DASH will go to zero and you will still be cheerleading for DASH Really ? This is nearly a 2-year old project now. Check back this thread over a couple of years. You'll find clones of yourself littering it all the way back to January 2014. Find a more-modern-mantra-to-mumble Yes. We're supposed to all pack up and go home simply because one low-post forum buffoon comes on and blurts out some stupidity. This project's been progressing very well for a long time now. Just because we're currently subject to a price drop because of the BTC rally means nothing long-term. Give us a break DrkLvr_ and go find something more useful to apply yourself to. Darkcoin was the best, but now I understand your fraud

It also doesn't show south America, South Africa, and S/E Asia and Austrailia. we have a few there too Thank you TanteStefana. I was feeling quite left out with my entire country (Australia) completely unrepresented on this map (along with all the others you've noted). It wouldn't be the first time we've been forgotten about (and it won't be the last). We're only a little over 1% of the world's GDP but we're still a $1.5 trillion economy, so bigger than many other countries will much larger populations. It's because the map doesn't fit on the screen in it's entirety, LOL. It's there Just not in the screen shot.

Maybe it's time to admit Darkcoin screwed the pooch with the insta-rebrand to DASH? For 7 months, it's been trading below pre-rebrand levels. That's the market talking, not "one low-post forum buffoon." The price has done nothing but drop like a stone since DASH's 100% centralized decision-making body ambushed Darkcoin with the ninja-launched rebrand (and caused vertoe to say "fuck this").

Speaking of moving users from BTC to DASH. I was thinking we could address the bitcoin lack of nodes with an advertising campaign. Would it be possible to run bitcoin nodes, but instead of just letting standard transactions go through it adds a transaction with a note? Something like this. DASH has Instantx - dashpay.ioLink for how to do it. Maybe this isn't something a node can do without actually initiating a transaction. http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/31972/how-to-add-additional-information-to-transactionOr maybe add a banner to the bitcoin block explorers. So those that keep checking if their transaction is confirmed will see DASH as the faster alternative. Why wait 10 minutes for a block confirmation? DASH has InstantX.I'm not sure demonizing doe-eyed Chinese Bitcoin investors' shiny new assets is the best way to attract them. You don't want to scare them all the way back to fiat. Rather, the strategic thing to do right now would be to get them keen on diversifying their crypto portfolios without implying bitcoin is a risky investment compared to alts. They already like bitcoin, but it is a safe, one-trick pony. When they get bored they'll be on the hunt for something "different" (not less risky) than bitcoin which offers more features and better short-term growth potential. Lulls in bitcoin growth might be better times to promote Dash's long-term prospects by highlighting bitcoin's drawbacks, as this is most likely when investors start reevaluating their long-term positions. Its lack of full-node incentives, transaction speed limits, fungibility problems and impotent governance means bitcoin's long term future as a singularly powerful end-user world currency is uncertain. When investors are thorougly convinced that bitcoin really works now, but question its future adequacy as an ideal money for everybody--that's the time when Dash's superior monetary properties and killer features will become very attractive to them. Anyway, I think bitcoin is still the gateway into alts I would not want to make new investors feel that bitcoin is unsafe. Dash still needs to ride its coattails for a while. In the meantime, we should be promoting dash's features in the light of "if you think Bitcoin is great, you'll LOVE Dash," and be careful not to stray too far to an image that says "bitcoin will collapse, you should sell it all and buy Dash." I wasn't trying to say Bitcoin was unsafe....just slow...then showing a faster option when the BTC user is feeling the pain while waiting for a block confirmation. We definitely don't want to indicate Bitcoin or crypto is unsafe, then we go backwards. Soon enough the central banks will screw up one last time and the real jump to crypto will happen. Pssst. Ignore the trolls please, even the new one. Ah, okay. Well I certainly agree with promoting Dash's many advantages over bitcoin without directly bashing it. As for the trolls, I've selfishly been enjoying their flightless wing-flapping for the last week or two, as it has promted some of the most incredibly logical and insightful posts I've read in a long time. Dash Rebrand was first annonced March 12 and produced that rally you like to show the top of. It opened a lot of opportunity for the project. The whole altcoin market is unstable but Dash is still up in USD value from earlier this month.

This is a complete fabrication. The announcement of the rebrand came after the huge run-up in price. You are an outright liar

Because of this I no longer feel the name Darkcoin reflects the true essence of the project and have decided to rebrand our product.

This was not the official announcement. Currently we’re investigating the name “Dash” The official announcement only came after the run-up in price. With DASH its always only lies, half-truths, misinformation, deception and more lies.

That’s all in the past now and after careful consideration, reading all the posts from everyone for the last few days and weighing every argument, I believe it is best if we make it official that we’re going with DASH. https://dashtalk.org/threads/official-statement-on-rebranding-to-dash.4297/

I wondered what it must have been like to watch Bitcoin explode in price so fast back in November/December 2013, as I came here just after, and within weeks, was stuck on Dash (as it just started)
Now I'm really finding this explosion, which may or may not be bigger, very exciting! I don't want to go to bed, LOL. Too bad I don't have any bitcoin, but it doesn't matter, I guess. I just hope Bitcoin lands and stays nice and strong from this point on. Somewhere well above 700, I hope.
Gosh, we haven't heard from Otoh since October 20th, I hope everything is OK with him?

Actually, Confidential Transactions doesn't do a thing for bitcoin privacy except for those few which are left to 'cook' for a couple of days in order to gain enough 'security' to recast themselves as a new currency and totally blow the coin supply's fungibility to kingdom come in the process. Of course if you need them quickly you can always do a 'swap' with someone who's already 'morphed' theirs, but don't expect any freebies - everything's at a premium. (Wait a minute - scratches head - we now have a distinct currency, with a distinct trading price but with no independent liquidity so it transmits its volatility all over the market including into bitcoin itself ? It's bitcoin's siamese twin ! If bitcoin had been born with such a defect, devs would be falling over themselves working out how to separate them ).
Tok, You do understand that DASH also has 2 currencies on the network? The mixed coins and the unmixed coins. It's pretty obvious that DASH has fungibility issues. You need default mixing to solve this.

if btc goes up so does DASH. so unless you are planning on cashing out to fiat (USD etc) you should just hold, unless you think DASH is going to go down.

Wrong, the DASH funds from mixed and unmixed look the same. They are interchangeable and completely fungible.
