While we understand Darkcoin can be used for things that are illegal/unlawful purposes, we (the Darkcoin Devs) would prefer not to be associated with that in any way. What DarkSend offers is just a more private blockchain, which is useful for all legitimate business also. However, we can't really control what is done with the technology or how it is used.

Fully understandable, but a wallett issue (integrating wallet payment within a website) is a general issue, and if they achieve success with it, they can help others who will have less issues after them. (legit businesses) Doubt they would deny help.

My feeling is that it's a ways from a big price jump, if that ever materializes. At least until it's out of beta and perhaps not until it's open sourced and 3rd parties can verify that it is all that it claims to be. What's encouraging to me is that it's not dropping like a stone after a huge pump, which seems to be the pattern with 95% of alt coins. It's holding fairly steady, even through some real challenges (c-cex/poloniex hacks/thefts & dumps, KGW exploit the last few days, etc.). Patience.

a lot of promising coins seem to fall down at the moment. Especially Vertcoin The price is being manipulated by bots and people are falling for it. If you want to sell some dark, that's okay, but buy like 0.01 BTC or something and clear all the dust sells made by bots so you can sell higher. These are being added slowly and steadily everyday for a few days now. Yesterday I bought up some dark (after crashing the EXE market for a big profit ) and saw the blatant manipulation.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

anybody from DARK side wants to join light side of SUN? many usrs of us mine both DRK and SUN - as its different algos.
Oh, you think dark(ness) is your ally. But you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING! LOL, we're getting poetic here! From batman. I remember it. Lmao my thoughts exactly ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehTwOVKd4m4

I think the dark dev support should be neutral and provide technical support to anyone who needs it. Whatever site each person develops is their own responsibility but tech support should be universal. Just like btc is used for many different applications DRK should to. Just my two cents.

If/when Darkcoin picks up, various law enforcement/watchdogs will not hesitate to party on this...

Hi users,
Here is an update on the stratum situation for Dark.SuchPool.pw.
Earlier yesterday, we have been advised that the xcoin-stratum (dark) had an exploitable vulnerability. That vulnerability allowed users to mine at a lower difficulty than stratum would normally allow (only if manual difficulty was set in their sgminer software). Some hashes that should have been refused got accepted aswell, increasing the overall hashpower of the user and the pool.
You can come back mining with us as the issues are resolved and all our stratum servers are fully operational.
We also identified some users taking advantage of this and will advise them.

Why should there exist such a manipulation @ anonymousxx
There can be various reasons. The first assumption would be that someone wants to buy it very low and then manipulate or let it grow naturally upwards and make a lot of money. It's most likely as simple as that. Other than that you can have competitors drive down your price pretty effectively. But there is clearly manipulation as you can see in my gif.

Careful with this. I wouldn't download if I were any one of you. OP is brand new account and this is his only post. Most likely trojan/virus/backdoor.
It sounds like it's advertising itself as malware. It runs the miner in hidden mode and masks the process as svchost.exe. This is bad for everyone, and will make antivirus scanners more likely to flag legit mining software.
