Kernel.cpp Line 20
// Hard checkpoints of stake modifiers to ensure they are deterministic static std::map<int, unsigned int> mapStakeModifierCheckpoints = boost::assign::map_list_of ( 0, 0x0e00670bu ) ( 124000, 0xe791f02cu ) ;
It looks like block 124000 is looking for 0xa4251ce5b54ee576 but got 0xe791f02cu in checkpoints array.
I was also looking into this ... My understanding is that the second checkpoint (124000) should not be set at all yet. It was most probably in the coin MRC was cloned from, because this coin already went over block 124000. But the value is probably valid for this coin blockchain, not for MRC. Anyone can confirm ? EDIT1: anyway, it clearly is not required also because proof-of-stake is not enabled yet in MRC ... it should kick in only after one full year (60*60*24*365 seconds, as stated in main.cpp) EDIT2: the 124000 value does not come from the PPC code (they have other checkpoints for the proof of stake, but not this one). From which coin was MRC cloned ? This value most probably comes from that ancestor. MRC comes from TIX. We have found the proof-of-stake checkpoint and removed it. We now face the problem of testing if the problem is fixed or not. This should create a hardfork, but fortunately the fork the older client is on should never be able to go past block 123,999. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are considering putting the wallet for download and getting pools to use it and see if it works. Put it up for download. Launch 2.0!

So is there an ETA on this? It's 2:30 am and I need to get some sleep, but don't want to miss a giant goldrush when the servers come back online. Maybe you should set the block rewards to 0 for a few hundred blocks, just to get everyone time to get back on?

There wont be a gold rush because the diff retargets every block so it could jump from 0 to 4 if all the miners return anyway.

I think the idea is that not all miners will return at once, so there will be a period of low difficulty to start with. Hopefully it will come back online while I'm still awake to make up for the 6 hours spent sleeping and mining nothing last night.

There wont be a gold rush because the diff retargets every block so it could jump from 0 to 4 if all the miners return anyway. But they won't return right away is the point. The hashrate will be 1/10 of what it's been lately because people will not know yet that they can return to the coin. Massive payouts can generally be expected for the next several hours after it comes back online.

yes dumping has commenced, I have no coins on the exchange all are in my wallet so I cant sell. yet you can buy some more lol im actually waiting for ltc to crash on btc-e so I could use it to buy more MRC, only problem is the price of MRC has risen much more then ltc has fallen so im back at point A lol. I was thinking of spending 50ltc for 50Mil MRC just a few days ago but didn't pull the trigger due to increasing block rewards, but I wish I had bought up until this lil prob we're having tonight

What you should do, is to fix the PoS and the checkpoint both, and set the 124000 for a random value (and dont tell it before the release).
Thats important, because if you only fix that hardcoded checkpoint, someone can stream out his alone mined version of blockchain, in case if he built his own client before.
