Is it the miners job to troubleshoot their shoddy wallets??

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

There are some more nodes you can add to the smatcoin .conf file located in the smartcoin-win32 folder you originally downloaded.  Edit it and delete all the text. Replace it with the following:

daemon=1
rpcport=58583
rpcuser=usernamehere
rpcpassword=rpcpasswordhere
addnode=smartcoin.cryptotycoons.com
addnode=seed.getsmartcoin.com
addnode=seed1.getsmartcoin.com
addnode=seed2.getsmartcoin.com
addnode=smc.smartmining.net
addnode=smc.poolerino.com
addnode=smc.miningwith.us
addnode=smc.hash.so
addnode=smc.bitember.com
addnode=smc.updamoon.com
addnode=smc.nicemining.pw
addnode=smc.bitcrush.info
addnode=smc.greekpool.eu
addnode=smc.cryptopools.com
addnode=95.85.48.143
addnode=46.4.147.19
addnode=176.9.189.114
addnode=107.170.23.206
addnode=23.239.64.28
addnode=198.199.106.114
addnode=46.4.32.195
addnode=74.120.220.250
addnode=192.81.214.95
addnode=142.4.205.132
addnode=198.41.186.208
addnode=108.162.197.112
addnode=141.101.116.174
addnode=78.46.85.229
addnode=141.101.117.122

Save the file and then copy the file itself. Next, go to the windows button and in the search bar type "%appdata%" without quotations. You should see a Roaming folder and inside that you should find your smartcoin folder. Paste the copied .conf file into the smartcoin folder and then restart the wallet. This should add more connections and should allow those of you who can't connect to connect and those of you with poor connections to have a better connection. Keep in mind not all of these nodes are active but a populated list, from what I understand, will give more opportunities to find a running node. Hope this helps.

Those IPs are the IPs that host the nodes with domains. It's pointless to have them twice. The correct config is in the OP.

..thanks..my wallet just synced with one bar..but at least its connected...I copied your information...but I don't want to risk changing the files unless I have to...my friend lost all his coins trying that...so..I'm cautious..won't do it until I have to..at this point thinking of having a cloud wallet and sending them there if mine stays synced long enough...

Just make sure to have a copy of your wallet(s) somewhere, perhaps another computer and/or an usb stick.

Did you guys received the giveaway email?

Yes I did. Be patient and I'm sure you'll get your soon. It's a lot of work for the devs to generate 1500 private keys, credit them all 45 smc, and email them out to all 1500 people. Patience is key here. Smiley

no email here Sad Sad

please help me !

Your wallet.dat file can be copied to a thumb drive/desktop/storage device and can then be reimported into the same smartcoin-qt program or if you were to uninstall and re-download the qt, you could just drag and drop the wallet.dat file into the SmartCoin program folder, replacing the one that is generated with a clean install. This way your coins can be safe!

A suggestion to devs if I may.

Another forum category for the sole purpose of spam placement.
Any spam outside that folder will get an ip ban.
Better still, their skull crushed by an elephant.
