Would you be able to run a full node? The network doesn't have many and it would really help. Kind Regards, -Chicago

Hi kbroadfoot, My rig was offline for probably 24 - 36 hours while switching some mining software around here -- I told you we need another full node on the network. Go ahead and sync now, you'll find the blockchain, but PLEASE setup a full node so that you can help grow the network. Kind Regards, -Chicago

How do I set up a full node? Happy to help, I suppose Hi devvienuis, Basically, you just need to add in a listen=1 into your configuration file. Once you've done that, you need to have your router port forward TCP port 40021 to your workstation running the Noodlyappendagecoin software. People do this a couple of ways. Some people give their workstation a static IP on their internal network and then setup port forwarding after configuring the workstation. Other people configure the router to do a DHCP reservation so that the workstation always gets the same IP address on the network -- so that when you port forward to the specified IP address, you'll always be able to reach the Noodlyappendagecoin software. Let me know if I can help with your configuration and once you have it online, I should be able to verify for you that indeed the node is reachable externally. Kind Regards, -Chicago

Only the love and devotion of your one and true savior should motivate you!! Thin and weak, you are obviously a closet white-saucer, devoid of that hint of garlic that is the proof of divinity! But if you mine, and mine well my son... I shall speak to you of zesty after-burn. Harken to your purpose! One day, if I prove myself worthy... I may have "with sausage".

Beautiful! My heart soared. And lo, out of the mist there came a noodly appendage. It reached out and slapped my face, covering it in divine starchy grace. And lo, it stuck! I am truly sated and have taken the difficulty from 0.00277701 to 0.00908015. My soul is as full as my belly and I must rest.

Well... NDL lives.... is there a block explorer?
Possibly, I could put one up for us if there is a need for it. I usually will run an instance of Abe when I need a block explorer and have used Abe for Noodlyappendagecoin without issue in the past.

It seems to me, with 'only' 13+ billion total coins, this coin has possibilities.. LiteDoge is supposed have 50 billion eventually, and is staking at the rate of 30,000 per block.... Besides it's 'sillyness' There really isn't a whole lot wrong with this coin... with a block explorer we may be able to get comcort to list it again... Would be cool if we could get FSM Ordained Minister certs for NDL...

i could run a full node, where do i find the most recent source of ndldeamon ? any weird configuration sequence/dance i need to do, or will a simple Make do the right thing? i should have various dependency libs already installed from compiling another coin's wallet.
and for mining, without a pool, do i just point my tiny little 1.4mh 'fury' scrypt miner at the ndldeamon i'm running?
i could host a temporary website/webpage of ndl 'resources' at my personal domain too.
is there a generic/free block explorer source code i could compile, configure, and run on my linux?

(edited for readability) Where do I find the most recent source of noodlyappendagecoind?
Hi DNP, The sources are on Github. I've been using them without issues since first looking at NDL. https://github.com/His-Holy-Noodliness/noodlyappendagecoinAny weird configuration sequence/dance I need to do, or will a simple ' make ' do the right thing?
My ebuild for Noodlyappendagecoin does the traditional Simon says without any special magic rain dance. And for mining without a pool, do I just point my tiny little 1.4MH/s Fury Scrypt miner at the noodlyappendagecoind I'm running locally?
Yes, you simply point your Fury to the RPC port of your local instance with the given and configured username/password from the .conf file. I could host a temporary website/webpage of NDL 'resources' at my personal domain too. Is there a generic/free block explorer source code I could compile, configure and run on my Linux?
Yes, the Abe Block Explorer is free and runs on Linux. I have used it with much success in the past specifically with Noodlyappendagecoin. If you're interested in getting Abe setup and have some questions just send me a PM with your progress and I will give you some help with it. https://github.com/bitcoin-abe/bitcoin-abeKind Regards, -Chicago

okay, i have one running addnode=dognose.com use domain names rather than ip#s since, even though my ip#s are fairly stable, they are not true static ip#s and do occasionally change. simple NDL resource webpage at http://dognose.com/ndlmy linux wallet and my private windows32 wallet use each other as nodes, but of course neither of them has found any external nodes yet i still have my blockchain data from when i stopped about 48 weeks ago. i suggest the following in the noodlyappendagecoin.conf file: server=1 daemon=1 addnode=dognose.com # dognose's daemon1 up 24/7 addnode=dognose.ca # dognose's win32 QT wallet up when at home addnose=dognose.com:60021 # dognose's daemon2 up 24/7i wont start mining until i have external connections, dont want to waste time on creating forks. i'm an old crusty C programmer and will 'get into' the wallet code sometime in the future when real spare time actually presents itself or urgent situations :0
