Virustotal found a suspicious file https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/71d31c310efd0ed099f17c8c538e3b61835e4c1d522924b436087cab3debaf6a/analysis/

although google search shows nothing for that exact name there are plenty of issues with similar file types

In full agreement with the 'screw cryptsy'. Glad I took my VTC out of there in time.

Also I'm for a coordinated move to PoloniEx. To get some volume there. But that's only useful if most of the cryptsy users is willing to move over...

shouldnt all of this settings stuff be in the vert settings thread?
2.5 pages of multiquotes for 14kh in this thread is an awful lot...

I agree... I try to keep refering to the first page, but people don't really seem to understand how to use the info there. TBH I thought I could give 1 line hints but that got kind of out of hand.

People, use the settings thread:

Worth a shot here, start a new thread/poll:

What day should we all move from cryptsy to poloniex en masse?

Give them to to four days and specify an exact time.

See what kind of response you get. I would do it but I am on my phone and hard to move around on here.

Never set up a poll before... I'll look into that tomorrow, going to my bed now.
It's 3 AM here and the past few days have cost me far too much sleep...

But yeah, willing to give that a shot.

Hi, is normal to decrease the Hash??

With normal cgminer I have 14 Khash/s
cgminer for Vertcoin I have 4 Khash/s

With normal minerd I have 70 Khash/s
Minerd for Vertcoin I have 1 Khash/s

same config, I dont know what I am doing wrong.
Any help? I didnt know if I need a prerequisite for mine, or something =S

Gaudi, it's normal for vertminer to be slower than other scrypt-coin miners because it is a different version of scrypt.
Your hashrates are *very* low though, I doubt you'll see any coins at all.

By the way, normal = 14 kH/s in cgminer? Are you mining on onboard graphics or something?
Yes.

Windows 7 x64 Home Premium
ATI Mobile Radeon HD 5470 (500MB)
Catalyst 14.1
SDK 2.9

Still slow, no sense to me

cp: cannot stat `/home/~/vertminer-gpu/vertminer': No such file or directory

i've retried

myminer@myminer-desktop:~/vertminer-gpu$ '/home/myminer/vertminer-gpu/vertminer'
 [2014-02-07 03:06:44] Started vertminer 0.5.3
[2014-02-07 03:06:47] Need to specify at least one pool server.
 [2014-02-07 03:06:47] Pool setup failed

VTC is pretty much the only coin that hasn't been taking a nose dive the last few hours.  I would love to see it hold in this $5.25-$5.75 range for the next few days.

It wouldn't be a bad time to buy BTC with LTC.  The Brice of BTC is low as he'll right now.

You have to swap to BTC to buy VTC for now unless someone has listed the pair LTC/VTC. That would be a great spread to buy here as the most likely gap to close. Either vtc kills ltc or both higher with vtc outpacing.

As for buying btc here cheap, hard to be highly confident with btc reading because it is its own thing but from a technical analysis point of view it is really ugly. If this is a bear trap it is a convincing one. I would only buy if it recovered above 800 bitstamp price again.  If it were going to break hard this is how it look.

Someone just laid down at 55 BTC buy order on VTC. It's still there at 0.0062. So I think some serious business is happening
in the background out there.

edit - corral is formed. A whale (wolong?) is buying. Sell wall and buy wall formed to hold everyone in place to scoop.
Don't sell. Make them go up. I know you are reading this mr. whale. VTC is extra cost! Smiley

Actually, poloniex is not any better for VTC :/
I just wanted to try it out a bit, so sent some VTC there and have been waiting for it for like 30 minutes for now, eventhough it already has 8 out of 6 confirmations..
On coined up always within 5 mins.. coined up is just ferrari in terms of transaction speed (i am not talking about speed of front end obviously Cheesy )

It has had a ton of support at that 0.006+ range.  It's been pretty stable since it leveled off the other day
