Wallets that mine, hmm that sounds interesting TanteStefana2. Maybe there could be an option to turn on mining inside the wallet. An On/Off button. The algorithm uses your computer's power to mine.
This would mean that everyone that downloads the "wallet" could be a miner, which would lead to more decentralization. Maybe you could even select a mining pool inside the wallet or a random pool.
Maybe you could even limit the size of the pool. It would be cool if there were "DASH POOLS". They have a limit in the number of participants. Each Dash pool get's rewarded a certain number of Dash. The more people in the pool the less Dash you earn, so it incentizes you to start a new pool or to join pools with a low number of Dash wallet miners.
problem with this idea is that CPU is not enough powerful to balance GPU miners... I think you can mine from a wallet already. Just put setgenerate=1 or something like that in your config file. The problem is you make about 0.1 Dash/month and spend about $3/month on electricity.

Bitcoin XT fork is finally moving forward and Bitcoin is forking. I think having both Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin XT at the same time will open people eyes to the idea that using other alternatives to Bitcoin Core is possible. It will be really interesting to see what happens. https://medium.com/@octskyward/why-is-bitcoin-forking-d647312d22c1

Since the developers are a little modest, I will add some of the cool features they forgot to show off in the release notes. - Masternode inputs are locked automatically.
- GUI Wallet repair tools.
- Specific Spork, Masternode, etc update bars to ensure instanTX and darksend capability.
- Selectable interface themes and customizable wallet title.
- Masternode.conf is created automatically (if existing, the donation columns are ignored).
thanks for this, I was wondering. what the update consisted of.

You just need linux, preferably with a good GPU. On my ubuntu VMware under mac it takes around 22 days to generate, but with a good GPU a few hours will get you there. https://github.com/propulsions/DarkVanityGenhttps://dashtalk.org/threads/vanity-darkcoin-addresses.389/

Hello Dash community, I have begun to research the first year history of Dash. It has taken me about 4-5 hours to extract the important historical events in the first 150 pages of this thread. A preliminary front cover has already been designed: Books on Peercoin and Reddcoin are already available on Amazon. If anyone would like to donate towards this project, please do: XdoMpS6wX63TVBma9EG53PG2VJnMnSPJ3d I noticed stuff was deleted all the way through to the beginning. I went all the way from page 0 to page 43, I think, and couldn't find where we decided to keep going after realizing the number of coins that were "spilled" out at the very beginning, but I clearly remember it, even having looked it up only a few months ago. It was not a formal vote to continue on, but rather everyone chirping in that they didn't want to lose over a week of mining. I don't know why the moderators saw fit to remove that one?

Secretly everbody is just waiting for his "Go" for XT. Such insecurity. To me the conclusion is clear, there is simply more than one valid way to run, scale and manage a crypto-currency. That is the reality, both sides have valid approaches but Bitcoin must pick only one way forward. I am super bullish on Dash's future right now, we will be a solid network with its own unique approach and that is perfectly fine. There wont be just a single solution to everything. In my opinion the ecosystem e.g. service providers, exchanges, processors needs to evolve from being the bitcoin ecosystem into being the crypto ecosystem supporting a few different networks with unique approaches. Lets see what happens.

Well if it is him, it sounds like he approves of what Evan has accomplished.

yeah, but until he actually sign the messages, it's as good as nothing Very true, but since we're speculating... Even if it is not him, the person that wrote the email agrees with Dash's vision which is encouraging. The email was confirmed to belong to Satoshi, so it is either him or it was hacked.
