should be interesting to see what the launch of the store does to the value of the coin.

To be perfectly honest I'm concerned considering the massive lull/downside of crypto at the moment thanks to the drama we're all aware of. Either way, it will be released. All I'm hoping is that even with a quiet exchange or no massive upswing people will still recognise that it's a strong step forward we're taking (especially comparative to other new alt-coins). Personally I think a lot of the 'get-rich quick' crowd have avoided us or already dumped, so a lot of holders know that whatever happens this is just another strong addition to the core long-term potential of NobleCoin. Cheers.

Rofo,

1st, I want to thank you for your coin and idea. I believe if you stay strong to the Noble causes, including continuing to add charities, donations and even local community involvement then there is no limit with this coin.

The value will come from the members themselves.

I'm guessing that if the coin value goes up after the store launch we will have some sort of dumping. I don't think that's something to be much worried. A lot of coins have suffered dumps and their price stabilizes sooner or later. Panic is the enemy in this "game".

I think the importance of the coin community is big, but at the end of the day, what values the coin is what everyone generally can do with it and if they trust it, It's not just us that come here to the forums and like the coin and mine it and trade it on exchanges. Cryptocurrencies are barely seeing the light of day at this time, lets hope it can really become "more" mainstream.

Charities has been a great idea of promoting this, and the store also, but the store needs to be attractive specially for the crypto outsiders because all of us here already knows how it works.

At least Noble is in the news for good reasons (http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/02/10/worldcoin-price-crash-problem-african-well-project/) not sure if someone already posted it before.

Good work so far to the team and community.

"just my two cents"

Minor update on the Marketplace functionality roadmap:

Week 1
- Automated digital licensing and key purchase emails for all digital products – effectively bringing down delivery of all digital products and keys to <2 minutes after payment confirmed by CoinPayments.
- Table weight shipping – ability to define shipping rates by merchant/purchaser location, weight, zone/region, number of items and price.
- Further enhance and control shipping customization if necessary with ‘per product shipping’ for both merchants and admins – define shipping costs on an individual product basis rather than by region/weight.

Week 2-3
- Multi-merchant support, vendors can own, display and manage their own products and store front-end. There will be no listing or sales fees applied to these services to attract merchants and build NobleCoin’s value (besides CoinPayments 0.5% processing fee). The NobleCoin 'insurance' will be evaluated and applied on an individual basis and take into account merchant recognition and history.

Week 4
- Automated digital download capability - merchants can upload, sell and manage digital products like photos, 3D work, computer-aided designs (think 3D printers), artwork and these files can be securely and automatically offered as a download on payment confirmation.

For those who want to follow the BTC drama: some good analysis by seemingly level-headed and intelligent people from both sides. Important to read especially for this coming week.

This is FUD...

At least reverse the order of the links.

PM me if you still need market testers.

The first one is a "The Sky is falling" topic header that needs to change. You may not know it but some people only read topic headers and not content.

The second is a well written piece.

I anticipate people are selling off NobleCoin to repurchase tomorrow when the market goes live.  By doing this, they will push the price up tomorrow, and effectively make items cheaper in regards to the amount of Noble per purchase.  Sounds about right?

They'd hold less coin, giving them less buying power though?
Seems the better option would have been to hold what they have.

I'm thinking there was a bunch of talk that it would hit 500 by tomorrow, and once it was clear this is was not the case, people have started loosing interest. It'll pop back up big tomorrow though I think =)  Wish I sold at 170 when I had the chance. Placed the order, but took it back out a few minutes later hoping it would hit 180. ugh

If noble hits cryptsy this week I think we'll see 500. Otherwise, tomorrow I think we'll hit ~200
I'll admit, the market is quite tricky right now especially with the issues regarding BTC, but I think NOBLE will remain relatively strong. Admittedly, if NOBLE hits Cryptsy, I think it'll be a bit higher than 500 especially because Cryptsy hasn't had substantial additions for a while (I think just VTC over the last two weeks).

There seems to be a ceiling for the alts that started after doge, it is becoming the main alt and for those that don't understand the simple math of amount  of reward v/s effort they base the price point in comparison. Same thing has happened with EAC.

But that's OK because the Dif will balance it all out me thinks. Smiley

Just a quick update for those of you here on bitcointalk. We're in the process of stress testing the marketplace and everything is looking good. Payments have been processed and items have been received. We are working tirelessly to provide the best possible experience for our community. The Market will be open in less than 24 hours Smiley

A personal note: During the test I was able to quickly process my transaction and received my item in less than 15 minutes! Quick and easy.

sigh ddos, i think...

i first started at validerror but shifted over to tycoons when there was a request to spread hashrate as valid in the starting days had majority of hashrate..

For the most part.. tycoons has worked well.. but its kind of been in purgatory recently... sometimes i dont know if i am getting paid correctly... so while ctenc is a pretty stand up guy i have shifted my mining back to validerror until these general issues get resolved.

I rather not vote for Cryptsy, it brings in way too many problems and the site is a real pain to use. Deposits taking 12hours before they become visible on the site, withdrawals taking even longer, the site loading so slow that you are always too late with your offer that the opportunity has passed and way too many traders who are in it for some quick money at the cost of a coins value.
