Ok I made a simple comparison. Go to google and type DASH. Then do it again and type Darkcoin. You will see what is the difference.
Evan you're a genius coder but a disaster in marketing.

Always sorry to see someone go. Of the may be 2000 or so people that own dark/dash I am expecting close to 50% to jump. Attrition. It's my hope now that instead of being counter culture... We are providing real world solutions for everyday culture... With 100 of thousands of DASH holders. I'm agree with rebranding, but changing Darkcoin to DASH is the most stupid idea I ever think about. |

If people are really interested and they should google 'dash' they would also try 'dash currency' (or similar). The latter has close to none relevant hits in google. So we should be fine. |

Of all the reasons I can think of for dumping your holdings, that's probably one of the more ludicrous. He would have been a "disaster in marketing" if he'd stayed with a name that's synonymous with being stuck in a dark corner. I've spent the last 10 years writing eCommerce systems for highly competitive businesses where they are precious as hell about their SEO. Google has changed its trawling algos beyond recognition in the last few years. Just because you've got a year's worth of 'clicks' to your credit doesn't mean you can't be dropped in an instant or - conversely - that you can't capitalise on rankings that you've earned to date. What the marketing team need to do is carefully use 301's to redirect the crawlers to the new domains. Not to ruin what appears to be a good surprise, but pretty sure there's more to that order hidden above that amount. Anything that has been sold into that has kept the amount of the buy pegged at 5630. Only Otoh knows how much of that order is hidden. EDIT: Yep, another 630 thrown at it and hasn't budged. EDIT2: lol, 2400 thrown, same buy wall. |
