Azure Vertcoin Pool - DDOS reisistant P2Pool Node

http://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171/

No registration - No minimal payout!
To connect to this P2Pool node simply point your miner at:

URL: stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171
Username: Your vertcoin address
Password: Anything
    Fast facts about P2Pool

1. P2Pool nodes are all part of one single, big, distributed pool
2. When any p2pool worker on any node finds a block, everyone on all the nodes gets paid their share
3. There is no pool wallet, and hence no payout threshold. Payments go directly to your wallet
4. The distributed nature of p2pool resists DDoS attacks

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171 -u VbNPoxNeiNg6Bj9RwjjS4GazDbKLgUqNDP -p X

Hi there!

Would be nice to see some kind of "progress report" on the several projects involving VTC.

What do you guys say? Dev's?

Hi Mega,

We're putting proper project management tools in place at the moment. We are in a transition from the kind of loose organization that had sufficed in the first weeks, to something more structured. Once we are comfortable with those tools, one of my big priorities is to start getting a regular progress update out, but right now, it would be hard to make it comprehensive enough to be meaningful, because there's a lot going on. It won't be long - I'd love to have something in place within the next couple of weeks, and I think that will happen.

In regards to multiple recent events (pandacoin, mtgox anyone?), I just wanted to let you know, although it may not mean much, that it is really, really appreciated to see competent, honest and involved devs.

Thanks to you, and to the whole team.

I went in early, and I'll leave late.

Please try adding the following nodes, either by "addnode x.x.x.x add" in the debug console, or by adding addnode=x.x.x.x lines in your vertcoin.conf

95.85.62.207
95.85.61.243
95.85.11.240
95.85.2.11

Really? Might have to hook up my own kilowatt type meter later to check my own results. Pretty cool if so, wasn't aware of this at all.

Hashtags removed.  Adjusted the color of the text some an added a little texture for effect.  I like it.  Thoughts?

Is the logo need to be changed ? The new one would be more of context.
Really great job btw !  Wink

The "new" logo does not belong on something like this. Keep using the logo thats already on this graphic for now.

As a community we need to decide on a much better logo than the "new official" one, a number of people with professional experience in design have already commented on the problems with it (including myself). Most of the discussion about that is on reddit.

What??? I understand you don't like or agree with the new official logo, but it is the new official logo and it should be used everywhere. We need to unite and stand with a unified brand that has been laid out by the official developers and maintainers: http://vertcoinforum.com/gfx/Vertcoin_styleguide_rev_01.pdf

I think all Pandacoin did was make a lot of miners aware of Vertcoin (not that many didn't already know) and were just reluctant to join the vertans. Expect difficulty to soar up.
