I'd like to invest in Swarm. Can I do that from the online wallet?
Yes, you can use Counterwallet or Blockchain.info. Has anyone put together info on how to go about that? I haven't used a decentralized asset exchange before. There is no need to use the DEx. Here is the process. 1. Fund Counterwallet with your bitcoins or XCP 2. Send the bitcoins or XCP to the address specified by an official Swarm representative 3. The Swarm coins will show up in the address you sent from automatically 4. That is all Here are a couple videos that show Counterpwallet's functionality. It's quite intuitive. Trading on Counterparty's Decentralized Exchange: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZziQ2Ns8314Issuing smart properties: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyzA5Lj1ajMIs there any way to verify the Swarm balance on my address if I choose to send BTC from a BTC wallet? I believe that would be possible directly in Counterwallet. You will need to use Blockscan if you use Blockchain.info to initialize your balance of Swarm coins. Blockscan: http://blockscan.com/Would I need to import my private key to Counterwallet or Blockchain in order to check the Swarm balance there? That's incorrect, Matt. You can check the balances of any address at Blockscan.com. You can also set an arbitrary address as a 'watch-only' address in Counterwallet, in case you do want to you that. (No private key imports.) Sorry for the incorrect information there guys.

Also where to find details about the swarm ipo?
Do I need to contact someone at Swarm in order to find out where to send the BTC? www.swarmcorp.com doesn't have any contact info. Swarm is in an indication of interest phase. I think they will make an announcement of some kind when the real sale begins on June 17th.

Do you want to cloud mine Bitcoin from Counterwallet? Do you want to trade GIGAHASH a-la CEX.IO? I've sourced more GIGAHASH and they are now available for purchase on the DEX for BTC and XCP! More information in this thread: https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,249.0.htmlHappy mining!

Someone who has never mined. 1 GIGAHASH that you buy represents 1 GH/s of real Bitcoin mining hardware. When you cloud mine by owning GIGAHASH, you save all the hassle of running the hardware: noise, maintenance etc. That hardware is mining in two mining pools. When we are paid BTC by the mining pools, we distribute those BTC respectively across all GIGAHASH owners.

Yes, that's how you can place an order on the DEX with Counterwallet. Bitcoin Betting Kicks Brazil World-cuphttp://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-betting-kicks-brazil-world-cup/Peer-to-peer betting
If trusting centralised betting platforms sets the alarm bells ringing, then why not try a decentralised, peer-to-peer option?
To do so, you need a Counterwallet, which is an account, of sorts, used to settle transactions on Counterparty, a peer-to-peer marketplace. Then, with Counterwallet in hand, go to Xbet.io to browse available bets.
The World Cup features prominently, but bets on the NBA finals and various football leagues are also available.
Grab the address line of the bet you want to make and punch it into your Counterwallet where you’ll be able to make the bet. Unusually, you’ll be betting against another user, not the house, so funds are held in escrow until the bet is over.

Hey bitcoinrocks, If you can point me towards something that you have contributed to the Counterparty project (time, money, suggestions, something else? (via PM)) other than your initial investment, I can send you the information. Otherwise, you'll have to contact Joel or wait until the 17th.

Is there anybody here? When I use counterwallet, it's said:
No counterparty servers are currently available. Please try again later. ERROR: JSON-RPC Error: Type: Server error
Code: -32000
Message: Could not contact insight!
By the way, coud the system administrator use some tools like nagios to monitor the server status. Once there is some error, the tools can send email or sms to admin.
It's very bad to show such error info!
