I know that feeling. And I would feel terrible if I had bought in with 3 BTC at that price and watch it all go down. But I recommend not selling. You might have to wait a while though, but 3 BTC is a lot. This coin isn't a pre-mine or a scam such as Quark, which has gone down and never recovered. Unlike that coin, only 1 Coin out of 42 has been mined as of today. Value will eventually go up. Consider it an investment at this point. BTC will eventually go up too, by the way. So even if 42Coin goes back to 1000 42/BTC you should still make a return on your BTC once you go back into it.

A few possible explanations:
1: The DOGE gold rush sucked in every liquid BTC on every exchanges.
2: Too fast difficulty re-target will prove to be more lethal than the too slow version. (This seems to be very possible for me.)
3: Hendo got hasty and tries to sell the whole pre-mine amount asap to buy DOGE

May be all of these things and more...

Made some BTC with Doge, Earth and Lottocoin took out half after dubbeling and put that in even more 42 
Never sold a dent from the start this is really something you have to be patient with.
This year the asics will also come for scrypt but most of the 42 will be mined by then, that really keeps this a people coin more then a big corporation mining the biggest percentage.
If I could take a pill that would make me sleep for a year I would have one. Sleep and wake up a rich man.

Have to second what most people are saying, just hold.  I have little doubt 42 will bounce back to the 500BTC range within the month. 
Currently holding .001 Forty-Two which I bought at around 430BTC.
