yea, so i signed up for esoteric investments.

then i clicked on the my account menu, and clicked on 'settings', and low and behold...."page not found" lmao

that says a lot right there haha.

did anybody order the business records service certificate? https://www.njportal.com/DOR/businessrecords/EntityDocs/BusinessStatCopies.aspx

the company says their entity id is 0400647595

the price is about 36$ for the records.

if anyone gets it, post it up here. also people need to email their support and try to get some official contact information!

and if they really are in New Jersey, somebody pay a visit!

How does this mess compare to pirate's scam? Calculating in BTC makes no sense because it's so long ago,
but dollar-wise..?

BTCST (The pirateat40 Ponzi) gathered around $5M. BT is relatively small compared to that one. Especially if you consider that the target audience was much smaller back then, with way less people knowing about Bitcoin and owning any Bitcoin.

its simple ppl, if there's no human contact by phone to a company, there's just no validity to it.

its nothing but an invisible entity with only a website to identify it by, that by some trick when you send money to it, it (fingers crossed) returns it back to you.

so simple, take the risk or not, and pull out before it sinks.

try asking the company for actual documented proof of how they make their profits. the actual recorded transactions, like you can produce as if you are trading on wall street.

when you have that, then THEN you can boast that it has some credibility.

till then, good luck

Seems they are already operating a new scheme: https://www.esotericinvestments.com
I have contacted their support with a silly question and the reply was almost identical to what BT replied at the time they were still replying.
What was the question and response from Esoteric Investments and Bitcoin Trader?
...
From the Facebook Bitcoin Trader Customers Association page:
Dan Pace ....I have been with Esoteric Investments from the beginning which was actually founded late March...
...
In an effort to inspire some trust in Esoteric Investments I invite anyone with questions and concerns to contact me as I do have extensive knowledge of the company from my role in its formation.
...
Can all these people recover their losses investing in Esoteric Investments?
If yes the link is www.esotericinvestments.com
What is esoteric's investment strategy? You expect people to go at the same Ponzi scheme again? A ponzi is a ponzi... I hope to never hear about another, much less promote one. And I hope they all get busted. It's not a sustainable way to create wealth, somebody has to get burned. Are you thinking they have a real sustainable source of income besides new members? Do you believe BT did?

Hey y'all!
I was reading this forum throughout my whole BT-experience to keep track of the public opinion and be prepared for whatever was coming. I was in for only a few hundred euro's, 'cause I wanted to see how long it would last.
The funny thing is, though, that I was making a Dutch translation of the website and they even payed me $300 in advance. I was nearly finished and have spent some real effort in it, so I am pretty disappointed with this outcome. I had a lot of e-mail contact with 'John Carley' as well, if this will ever come in handy for 'chasing the criminals' as stated above, I would be pleased to help.
Also, this means I have HTML-files of all the non-member-areas of the website. So I still have their Terms and so on. If this ever might come in handy, just let me know.
Put them online.

Okay, so here's the website in html, including the privacy agreement and terms&conditions. Also, a list of all the different representatives (including phone numbers and other credentials, although I doubt the representatives to know anything about what's going on) and all of the newsletters.

https://www.mediafire.com/.../shared

(don't be scared off by an empty screen, takes some seconds to load the content)

I would also love to help in/hear from any (legal) actions taken against them.
@Dingaantouwtje; very thanks to post your files.

i did some math few days ago and looking at their wallets they ran with about 7 mils USD

Hmm, I'm really curious if rammy2k2's calculations are right. That would be scary..

The amount of BTC on BT's accounts supposedly equal up to over 20k. That's at least $7,847,369.16 as of right now.

Their own claim was that they had  2.2 million under management.   They where on share #32152  as of 9/25/14..  They would have had somewhere around 10383 shares expired So that means they had about 21769 shares outstanding.   That is at least 435,380  (At 20 dollars per share)  The trick that makes calculation tricky is that each share could be for any interval of 20 dollars... so you could have one share worth 50k..  They where selling on average 250 shares per day..  I assume most of these where renewals. During the initial phases they where selling 50-75 shares per day on average Then after about June that moved to 150 shares per day then mid July it moved to 200 shares per day.

A sizable chunk of this money is bogus money that never really existed.   If this was a HYIP, then the earnings never happened..   The shares 'earned' 80 percent at the beginning and about 65 percent at the end. Where investors re-invested their 'earnings', There is money that never really existed floating out there as shares owed, but the money was never deposited into the system at all..

The folks who cashed out their earnings wound up with a good chunk of the money from the folks that re-invested..

You can actually "invest" in these types of schemes as a high risk type of play and make some decent return.  The trick is knowing when they're gonna pull the plug.

lol it's getting amazing

yeah it's for sure better than my daily soap opera. Always having some popcorn and a six-pack ready next to me Smiley

You're a character in it, Sunny.
I was just reading back through your aggressively pro BT posts and wondering whether you were:
a) Part of it
b) Knowingly 'invested' in a Ponzi and puffing it to make sure you got out in good time
c) In denial

Seeing as you're still here, I'd say c) ??

I invested on day one and made a lot of money out of it. Same with zeekrewards, profitable sunrise, panamoney and a dozen others. You just have to smell that they are going big, that's it.

Ah, so it's b) then.

Quite funny really with hindsight, everybody's villain Yonce telling the truth and being slagged off by people who knew he was right.
Yonce was a scumbag. He was slagging off this HYIP (rightfully so) while actively promoting other HYIPs that he was a part of that have since closed.
