Mine are staking almost every week so, nothing wrong there.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

coins aren't staking? 10 days for the first 78 coins I deposited. The wallet isn't encrypted. My version is v0.5.0.0-g32a928e-cach-wm-alpha. Is the wallet broken? If anyone can give me some advice please do.
perhaps, you should use Version 0.5.0.2 from the op for me, it works fine with my encrypted wallet... just unlocked it and get staked coins for several weeks

It'll help if you could give the transaction IDs of those coins

Does the wallet have to be open to mint coins or do I just have to stake the coins to have it mint them? If I've already had these coins in an open wallet for 7 days (V. 5.0.0) do I have to restake them (in wallet 5.0.2) even if they never staked in the old wallet?. oldest credited transaction Transaction ID: 9b5d7eb800db5eaeca8dabd216a91b8ec3e39795f369849f2ca18f06b7584c8a these coins should stake tonight Transaction ID: 65828da0163d977aa04a061eaf80344fdcac3c4842af58ed03614cc9b8bbb69d These coins should stake tomorrow Transaction ID: 7e560c46c733c0b4705672f1e8e4f2ef540e54173f1dde25f423176f27eec108

Please read the first post. you don't need to do anything if your wallet is not encrypted. PoS blocks are nenerated automatically by default oldest credited transaction Transaction ID: 9b5d7eb800db5eaeca8dabd216a91b8ec3e39795f369849f2ca18f06b7584c8a A transaction of similar amount, took about 28 days for me these coins should stake tonight Transaction ID: 65828da0163d977aa04a061eaf80344fdcac3c4842af58ed03614cc9b8bbb69d These coins should stake tomorrow Transaction ID: 7e560c46c733c0b4705672f1e8e4f2ef540e54173f1dde25f423176f27eec108 There's no "Should Stake". PoS block are generated by luck. just like PoW blocks are. To increase your chances, you need to keep the wallet open more. The last transaction is ~4 coins. That will surely be at least 30 days

How 2 unlock it?
it´s quite simple... from the OP "to unlock your wallet, enter this command in the CACHeCoin QT wallet client debug console located under help menu: walletpassphrase thisismypassphrase 99999999 true Replace "thisismypassphrase" with your encrypted wallet passphrase. This will unlock your CACHe wallet for staking for 1157 days (99999999 seconds = 1157 days). Upon restarting your client you will need to re-enter this command, as it is not saved."

Heads up. If you followed all available instructions (wallet open, wallet unlocked, waited for weeks) and get no coins via stake you might have "too small" transactions on your account. Maybe you have a very low payout threshold or mining with low hashrate on p2pool, this will result in a lot of dust which "can" stake but due to the small amount the chance is very low.
Solution. Create a new address and send all your coins in one transaction to the new address. Start again (wallet open, wallet unlocked, wait for weeks).

Yes. That is in progress, but lack of time on my side is the barrier

The update should actually increase the chances of staking but for now update at your own risk. Backup the wallet! And you'll need to resync

recent changes from the master branch merged into testing (preparing to make a new release [not mandatory]). Anyone else had problems, apart from needing to resync? Resync is required due to the change in the way blocks are saved and read from the blockchain.
