Price seems to be very stable. Really hope that the dumper is done.
Yup, looks like things have stabilized and the thread has turned around as well. I imagine it'll take another couple days but we're back on our way. Can't wait until the next DarkSend test.

Yeah we bottomed out last night I reckon. There is still some idiot on polo trying to dump but he'll lose in the end. We've got darksend testing tomorrow so things are looking up. Now if only there was a show I could watch to fast forward tomorrow to now.

Someone needs to make a Darkroad. That would generate so much publicity.
Definitely would be very cool , they can use the image I posted earlier! All TOR hackers welcome. (with approval by SIGI of course)

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

Well remember what happened to silk road owner? Must admit the trend of bitcoin cost has been down after his arrest.
Remember that the World Bank/CFR/Visa/Feds are part of an international end-to-end corporate network which has historically involved drug-running. This network spawned the likes of Wikipedia (if you control people's perception of the past and current affairs, you can control their behaviour in the present). They own the police in all Western countries and many of the developing countries. We don't even know for a fact that Ulbricht was/is a real person, or some sort of propaganda character invented as part of the manipulation around BTC.
Nobody will go after DRK's developer. These people can only control mass media narratives to influence how sheeple or day traders behave. But because the DRK are not sheeple, we're not affected in the same way. Instead, we should just concentrate on what we're doing, and developing our own strategies.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/2102580/lawmaker-seeks-us-ban-on-bitcoin.htmlMore talk about banning or limiting Bitcoin use. As if the US dollar or any other fiat are safer. They are subject to blatant macroeconomic manipulation. Nothing will save the US dollar (and the rest of the world) until the US government cuts spending and borrowing. They will have to eventually. The current money printing will lead to massive inflation in the not too distant future. The US gov will have to default on the debt and let inflation wipe it out. There is no way they can pay it back. It's going to result in major turmoil for most asset classes - stocks, bonds, real estate - and people will look to gold and the most successful cryptos for storing wealth. Can only mean more reason to support DarkCoin and increased privacy for users. Crypto currency should be left alone by all governments, they shouldn't feel obligated to protect investors, or anything. I have no problem paying income tax when I sell off for fiat, that's my obligation, but buying with my earned and post tax dollars, once in the crypto system, it should be out of the government's hands. They have no right to stick their noses in this. We in the crypto community must regulate (or in other words, ensure or take the chances of whom we deal with). The government's primary obligation is to provide for military defense of the nation! With all the tax dollars we give them, they can't even do that!

I sincerely hope that those who must protect us from crime will find a way to track illegal activities even if those doing illegal things are using darkcoin, as long as it's not invading the public privacy. I just don't want the public to know what I'm doing with my own money/coins. That's a private matter! Who needs to know I spent $1000 at Disneyland buying hats? If silly hats were my thing, nobody needs to know! It's my business, and I'm sure I wouldn't want anyone to know that I spent so much at a place even so it wouldn't tell anyone what exactly I bought. It just doesn't need to be in the public ledger!

And pooty kaka! I got windows update last night which reboot my system, turning off my little miner, and just realized I forgot to turn it back on ! Hey people, this is a special coin, with a great development team. If you bought them to make a quick buck, I'm sorry, it wasn't designed that way. If you can hold on to them, I'd do so until they're at least worth 10 times more than you bought them for. Otherwise, there are new coins every day that you might squeeze profit out of before it crashes. Unless our development team abandons us, I think this coin is here to stay. It wasn't designed to be a pump and dump. If you look back in the thread, you'd find several points where our developer was buying up the coin 20,000 at a time to fuel his promotions, etc... A developer buying his own coin? Yes! Now everything else is the market going haywire. People buy and sell not having any conception of what they're dealing with. Bitcoin is a mess (but still frankly healthy at over 500 dollars per bit) and crypto is still barely entering the public conscious, where people loose faith quickly, and dump at the first troll they read. Why am I writing? LOL I guess I'm just trying to help those who are green to economics and need a little perspective, I'll shut up now ;P BTW, talking about fiat currency, my grandmother in Germany told me of how the government couldn't print money fast enough to keep up with inflation. They went from work, collected daily pay, ran to the stores to buy food before it cost too much again to buy. It was crazy. You think government backed currency is safer? LOL, Ok then! History has a tendency to repeat itself. I wouldn't put all my eggs into one basket, though. I must say it's nice to have discovered this new type of basket to keep around I totally agree, well said ! The entire Cryptocurrency market is a mess in the moment, Mt Gox and all the others (hacks and scams and whatnot) …. so give it a bit of time to ease the waves and it will all come back ! This is not a game to make a buck in a week or two … longterm investment is the key !!! Can you imagine darksend being up and running in 2015 ! (While BTC is mainstream/ hopefully by then) … and boom DRK will rule that market ….. hold on to your panties and give it some time ….>

Have you guys read this article? http://cryptolife.net/breakdown-anonymizing-cryptocurrencies/EDIT: OOPS! FIXED , WRONG LINK Darkcoin
Darkcoin has a feature called “darksend” which is really just a cutesy name for it’s implementation of gmaxwell’s coinjoin specification. Essentially, inputs from multiple entities are grouped together and treated as one transaction. To an outside observer, this makes it much more difficult to tell exactly what addresses belong to who.
The nice thing about this implementation is that it doesn’t require much additional overhead, and doesn’t require trusting third parties, meaning it could reasonably be implemented into bitcoin. At the same time, the level of anonymity it affords is moderate at best. It is best used in conjunction with other methods of anonymity. On it’s own, it likely isn’t enough. AFAIK, darksend isn’t publicly released yet either.

Other than that, I'm pretty square, but libertarian. Government needs to be downsized IMO. As far as drugs go, I think it's the regulation that causes ALL the trouble. Tax the stuff, use the tax money to educate... how many people smoke now? Are people killing each other over alcohol now? People need to be responsible for their choices (not to say we as a community wouldn't help those in trouble, we would, because we're mostly all human) But yah, I hope they keep their paws off crypto as well as everything else in our lives! the more they try to rule us, the more of a mess they make!

Yes, all true, but we're not getting a simple implementation of conjoin either. It's pretty well thought out. It won't be that easy to crack, though not impossible, I'd venture. Still, it would take effort to look into my wallet, and I like that

I was trying to say a similar thing without sounding too anti police. Certainly, the police, government, etc... MUST be kept under the people's thumb. We are the employers, and we employ them for good reason. They can make our lives more orderly, keeping psychopaths, of which there are many around all of us, from ruining our lives. Again, no black and white. But being where my family came from, I really do understand how bad it can get! And I agree with you. Always keep your guard up against those whom we gave power.

How did this coin just devalue? Not sure if srs.
Yes its going downhill a bit but patience is virtue
Instead of them being rare at ~10 million coins, now we are going towards the full ~80 million, an 8 fold increase. This fucking sucks for people like me who bought in the past week, thinking the coin was rarer than it is now. I don't plan on selling, it just sucks knowing I could have gotten more. I can see why you might be upset, but this wouldn't change coin rarity until the end of the first year - and if you are planning on holding it for that long, I have the feeling you will be in good shape in any case.

Been 3 days now and I've still yet to receive an e-mail with my pin from darkcoin.io, what gives? I've put in numerous tickets explaining my issue, and my account is locked with 50+ DRK in it. Any help would be appreciated, I need to access these urgently.
