Wow, that is amazing that I was so far behind. Now if only the wallet would stop "not responding" constantly.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

We're going to need a block explorer so that YoBit can put NDL up on the exchange.
Anybody up for it?

Very nice -
Say, did you happen to add a full node there while setting up the block explorer?
I notice when my coin daemon is running I have no other { "inbound": false } connections. It makes me wonder whether or not there are actually other full nodes on the network.
It became a problem last month because we had a pretty significant orphanage. I leave my node online most all of the time now out of necessity, but we should have more support.
Anybody willing to put up a node?

I have a PI running SHA, but I just found this holy thread.... I would be willing to put up a full node, how large is the blockchain?

Hi Drew,
The blk00000.dat and blk00001.dat combined are 161M. We are up to block number 502,204.

It is strange. Because of some problems i removed the data folder and started to synchronize from block 1 on. But i still get the sign "no connections"

I'm seeing this coin for the first time here.
Did you put these two addnodes in the conf file? addnode=54.200.35.130 addnode=72.46.150.10
This coins seems me to a very old coin, you haven't updated the exchange information. It still lists cryptorush.in. I think the dev didn't update the thread for a long time. Where is this coin being traded now? What are the attracting features of the coin?

Hello, You will probably want to compile Noodlyappendagecoin from the sources at https://github.com/His-Holy-Noodliness/noodlyappendagecoin But, if that's not an option then lets see if I can find you the originally provided binaries from the release. I have hosted them for you here. (at some point, I'll try another file sharing service which has direct links for free -- anybody have a recommendation?) These files were grabbed from archive.org using the links in the original post. Linux 64-bit binaries: noodlyappendagecoin_linux_x64.tar.gz Linux sources: noodlyappendagecoin_src.tar.gz Mac OS X Wallet: noodlyappendagecoin-qt.dmg Windows Wallet Installer: noodlyappendagecoinsetup.exe Windows Wallet ZIP: noodlyappendagecoinwallet.zip You will definitely be able to solo CPU mine this coin. The difficulty right now is at 0.00035598. We're coming up on a subsidy halving soon. The original developer is missing in action and the next update will come from within the community. Here are some valid addnode entries for you. addnode=24.246.28.36 addnode=73.211.26.15 Good luck with the installation and if you do have the opportunity to compile from source at some point in the future instead of using the provided binaries, there will be a few benefits like having an updated SSL version which is nice. If there is anything else I can help you with just let me know. Kind Regards, -Chicago

A better explorer with richlist and whatnot is available at http://52.10.241.130/. If someone has a suitable domain available – feel free to add a DNS pointer.

In time I am looking to rebase the Noodly Appendage Coin code with Litecoin at https://github.com/noodlyappendagecoin-projectIf you have experience with this, specifically in git-merge where there are no common commits, please send me a PM. (the original Noodlyappendagecoin code did not preserve commit history from upstream) Kind Regards, -Chicago

You're up to your noodle in red sauce. I'm glad you are having fun with the chain too. Earlier this year I was looking around for the original entries and submissions to the logo contest so the artwork could be integrated into a wallet update. I do a little bit of scratching my head over here with the Gitian builds on OS X / Windows and Linux and put some time in progressing this project since His-Holy-Noodliness hasn't been active in the project any longer. Want to buddy up with me as a "major stakeholder" and help test new wallets over time and ensure the chain remains alive? Kind Regards, -Chicago

Sounds good to me. I can see a few other people mining / having active nodes on the chain too. So, it's not that dead. I will also say that if we get it more alive / on an exchange I have no problem burning most of these coins. -Dave
