Thinking to buy more hmm
A simple statement can drive up to 0.012or 0.013 again
Dark/Dash has been going up since 17 August 2014. It will retrace, go up, retrace, panic sell, panic buy. In the end it will just slowly go up. Until more people find out Dash is the real contender to Bitcoin, then.....

A very well thought out post, but this is wrong. If in fact DRK had been adopted as the anonymous king then it would have failed miserably as soon as the Gov wanted it to and it would have become worthless in one fell swoop. The Dev did the only thing he could and rebranded. He is not stupid, he did this to save the coin and the hard work. Mixing will NEVER be safe, try to get that through your head.
A well thought out post on your part as well (it's designed to appeal to the uninformed masses to your own financial advantage), but it's also wrong.

Anyone else notice strange behaviour with the latest Darkcoin client daemon.
On one service I run the response time for 'darkcoind getinfo', for example, is around 30 - 35 seconds (dedicated server with 32GB ram).
All other coins on the same server have response times of sub 1 second.
Also the client regularly seems to get stuck on blocks behind the main chain. For example the client is now stuck on 235905 where as the main explorer is showing the current block as 235924.
"version" : 110125, "protocolversion" : 70066, "walletversion" : 60000,
- pls upgrade to walletversion 61000 with Commandline option -upgradewallet (make a backup first !) - pls check in your debug.log for any of these errors ''ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk :'' if you find such error then delete everything except your wallet.dat and darkcoin.conf to rebuild your blockchain.

Much better and quicker to use the bootstrap than rebuilding the blockhain! https://github.com/UdjinM6/darkcoin-bootstrap

i tried the ignore button on AdamWhite just to get a sense of the feeling it would provide and i gotta say guys its like drinking your first coffee on a monday morning after having done some heavy drinking in the weekend before. The only thing i struggled with was perhaps missing out on his intelligent, witty and entertaining posts after hitting the ignore button once and for all

Added: Also it was not designed that way, when the mixing was first started on, BTC was trying to go that route for anonymity and naturally Evan just decided to build it into his coin. Completely natural progression.

you people seem intent on ignoring it
..."ignoring" as in it's been the devs's headline blog entry for nearly a year ? ..."ignoring" like as in top hit on google for "birth of Darkcoin" ? ..."ignoring " as in giving it pride of place in Darkcoin's own FAQ's ? You've just arrived about a year late to the party and started bouncing off the walls like an over excited hamster thinking your some kind of Columbo.

If in fact DRK had been adopted as the anonymous king then it would have failed miserably as soon as the Gov wanted it to and it would have become worthless in one fell swoop
I don't agree with this point of view at all. Mixing is a far more optimal approach for a cryptocurrency to take right now. I for one am in this coin BECAUSE of the anonymity approach, not in spite of it. I think that once you've got a reliable, practical approach to anonymity, other priorities become far more important than trying to achieve a theoretical level of invulnerability. The reasons I think that are threefold: [1] - if an adversary with limitless resources wanted to usurp your currency, there are far more exposed "flanks' to attack than de-anonymising the odd transaction [2] - the mixing approach has the option of multiple redundancy built into it. i.e. you can send it through multiple rounds. Add to that the fact that successive wallets are continuously anonymising the money supply and this blows away any theoretical comparison between "cryptography" and "mixing" at the level of a single transaction. Holistically, the approach we have is far more optimal IMO [3] - the price you pay for a theoretical level of security is far too high and will simply kill the coin. Also, it can never be demonstrated as being more reliable anyway since both approaches are unbreakable to any significant extent at a practical level
