Dear Verters,
I'm not worried about the current price, as I already made quite a potential profit from it (and I'm a HOLDER, this is just the beggining, or so I want to believe anyway),
But I was just wondering about the volumes. It has been close to 8 hours on Cryptsy where there is absolutely ZERO consolidation of trades, with no buy walls and no sell walls at ALL.
This really feels like only bots are trading with themselves, and this spouts this nonsense.
Could anyone more experienced please enlighten me?
Regards.
we're at #4 in tradevolume:
http://coinmarketcap.com/volume.html#vtc
-> $ 1,388,589 in 24 h!
so nothing to worry about that (^ - ^)

Still feels like bot activity, or maybe I'm too paranoid and/or inexperienced. I own quite a lot of these babies and I'm not worried long term wise though.

I was trading vtc like 3 weeks ago and that was zero activity. I ran 10 handles of orders myself just to see what would happen. ALl that happened is I carved out a 10-handle window in the bid/ask. Cost me a few bucks to find out. Volume was like 6BTC that day. Like $6 grand.

We are at $1.5 million in 24 hours, which is 1:1 outstanding coin. That is not bots baby that is deeper pockets coming to play.

Can someone build me a really simple website for BuyLocalVertcoins.com?

I gather I really don't need to explain the functionality. It doesn't have to be pretty just whatever gets it done. We lost pretty at launch. Heheh...we don't need it anymore.

Pretty's fine too but soon is better.

PS- Yahoo picked up

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/vertcoin-soaring-cryptocurrency-set-surpass-bitcoin-165058275.html#G6t7xb8

That will be good for $5 rally all by itself. What a flippin' headline you would think somebody pretty high up in the media is pushing for us or somthing.

Can someone please advise why use the modified cgminer (vertminer) as opposed to regular cgminer?

The scrypt 'N factor' for mining this coin is twice the value of the normal scrypt algorithm. Some lines of code had to be modified in cgminer to make it work with mining vertcoin.

Too dangerous, can be easily reversed.  Biggest problem with buying any coin with PayPal.

-------

BTW if anyone was looking to set up a VTC market place, That would be awesome.  I have 280x's I'm tryin to sell!

Maybe we get a site up and you can find an Aussie to do cash with. Newbie with nutcoin sig wants a paypal deal is not going to get that far with this crowd I don't think. I will only take cash deposits until site is built (and others can step in as they wish)

Edit- merkin I will trade you for Litecoin if that is all you have.
2nd Edit just looked at your thread am sure if you can work that out you can get them directly. Good luck)

Maxvolts, the 290s do about 30 kH/s more than my 7970s (280x is basically a rebranded 7970). There's a 100 euro price difference where I live, so the 290s are not worth it IMO. (I had hoped I could squeeze more out of them...)

Im getting about 480 khash with 290s.. something wrong with your settings brah

Anyone who has ported vertminer into BAMT, does your vertminer screen show your temperatures and fan ratings?

I noticed that I can't control those settings in my .conf file and I wonder if it's related. When I view the vertminer window after pressing zero in a gpumon window, I see everything except where the temperatures and fan speeds should be, it's completely blank. I think this is why the fan settings won't work for me but I don't know what has caused those stats to vanish. Anyone?

I had this problem before,
There is a folder named "ADL_SDK" in vertminer, go into it, there is a readme file, read it and do whatever it says. (U need to download ADL_SDK from AMD site and put 3file in this folder). Then you need to build again to source code. After that, vertminer can control your GPU's temperature and other stuffs.

Cannot even load cryptsy but, may need one more washout of the permasellers before we can shift the balance back to buyers.

Is anyone else shocked that the correction/consolidation today basically took us up to a high that was double the open, back down to the opening price?  All in all it was like the day never happened and there seems to be a pretty solid floor in place.  This might run up again sooner rather than later.
