What's happening with the XCP price?  Are people worried about sidechains?  I noticed XCP and MSC prices have been moving in sync lately, but XCP is way down in comparison over the last 24 hours:

Sure but that price wasn't set by the market.  Anyway, I'm not knocking XCP.  I think it's great.  I'm just wondering if anyone has an explanation for the recent deviation in price between it and MSC.

the price is just correcting as the initial hype is over. the buy wall on bter looks to be thinning out, keep an eye out for cheap coins.

Simple send and receive seems to work fine.
Asset buying and selling on the other hand, is a minefield, and is going to need re-thinking/working, if its to be adopted in a meaningful way, IMO.

Management fees for the cost of running the hardware is set at 3% and will be deducted from the payout prior to dividend payment.

Hedging against price movements of GHS/BTC
I'd like to also announce the development of the CEX.IO GHS/BTC VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) broadcast. Each day, just after 00:00 GMT the VWAP price of GHS/BTC on CEX.IO will be broadcast. You may use this to hedge against the price of a GIGAHASH falling! Test broadcasts will start in approximately 1 week's time and I hope the feed will be production-worthy by the time Counterwallet has betting available on main-net.

FAQ
Why is there a discount for GIGAHASH when purchasing in XBTC?
Because I issued XBTC and I want you to use it :-). Seriously, this is an experiment on the DEX and I want you to use as many features of Counterparty as possible.

Will I start earning BTC immediately when I hold some GIGAHASH?
No this is not CEX.IO. You will receive a dividend proportional to your holdings of GIGAHASH within 24 hours of when Eligius pays SMEG. Part of the fun when pricing your order is to consider the expected time to dividend payment :-)

How secure is the equipment backing GIGAHASH?
All GIGAHASH is undersubscribed by 10% to cover small unforseen circumstances. Should something go catastrophically wrong, I will pay the dividend from my own pocket. You will also see I have started hashing ahead of the public sale of GIGAHASH.

What are your plans for the future?
This is an experiment. What happens in the future depends on you the community. You can see the amount of hash power backing GIGAHASH is very small. If you take action and there is interest, I will progressively add hash power and issue more GIGAHASH for sale. I have the knowledge and contacts to scale this experiment to a fully functioning market if you want it to be one.

As to the exchange rate decline in the XCP token/platform value:

As I kept trying to bring up in the past, there should be clear marketing message that will emphasize the areas in which XCP is needed exclusively. There is a difference between Counterparty the platform on which for 73 USD cents in current rates (0.5xcp) one can create assets, and XCP the token that is the exclusive token on which betting and other financial products can be created.

Examples/ideas:

Demo or real decentralized betting assets and better yet a demo or real betting platform on top of CP will go a long way to establish a higher value for xcp and market cap.  

Also, maybe someone that can answer technical/modeling/marketing can contact coindesk and the likes to get interviewed and have them make a feature on CP and its potential.  

btw: i think that reducing the price per asset to 0.5 xcp is not good for the platform and for xcp's value. maybe not 5 but why 0.5?

Thanks for pointing out the ambiguity. The 10% incentive only exists for the initial release of GIGAHASH and not going forward.
