I want to find out if there is any progress regarding zerocoin implementation, or if even any work has started on it.
The buzz regarding the different mining requirement provided the initial boost. It now needs some progress otherwise will end up on the heap.

If you look at a few pages back, the developers decided to move in a different direction. We had a healthy debate on here and reddit about this.

Can you post the reddit link?

I remember there were funds being collected for a well. Has it been built?

Will do, im on my phone at the moment so give me until tmrw to find it.

36 BTC Buy Wall for 2966 at Poloniex (12166 VTC) Mother of Jesus Lamb Fish
All that BTC must have been where the mtgox funds went to.   I do wonder on the advantages each altcoin including vtc might have over btc or not, maybe one is the sucessor to the throne

Is it Good to join new small Pool or Some big pool. My Point is Bigger pool is finding block faster because of hash rate but pay ultimately will be same if small pool will find block or big pool. I mean when it comes to distributing shares, everyone end up with same amount as small pool or large pool.

I just opened a pool name as DAMNPOOL.com just few days back. It has everything few of biggest pools are offering. Powerful  dedicated servers, SSD drives, DDOS resistant, and for Corporate users or for students who can't mine at port 3333 (mineable at port 8080). It is created with the help of friend and will be friendly pool.

So Join DAMNPOOL.com and make it DAMN COOL

Devs have been pretty silent these last few days, hopefully working on big things Smiley

Something interesting to note, even though the price has bounced around between $1.50-$2.00
just on cryptsy alone vert still has the 5th most btc volume of the 130+ alts they trade..

1. doge 2k+ btc volume
2.litecoin 392 btc
3. mint   271 btc
4.protoshares 134 btc
5 vtc 127 btc.. so at todays rates, on cryptsy alone roughly $70,000 is changing hands in vert/day
while not as high as we'd all like to see, its still a fair amount of trading going on

next closest is quark at 100 btc
and maxcoin at 92

after those it goes down significantly, into the 60's and below for the "lesser" coins

Yes sorry for my lack of activity round here the last couple of days, there's still a lot going on behind the scenes (which is actually why I haven't been around so much here) - we'll be opening up a public project-management board soon so everyone can see what we're working on easily.

Volumes look pretty healthy - what with the MtGox disaster, this is a good time to be mining - the volatility in cryptos is pretty nice when you have a longer-term view of the value of what you are mining.

In addition to volume, I think it is also very important to look at liquidity.  This is going to be based on the number of exchanges that trade VTC, the number of currencies that can be traded for VTC, and the total book orders.  Taking this into account I think VTC should easily be in the top 10 in terms of total market cap in very short order.

Hey guys,

I'm actually looking to get a few logos made for a little business I'm running.  I'm really not to sure of the process of asking someone to make me a logo if they provide watermarked samples before the finished product or whatnot but I'm willing to pay 40 VTC for a professional job and 10+ variations for multiple purposes.  If anyone is interested feel free to PM me.

What will happen when the funding limit is not reached?
Will someone from the dev team go to the convention in any case and just pay the rest by himself or will the coins be given back?
