I’d just like to make a few things clear while attempting not to sound too arrogant or like a control freak.

First: Thank you for the support and interest shown so far! Smiley

1. This is a beta. We guarantee returns if a purchase doesn’t work, is delayed and hasn’t been shipped if you get in touch with us. What you need to be aware of though is that when you’re making an order you’re essentially ‘cashing’ out your coins. A digital item might take a couple of hours (at least for the first few days as we manually check off orders) and a physical item might take a few days or a week or more to reach you. The value of the coins you spent will change in that time – they might go up meaning you’re worse off, they might go down meaning you’re better off. Please be aware of this possibility when you place an order.

2. Stock will be limited, but will grow progressively in the month ahead as we figure out demand and popularity of the marketplace and certain items. The 10% discount will remain for at minimum a month and may be extended for up to three. You won’t miss out on these deals and we don’t want you to. I apologise in advance if things sell out or become unavailable for days at a time. Remember, we’re dealing with a few external merchants here who are testing the waters with demand and prices – and many are taking a risk in terms of price fluctuations but generally support NobleCoin so are happy to hold either way.

3. We will have downtime – there will be times when we disable the marketplace to install, configure and test new functionality (see our short roadmap). All orders will be processed before and/or during this downtime and you will be warned in advance of any downtime and the reasons for it.

4. We may get targeted or overloaded – we’ve been hit a number of times with massive traffic and DDOS attacks. There has also been a fair amount of interest in terms of hits and traffic in the background. We are moving to a Xeon E3-1270v3 dedicated server with impressive specs but won’t hesitate to upgrade if necessary. Please be patient if we get hiccups but we will keep people informed. If we go down for maintenance and you've decided you want to cancel an order (for whatever reasons - to hold or sell) that hasn't been shipped yet PM me.

5. I think many of you guys know how we work (or are trying to) by now: we will give constant updates when we can, answer questions and address concerns as best we can. We work meticulously and we don’t like making huge statements or rushing ahead only to find that we’re missing a solid foundation and can’t deliver. We're seeing that everywhere these days, but that's not what we want to be. This might not be a big ‘bang’ to some people on day one – but it’s a damn good start for a month old coin and I invite you to imagine what we as a community might be in another month.

6. We will be activating the store first but disabling orders to let people check it out for those who want to see it’s ‘there’ but don’t want to spend NOBL yet. It’s standard, it’s clean and simple – but the value is in the promotion, the deals and the functionality behind it. During the first day, we will first enable CoinPayments and the smaller value digital products (hello Amazon & Steam), followed by the larger value digital items and ultimately the physical products once we iron out some shipping details with the merchants.

7. Again I stress, if you’re super keen to order something (specifically the Amazon cards or Steam Wallets) and we’re sold out – send me a PM and we’ll sort something out. We’re going slow and testing the system, but the last thing I want is someone who has supported us and is excited for the marketplace to genuinely feel like they’ve been let down or missed out. I point out again though the Amazon Gift Cards & Steam Codes (being the items that have attracted the most attention) will be focused on in terms of new stock, and the 10% sales promo will last at least a month.

Thanks Smiley Expect it today!

http://noblecoin.cryptotycoons.com/index.php why this pool keep going down  Angry

sigh ddos, i think...

i first started at validerror but shifted over to tycoons when there was a request to spread hashrate as valid in the starting days had majority of hashrate..

For the most part.. tycoons has worked well.. but its kind of been in purgatory recently... sometimes i dont know if i am getting paid correctly... so while ctenc is a pretty stand up guy i have shifted my mining back to validerror until these general issues get resolved.
Same here, switched back to validerror

Pool is up now, just need to reset cronjobs. All coins and payments are safe, nothings been lost =)
I'm amazed at how often this pool gets targetted by DDOS attacks  Huh
Never had so much trouble.
Cronjobs will be reset as soon as I make it back to my server. About an hour or so.

Sold 250k at 100, kicking myself.
Do not panic you will get the chance to but them back before the price rockets, just keep an eye open on the market.

Now is probably about the best time you'll see to buy back =)

Bought em back. Now have only 163k Sad dumb dumb.
Hope you got them back around the 100 mark & did not lose anything, having patience when you make a mistake is key to playing the market, the market is down again now amazing what can happen if you wait it out, although i would suspect there will not be many more opportunities to buy noble at or around this price for to much longer.

We got a few posts there remember - I believe this is the one with the most action/votes at this point:

https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/64011

Yes this is the correct thread. Cast your votes there that way they can accumulate appropriately.
I rather not vote for Cryptsy, it brings in way too many problems and the site is a real pain to use. Deposits taking 12hours before they become visible on the site, withdrawals taking even longer, the site loading so slow that you are always too late with your offer that the opportunity has passed and way too many traders who are in it for some quick money at the cost of a coins value.

WERD!!!

I have been waiting 8 hours for some Vertcoins to go into Cryptsy. I only did it because it had a higher price compared to coinmarket, wish I hadn't now...

Have a feeling I am going to miss my chance to buy Noble with them...

that happened to me as well... it was when vtc was just launched at cryptsy.. it was around 720k at coinmarket and 780k at cryptsy... but... by the time crediting took place... it was over...

cryptsy has been having a lot of problem with deposit issues.

Have you guys tried generating a new deposit address at cryptsy? It usually leads to my next deposit going smoothly.

I miss a (n approximate) price tag in NOBL in the marketplace. Will it be displayed in the final version? If yes, will it be in the overview or just before the checkout?

Btw: thanks for the great work!

I think it will be visible at checkout (and only when they enable payments, that is, the coinpayments option).

I made around 4 BTC mining MaxCoin recently (as opposed to 0.4-0.5 BTC of typical scrypt mining). I took 1 BTC of that and bought more NOBLs today. Like DOGE, in it for the long. Cheesy

I have a question for Rofo or any other knowledgeable developers in the crypto community:

Does the 1 block difficulty retarget have any detriments?  I think it is the most fair and balanced system for mining difficulty, so I was wondering why don't other major cryptos do this?  Is there some sort of risk or detriment to having it retarget every block?

Answers would be greatly appreciated.  Smiley
