I am a regular reader of your main thread and the "speculation" one (this is really funny) and never heard any single word against Icetroller et al. On the contrary, he is a well respected member of your community.

They're not 90% people from XMR. Don't blame a coin you dislike for a few people who are part of its community and also happen to spit venom on other coins. It's just that they're the most noticeable.

The door goes both ways though, as if the thread was moderated there would likely be a ton of posts screaming about censorship instead. Although I do find the idea interesting, it would be possible to keep a saner atmosphere in the discussion.
In the meantime, the ignore-button is doing wonders

after the vote i would allow them to complain about censorship once or twice but not everyday all day. they could start another thread to complain all day everyday about censorship.

the masternodes should vote on thread moderation and also who the mods could be. trolls will still bump the thread to the top but then they will be deleted unless they have legitimate questions. repeated instamine quotes is not a legitimate question.

I think our thread is fine, there will be trolling in any popular project, I would be worried if there was not.  I don't think our official announcement thread should ever be moderated as we have nothing to hide. People that make it all the way into a crypto currency forum are smart people they should be able to judge the work we are doing and decide if they want to support the project or not.

i think the best thing to do is put it to a vote.

I don't mind leaving them on and not ignoring them.  It doesn't bother me and I like informing new people who the trolls are.  Funny... Just listening to a pod cast from BBC about Internet trolls... The general public is becoming far more aware as to who and what trolls are and are becoming very fed up with the whole culture of trolls if you could call it that.  People want to naturally  hate and loath them.... They are a common foe,  a cancer in modern society... And are willing to tune these trolls once identify.

if they become a problem then yes but i rarely see many of those theses days.
back in the day there were a lot of those along with all the memes but they did not bother me personally.

I don't think it can be changed at this stage, iirc self moderation was added to the wall observer thread but it was a special case, needed it too as the trolling got even worse than here at one stage, hard to even catch the legit posts they where going by that fast.

Looks good, a few thousand coins have been added to the depth on stamp but they don't seem to be pushing it down much, think it'll last? Imo it'll get a bit over 300 and take a dive after the auction, I don't think the BTC market has had a will fora long time now.

People tend to forget the pervasive issues that still exist during this uptrend. I am not getting excited, unless we break through that double top (~315-320) on volume. Also, looking at orderbooks could be quite deceiving, since people use it to influence other's (trading) decisions. Not sure if the auction will have any influence, it's difficult to tell.
