Oh my gosh. If we were pack hunting, like the Trolleros, someone would post this on coinmarketcap and say - hey, the Scam mined Monero 'dev' admitted that Monero code was deliberately deoptimised causing an instamine / premine that scammed legitimate miners out of 1m coins.

If I were making shit up like you I would say Evan instamined 20 million coins and they are secretly hidden.

Repeat after me. There was no Monero instamine whatsoever.

The optimized miners are "unfair" argument is bullshit. Every single coin has optimized miners, and Dash is probably worse than most.

Smooth speaks the truth?

-snip-
I don't agree that a few percent of the coins mined by someone who optimized the miner is  "significantly" instamined or premined. If we restrict it to the period before the obviously deliberate de-optimization was remove then it is probably 1% or less.

Yes, I guess you are right. But wait, maybe its more than that.

....
If you want to express the effect of the deliberately de-optimized miner in terms of the current supply of monero it would be around 2.5x (roughly 1/2.5 of the nominal total coin supply currently exists), so probably <2.5%.

If you want to express the effect of some people optimizing miners better than others, that might be as much as 12.5% or more if you consider that it goes on forever (for every coin, nothing special about Monero).

Monero scam launch code doesn't equal instamine, apparently. So 1m instamined Monero coins is ok. No scams in Monero launch  Undecided

Hypocrisy needs to be added to the Trollero 'dev' cv.

Oh my gosh. If we were pack hunting, like the Trolleros, someone would post this on coinmarketcap and say - hey, the Scam mined Monero 'dev' admitted that Monero code was deliberately deoptimised causing an instamine / premine that scammed legitimate miners out of 1m coins.

As Monero is so 'anon', these coins are probably hidden from everyone waiting to be dumped on all the suckers monero trolls can sucker into their big fat scam fest.

And what's even worse... I don't see their developers asking their community if they would wish to burn or relaunch their coin.   Hummmmmm funny now the kettle calling the tea pot black.

That means it was a scam.

Write out your lines for lying, 1m times:

Like this?

That is the classical way  Wink

Soo smooth and cAPSLOCK it's my undertanding that you didn't mine XCOIN/DRK/DASH in the first days, is this correct?
Did you mine Bitcoin in the first day or two?

No I didn't happen to be there in the first 1-8 hours to get most of the coins after Evan said it wouldn't launch for a few days and then launched it with two hours notice.

As far as Bitcoin, I was able to show up a couple of years later and coins were being mined (including by me) at the very same rate as the very beginning, and then, a couple of years after that, I bought some ASICs in 2013 and mined some more, though by then the rate of mining had dropped in half (still much higher than Dash after a couple of days, relatively speaking). Which you can still do today if you like. At the very same rate as two years ago. So, no, I have no complaints about Bitcoin's mining schedule being exceptionally fast at all.

Pay attention now.

Which we (meaning NoodleDoodle to give proper credit) removed when we found out about it. If you have a complaint you will have to take it up with thankful_for_today. Other than that, your ranting is misplaced, in addition to being off-topic for the Dash thread and not a relevant response to any discussion of the Dash instamine. "But...but...but...Monero" = illogical nonsense.

Smooth brings facts and a rational argument to the table and you guys hit back with Ad hominem?

He doesn't want an answer, there's only one goal for him: throwing mud on Dash, making polls, threads and talk ad nauseam (I know some latin too) about a non-issue discussed long ago. It's easier to write a post than some lines of code ...

Yeah, I'm one of the core devs. Couldn't give a shit about the scam mine.  Let me lie about it.

It was scam mined. You said so. I worked it out at around 1m coins from the percentages you gave. I had no idea it was a bigger scam than it obviously was.

Ignorance is no defense in these matters. You and your trolleros make that perfectly clear.

Monero was scam mined for around 1m coins - say the core 'devs'.

No further discussion needed.

You are misquoting, likely deliberately. What I said was

Quote

That has nothing to do with the deliberate de-optimization, which was cleaned up well before 1 million coins was even mined in total. It's just the fact that people optimize miners. Every single one, including (especially!) X11.

Stop reaching for any random off topic crap you can come up with to obfuscate the Dash instamine. It's pathetic.

Its ok. We are keeping them entertained because they clearly have nothing better to do than go pack hunting; plus they are bumping our thread.

Besides, they just 'dev' other projects code - you know, "why reinvent the wheel?"

Seriously guys? WTF?

Smooth: Get a life, bro! How many times are you going to type the word "instamine"? We get it, the launch of Dash was not perfect. Go outside, or do some real development for your coin. Lead by example. Your constant posts on this thread are not going to make one iota of difference as we have people such as myself who ARE going outside, brokering deals for real-world acceptance, and expanding the Dash community by the day. In all honesty, you embarrass yourself here. No one of any importance could care less about BCT, you must realize this.

My Dash friends: Keep up the good fight, but what I said applies to you as well. Don't let the goings on here get you down too much, a lot is going on behind the scenes to further Dash. At the end of the day, it's not worth it to waste the keystrokes to engage these losers.

Got to go again,

Tao

I have a suggestion for you. Rip out all the code in Dash that came from a another coin. See what's left.

I've never mined dash.  Mined very little bitcoin, and mined very little XMR (though I found ONE block whee ~15 XMR).  I just don't mine much.  I have not mined any coin near its beginning at all.  I am more of a trader/investor.

shit. Did I really admit to the scam mine? What was I thinking. Now we have nowhere to hide. How can we police the thread and pull in suckers into the scam mine?

Let me just point you back to the very words you said about a deliberate scam mine and the amount of coins involved. If its not 1m, then its not far off.

No misquoting needed.

Your words. No one else said it, dear 'dev' - its all on you.

Monero was scam mined ??

Something less than 1% was likely mined at lower than usual cost due to some dodgy mining code that came from the previous developer before the current team got involved. So negligible basically. The rest of what coins101 is spouting is a bunch of deliberate misquoting and misinterpretation. I don't know why he or anyone else is so obsessed with discussing Monero on the Dash thread.
