Who's running r/DRKCoin? I'm a fan of the header but it would be nice if the main page was the normal reddit format for readability.

Also, seems like there are two subs (the one above and r/DarkCoinCrypto) we should consolidate these as it's confusing to have two of them and it would be good to have more of a presence there. Looks like the coin creator is the moderator of r/DarkCoinCrypto and it's in the first post here so that would be my preference.

Not sure why people are posting in r/drkcoin . Official is the same name as the twitter account r/DarkCoinCrypto

I created it. Didn't realise one already existed, I did search but DarkCoin hasn't had much of a social media presence until now. I never heard anything from the devs whenever I mentioned it so I assumed they knew about it and were just busy.

I'm happy to consolidate subreddits with the official one. I did all the css theming yesterday, it still needs a bit of work. Would be good if that could be transferred over to the official one too. Eduffield?

Oh, lets use yours. That's perfect

eduffield, please take a look at this post.  It's got a great graph that explains what happens when the difficulty rises, and I think it's really useful for people to understand what is happening when mining.

I really like Poloniex.  There customer support is quick and very friendly.

Last 24 hours 14,593 issued vs first day 1,834,654 (over half of all coins currently issued)... kind of makes the  reward halving after 1 year statement irrelevant since it halved the first day.  I guess that's the reason for the ridiculous moore's law equation.. A new gimmick. Playing these kind of games is like a prereq for launching a coin.

It says on the official DRK mining pool "4. Create a XCoin address to recieve payments. ". I've successfully setup a miner, and it's mining right now. No idea how to receive payments though, or what an XCoin address is.

Also just another noob question while I'm at it, is the hash rate you mine at based on my hardware+config? So if I go and mine a different altcoin with the same hardware+config, will I always have the same hash rate or will it change based on the difficulty of whatever I'm mining?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Nevermind, figured out where to enter payout address.
The question about hash rate still remains.

Also I've been mining with cudaminer on the official pool for probably ~30m now, definitely connected to the right worker. The site still thinks I'm not mining, should it be taking this long to realize I'm mining or is something wrong?

Another thing, cudominer says "(booooo)" at the end of a lot of the outputs, it goes for a good few minutes only giving me a long line of "Booooo" before it goes through non-booooo's and my GPU works a lot slower when they're all "booooo's". Normal?

Any posts from me that were posted in Russian were NOT from me. A cykablyat obtained my forum login details when they were leaked, I was inactive from the forum at that time.

This is not your standard scrypt coin... meaning that you cannot use cudaminer.  See the first post for the only working GPU client.

Im totally failing at GPU mining. Can someone help me out/toss me a bone?

I'm using SGMiner and I'm not registering hash at any of the darkcoin pools I've tried.

I downgraded my catalyst drivers as mentioned in one of the earlier sections. That significantly grounded my hash rates, which made me think it worked, but I'm not registering anything with the pools..

Am I still doing something wrong here?

Do you see a lot of HW errors? in the sgminer wndow you will see  HW with numbers climbing next to it..

Thats what Im getting... and I have tried every possible combination of intensity and TC I can think of...

Thanks so much for telling me this, been tinkering here for hours Tongue.

I'll carry on tomorrow with sgminer, need a nap now.

Still no help about HW errors Huh I even tried the latest driver versions.. but that caused two of my 6 cards to not work, and sgminer wouldn't start.. rolling back to my previous driver that allowed all 6 gpus to work..

Why don't you simply sell your Doge at the best exchange,
grab the BTC, send it to Poloniex/C-Cex and then start buying?

I can't imagine anyone giving you a good deal by swapping out for Doge.

That sounds risky, and I suppose you want a great rate as well?

Better off playing the exchange game, and finding some clown
who wants to panic sell, because he didn't triple his money in
five hours. The longer you wait, the more you will pay ...

Anyone mining with a R9 270 or R9 270X? What are your configs and MH/s?

"auto-fan" : true,
"auto-gpu" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"gpu-engine" : "1050",
"gpu-fan" : "40-100",
"gpu-memclock" : "1450",
"gpu-powertune" : "50",
"intensity" : "22",
"temp-target" : "90",
"temp-overheat" : "93",
"temp-cutoff" : "97",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "32768"

+88mV

I'm using this config for both R9 290 and R9 270, 2.2-2.4Mh/s on 290 and 1.1-1.2 on 270.

Hello !
Can you actually mine for Darkcoin ?
I get only errors.. WU 0, lots of NULL, can use even my credentials to join to the pool etc.
