How much DRK to run a masternode? 1000?
yes, 20%  of block

Do I need 1k by a certain date?

No, however long it takes to accumulate 1k DRK. After that, you can run a MN.

One of the world's largest online travel agencies, Expedia, has become the latest company to accept Bitcoin transactions as a form of payment.

Nice, BUT, every 24h they will sell the bitcoins for USD, not hold.
I'm sure if Expedia understands that the price of BTC rises slowly, even they will hold their BTC.

That doesn't even matter!  The point is that another BIG company is accepting cryptocurrency!   It's spreading and becoming more and more useful!  Thanks for posting the great news!

You can run one today if you feel like it too. This is only the "payments" going into effect. Masternodes have been humming along all this time.

Has evan ever stated if the 1000drk req to run a node will stay the same? I mean, if the price skyrockets, then the amount of nodes will rise reaaaally slow witch is good ofcourse for the early adaptors, bad for future investors.

The point being it's super expensive to run one and thus not feasible to compromise the network due to the expense. The future investors will get the same ROI though since it's paid in DRK - startup cost will be more - profits will be more.

I propose a global meet-up of DRK on the 20th of June 2015.

I'll be taking this, except with the DRK logo slapped on it.

The moon got boring. Plus there's no oxygen, too much of a hassle to drink beer, as I tend to pee a lot... Pretty damn challenging with zero gravity!!

I love good 'ol planet earth.

i think that a website must be setup, something like betarigs, where you can rent/lease a masternode at a certain price or %.

it could help a lot if this is an official site from the dev team and not someone that can run away with 10-15-20-30 nodes (no offense to DyslecticZombei, i m just saying)
