The thing is that only 17% is ALOT. For perspective, 17% of bitcoin is well over one billion dollars at the current price. In other words, my concern is more whether the total cap really 10.5M instead of the 84M advertised? If its 84M, then those coins mined in the first 24 hours are much less significant. Fair distribution is important to the success of a coin, or else Drk will just be replaced by the next coin that is able to copy its features.
Yes, and the next coin will be replaced by the next one until everyone and their uncles have managed to instamine the launch. Only then everyone can be happy.

Is there a way to see the largest transactions on the Dark explorer like with Bitcoin ( https://blockchain.info/largest-recent-transactions)?

Hey Eduffield, how is the new website coming along? (also you guys should update the exchange list on darkcoin.io, we still only have 3!)
Here's the work in progress, any ideas would be greatly appreciated: http://darkcoin.us/io/What should be on the homepage? We have 5 slots to fill. Anyone have good ideas for stock photos for the various pages? Starting to look good. If you're going with the gray overall theme, I'd suggest reconsidering this coin sigi made Looks really good and is better suited to be an icon at small sizes as well. edit: I'd also pay a bit to have the website made I imagine you've hired someone? This is my favorite so far. This is the most refined, professional look yet. Contrary to what someone else was saying above, I think we need to keep trying to make the design better and better. The one used looks good right now, but it's still a little amateur hour imo.

Hello I am developing a site that takes darksend payments through API. I was wondering how this process would be different then taking payments the same way with btc? Would it be different to accept DRK through darksend as far as API goes?

LISTEN UPThe coinmine pool at https://www2.coinmine.pl/drk/index.php has 80% of the total hashrate80% of total hashrate! We absolutely need to spread out the power to other pools, look at the list on www.darkcoin.io or all the new pools people are posting and change your miners. To the official pool at least which the devs control.I don't want to spread FUD and accusations but there has been a lot of weird stuff happening these days. Part of it can be explained by the C-CEX.com hacks which put a ton of DRK on the market to be dumped on poloniex. But maybe, just maybe, the biggest pool is authoring double spends and sending fake DRK to be dumped. I'm very sorry to even bring this up if it's false and I mean no offense but it's something to consider. Someone may be draining DRK for all it's worth. Or someone (competitor?) may be intentionally investing in bringing down DRK as well but at least we can power through that.If the coinmine pool owner reads this, please respond in any way possible, no offense was meant. One thing is for sure, DRK is under attack by someone who wants to A) Destroy it and bring the price down while they bring out their competitor B) Lower the price insanely and then buy it all up, which makes no sense since they already have tons of coins. Yeah, I'm not pointing fingers either, but someone is seriously manipulating this coin, and its getting real old real fast. I don't know how to get to the bottom of this, but it looks really bad when the price is all over the place like it has been. Having 80% of the hashrate in one pool is awful damn suspicious. I'll just leave it at that. as I have been pointing before, someone is having a fresh daily source of almost free coins, I think is someone manipulating the mining network, thats why a lot of people are having orphan blocks and yeah a pool controlling 80% of hashrate can do this with other separate entities so is not that obvious. I think what happened on C-Cex is only correlated for the massive pump and 1 dump on poloniex but I have witnessed and participating in the buying of 14 more dumps in the .0010, .0009 and now .0005. The number the dumper chooses is correlated with the btc bounty, if someone putts an ammount above 20 btc in .0005(buy order) the guy will sell at that price. The first dump is as old as when you guys reached the .0024 level for the first time, we just didn't notice them bc the market recuperates really fast(les than 3 mins) at those crazy prices. if I had to guess, what hapened on c-cex had something to do with XCP hacker or the poloniex owner destroying competition bc he was attacked before with this bug and therefore familiar with it, steal from competition and launder your money in your exchange. 2. what is happening now with pools will have to do with the dev or someone in his team or someone found a way to use litecoin asics on dark and is exploting this ussing different users and solo mining to hide this. basically the dumper can withdraw easily BTC from poloniex but not crypsy or C-cex, so the guys that buy at those cheap levels are laundering his btc by selling them on crypsy and rebuying on polo. all theory......

You would use darksend addr amount, then there will be another command to get the last darksend txid

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

I think I'm going to sit on the sidelines for a bit until the mining situation gets better. Too much weird stuff going on with these markets which makes me nervous.

I don't understand why someone, even someone who stole a bunch of coins, would dump in a way that tanks the price. If he stole 100k DRK, why wouldn't he dump say 5k per day, rather than 40k? He'd get 2x + as much Bitcoin and it would just take 20 days instead of 3. I've never seen this kind of behavior with any other altcoin. Makes me think someone is just intentionally tanking the price, but to what end? If the DarkSend implementation goes smoothly, the price will recover despite what any dumper does. I can't think of any possible way for the dumper to profit by doing this.

That's just it, it doesn't make sense. I bailed yesterday when c-cex and poloniex action wasn't making sense and that saved me a lot of heartache and maybe money. And I've bailed now. It's just not worth the risk. I'd rather buy back a little higher and sleep well.
