good. Deposit books tell us immediately.

No Peeps, we tell you immediately, within a few seconds, whether your bet is accepted or rejected.

If your bet transfer is received after the event is already over, it will get rejected and refunded.

The problem with your bet was that your wallet did not send the transfer right away. It held it for 7 minutes, during which we had no way to tell that you sent in your bet.

I may be your biggest player but I'm not letting you hold my BTC7 for half an hour until you decide bet. My BTC now goes to books with instant confirmations.

We don't hold bets and we never did.

It is the web wallet provider who held the transfer for 7 minutes.

I submitted evidence to support this :

wow you're being absolutely ridiculous, there's no way a proper bookie would refund you either, they would most likely close your account and send you a fuck off letter. You should try to understand how their site works before fully betting with your heavy selections. They have assumed many mistakes in the past and have done lots of things in favor of the customers but now you're just plain wrong so stop filling this thread with your silly posts.

Pay me! You still haven't acknowledged this!

We never failed to pay a winning bet, but here, there is no bet to pay !

You canceled this bet !! Then after it turned out to be winner you are coming here to the forums and asking that we pay you for a bet that does not exists ?

You sent us your bet on 16:58 and set the minimum required odds to 5.6 :

https://blockchain.info/tx/fd2afa20c7db050992dcc0682f3a124d21618c8b4ac9e090c62400af90a8f72c

Your bet did not confirm when it arrived because the odds were lower than 5.6. You then decided to cancel the bet on 16:59.

Your bet was then canceled per your request and refunded after there was 1 confirmation in the Bitcoin network for your initial bet transfer, on 17:08 :

Here is the refund transaction :

https://blockchain.info/tx/433b348a698cb8918f51a815628cb56c28c8c46e08042893a2c20b260a297a02

We never failed to pay a winning bet. There is no bet to pay here though. It was canceled by you and refunded about an hour before the game ended :

Odds were 5.6 when it arrived. You tried to tell me that the odds never reached 5.6, but then backed off that stance when you saw I had proof. You waited to confirm my bet until Fischer completed the break. Then you dropped the odds to 2.8. Of course I canceled it then!

Problem for you is that the odds did change by the time the transaction was received. They were lower than your minimum 5.6 odds.
Since the odds offered at the time the transaction was received did not meet your standards, you had your coins refunded.
Pretty straight forward.

You misquoted me by quoting just part of the e-mail that I sent you.

Had you quoted the entire e-mail, it would have been clear that I meant the odds never reached your minimum required odds of 5.6 after your transfer was received.

May I please ask why you keep betting on our website, if you truly believe that we are treating you unfairly ?

You placed bets on our website today, and won. Congratulations !

Yes, to qualify for the prize, your bet stake must be at least 0.01 BTC, 0.5 LTC or 10,000 DOGE on any event that starts after the start time of the previous winning bet's event.

For the rescue challenge, in order to reset the odds, your winning bet needs to be from any event that started after the rescue challenge announcement.

Currently 0.5 LTC = 0.005875 BTC
and
10,000 doge = 0.0035 BTC

This makes it way easier for someone using alt-coins to get the reward,

You should consider either making 0.005 BTC minimum or raising the minimum for doge to 30,000 and LTC to 1.0
I'd prefer the former , because I rarely make bets over 0.005 BTC

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

You are right. The Bitcoin value of Litecoins and Dogecoins fell sharply recently.

We don't think it would be fair to increase the minimum bet size during the contest, but we will update it for the next contest.

So if you're betting with Litecoins or Dogecoins, you can bet less and win more !

All these butthurt people are coming here and raging , stopping any constructive discussion.

they are a bookie, but the odds are highly juiced during live betting, making the bookie tons of $ when either side wins. smart for the bookie yes, customer satisfaction no.
