Naturally the best time to sell is ALWAYS when the coins price goes above your initial buy price if things go off script and price is going down too fast,then a stop loss of a certain percentage of your buy needs to be applied.

Altcoins are always very dangerous to deal with. And in their overwhelming majority, they only fall in price. But if you wait for the moment when they begin their growth, then you can earn very well and make a profit.

Market conditions that are difficult to guess as of now certainly make us have to be smart to look for strategies to continue to make a profit, if our goal is short-term then buying a new listed coin/token is my way to get profit.

It is difficult to give an exact time when altcoin prices rise in this market.  Almost BTC accounts for more than half of the market, which has dampened the growth of altcoins.  What we need is to hope and wait for the good news from the school.

Basically selling an altcoin is much different than shorting one. Sure you can get super rich shorting alts since when they are spiking like crazy in some alt bubble you know you can gain something like 80% or so within the next few months.

However keep in mind that I personally know many people who went bankrupt shorting altcoins during a bubble. One example is of a trader who on Reddit went into a very small leverage short on DASH back in 2017 when it hit $100 or so. He never added to the position he only added BTC for maintaince margin.

He didn't use a stop because he was sure it would go down and most likely when it hit $1600, his entire bitcoin balance was liquidated to cover his short. And then right after it started to go down and now its still under $100.

Usually a person before making a sale first they already know when to invest or when to get out of the investment, as is the case now where people who should hold do not sell but keep going down because they already have other predictions

Once you see that you already got profit for me that is the time you need to sell , don't wait for more increase because sometimes when you wait the price will go down ,so as long as you see that you get profit sell your coin than lose your money because of waiting for another pump .

Commonly after listing on exchange we rapidly sell our altcoins but not all the time that is the best time to trade are coins just think and observe the flow of trading. Trading has an strategy but the common problem of other are the bounty distribution it affect the first few days of trading.

What if you have some altcoins, what will be your strategy to use that coins? Is there any specific best time for every altcoin and when it is going well and we should sell ?? 

How I see it: at the end of the year or after I make profit on my initial investment.
But, of course, some alts are good to hold in long term.

Follow the market closely. BTC must be in your radar. Always BTC will decide the entire crypto is bullish or bearish. At bullish market you can track the uptrend and use trailing get profit. Also it is better sell your coin partially. At one point you can sell  all your main amount and go on with your profit only.
At bearish market, it is better to use trailing stop loss. After determine your stop loss, you can increase the SL according to the price increase of the coin.
With this strategy you can get profit all the time in a bullish market and minimize your losses at bearish market.

Exactly. It's too difficult to really tell as there are many variables to consider especially the condition of purchase which maybe at flash dip, IEO/ICO stage, immediately after listing and so on. But most importantly I never cease to sell when I get comfortable enough and in profit. I detest greed

Best tiem to sell altcoins was at time when you posted this post. That was few montsh after Bitcoins ATH so few months after was best time to sell Bitcoin. Mayke sure to not mis sthat chance in 2022.

True, very few people recognize that the best time to get in and out of the market only appears once in a while, the best opportunity to sell your altcoins was more than a year ago, if anything what we are seeing now is a great opportunity to buy some cheap altcoins since the bitcoin dominance is so high and almost no one cares about the coins that are not very known already, and while this will be a risky investment if you select the right coin you could obtain profits that many people can only dream of having.

The best time to sell alts? It depends if you are selling for BTC or for fiat.

1) In a bear market, sell for fiat or a stablecoin, and the best time to do this is generally just before the price peak. If you sell right at the peak you run the risk of being too late and selling once a price crash has started.

2) In a stable or bull market, sell when the price vs BTC looks high against historic levels.

#2 is easier than #1 of course - it is very hard to predict exactly when a price crash vs fiat will start, which is why it is better to sell early rather than sell late.

For selling shitcoins it will be wise to sell at resistance instead of waiting the end of the year. Also using stop loss and sell for loss at these market conditions can reduced your overall loss.
For long term, totally agree with you, need to keep them strongly, but must chose strong projects. ETH, BNB, LINK and TOMO can be good examples

It really depends on the coin. If it's one that has a lot of FOMO but not much of a long term value I sell it as quickly as possible, even if the profit is small.

But the ones I think have a nice future (e.g. BAT) I hodl them, selling only small chunks of them after a good pump, only to rebuy more later. Thanks to the latter practise, my alt coin portfolio hasn't suffered much (in $ value) during this never-ending bear market. Hopefully the tables will soon turn :/

If you cannot sell them for higher prices suddenly the prices of the coin will drop that's why we need to be very active in the market.

In my opinion the right time to sell alt is when the market price rises, or is higher than the price we first invested, or if the alt price in the market goes down then we have to see developments, are there any signs of rising or even falling again, if  we are sure, it will go down, then we should sell the alt, to minimize greater losses, if alt we can through the ICO program we must always monitor developments, and when tokens are listed on the stock exchange then that's the right time to sell tokens  that.

It's very important to be active in the market every day because prices will continue to experience changes that you would not expect. Every second will get a new price that you might not be able to guess correctly.

By the way, there are a lot of apps that can show us price of altcoins. Maybe not all but, it can be alarm when price that we expected reached. So we wouldn't miss any pump or dump if reach price that we are set. Maybe it can really help for people who can't really always online to see market.

For me, the best time to sell altcoin is when it's the price is too high. The only altcoin that I have been holding are ethereum, ripple and binance coin. Those altcoins have great volume in the market that's why it is good to hold. My strategy on my altcoin is I will hold it until I have seen again the bull market. Maybe at the right time I will sell those altcoins but for now, I will hold it and I have a plan to buy more ethereum and binance coin.
