I just noticed that when I was checking out their site.  I started my own worker and connected fine.

So, you're connecting and not getting any payout?

No, as long as I am getting "boo" responses from minerd, the worker doesn't even register. My other machine is working just fine, but it is using cudaminer.

OHHHHH.  lol, sorry.  I get what you're saying now.  Try jhPrimeminer.exe  For some reason that always works for me when other miners are acting funky.

Will try it now. Should the command line look pretty much like the minerd example from earlier post?

yes

It is warning something about "getwork" protocol... is it the pool or is there a setting to fix that?

i can´t mine this but to see profibility of VTC i signud up on a pool and have a look @pool data

it says to me you can earn 7 VTC a day with 1MH

If thats real we´ll see a lot of dump within next days

This coin is crippled, 1 mhash = how many regular hash on normal script coins?
My sapphire 7950 hd with boost can't seem to figure out how to mine this thing either

What the f*(&k is going on with Crypsty.. Can't withdraw a damn thing. With all that money Vern is making, he should be beefing up his god damn infrastructure.

Interesting to see that people are still having issues with Cryptsy.  They screwed a lot of us over yesterday.  Take my advice and just pull your coins from there and trade them on another exchange.

Can anyone explain why my graphics card kept failing while mining this coin, until I reduced thread concurrency?

IMPORTANT CHANGE TO MINER CONFIGURATION

As you may be aware, Vertcoin pools have been under heavy and sustained attack the last few days, with vtcpool.co.uk not
being an exception. We are now planning for the implementation of a number of anti denial of service measures to ensure the pool
stays available at all times. We are also migrating to a pair of 8-core, RAID 1 SSD equipped dedicated servers, with a no-single-point-of-failure
which will ensure the best performance and highest profitability for you - thankyou for bearing with us while we have dealt with these DDoS attacks

It is required that you reconfigure your mining software

Please repoint your miners at the following URLs now:

If you are mining at the regular vtcpool.co.uk MPOS pool:

stratum+tcp://stratum.vtcpool.co.uk:3333

If you are mining at our p2pool node

stratum+tcp://p2pool.vtcpool.co.uk:9171

If you are mining at p2pool, the website with the stats on it, which was previous at vtcpool.co.uk:9171 is now

http://p2pool.vtcpool.co.uk:9171

Nothing has changed yet, these DNS entries just point at the existing pool, but as we migrate DDoS protection will be put in place
based on separating the DNS entries for the various services, so it is important that you adjust your configuration now to ensure that you
don't suffer any downtime when the pool is moved to the new servers.

@BorisTheSpider, your website is down. I'm not going to repoint my miners until I can see the statistics. Otherwise it is a matter of trust and the best rule for that at the moment - trust nobody!

Thanks, I can get my miner to work but on super low hashrate and that is using modified cg for vertigo. Also on the litecoin comparison page, that thing never really helped my out as my sapphire raydon 7950 hd does not like any of those settings mining script coins. I either get errors, no start, or low khash, or cg disappears. Until someone who has sku 11096-19-20G Sapphire Raydon 7950 HD with boost comes along and fixes this, I am just out of luck as no other option but wait.

Also after looking around I have decided I will do any short term trading on poloniex and and slow trading on coinedup.

Reason being i get filled even with sloth servers on coinedup, and no money transfer issues on my part at either.

Inhave never traded on cryptsy and am unlikely to start. You all having issues should consider following my lead. Also swisscex is trading VTC so there are options. If cryptsy isnt working out you have plenty of option.

I remain 100% long VTC. No sales.

Mine and hold.

I have a feeling that once I go to bed, the price is going to spike again.
Me too.  I think a few more spikes are likely before we settle into a slow and steady upward trend.

This is why.  Awareness is building.  Nowhere to go but up.  However:

Big gains like we saw earlier will likely take place over longer timeframes.

I prefer coinedup.com

A little slow but other than that you can always count on them. Always doing updates on twitter.
Support is fantastic. Etc..

Oh and if you want to get it under 0.01 then the next day or two will be your last chance.
Trending upward.

A very humble prediction as it is a pretty wild market but I do not forsee .01 lasting through the night. Another test of .015 once it falls.
