Is everything in order?

Balance 1000.001 ?? LOL
Check your IP at http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html. If it shows active, then it should be fine, dude Wink

Sometimes the wallets charge .001drk when sending. I done the same and sent 1000.001drk to my MN wallet and the fee was taken and 1000drk arrived.

Whats the advantage of having more in each node?

type ./darkcoind masternode list | grep YOURIP
if it shows YOURIP:9999, 1 then it should be fine.

I don't know Evan has already implemented the multi ticket for masternodes, otherwise it doesnt have any effect.

At the time of building the MN there was a trick to building the wallet.  Send in .001 then 1000 exactly then backup wallet, drop it on your node and it started up...

If I did anything else it wouldn't work.

Should I chuck a bit more in?

Did you check the message of Masternode in debug.log ?
If it works you could turn off the cold wallet which contains your fund. Disconnect this with internet and you should be fine.

Oh ok, I thought maybe you sent the extra .001 like me to pay for the fee but never got charged.
As for adding more I have no idea if it would benefit or not.

THIS FORK WILL GO SMOOTHLY SO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE'S SCEPTICISM AND BUY NOW!

This fork will go smoothly all the signs are there, I can tell you that last time setting up masternodes was a frustrating experience the ghost masternodes problem wouldn’t let you be sure if your node was up and running the masternode count didn’t make sense and there were a lot of updates and new versions in a very short period of time before the fork.

This time around things are working great you see your node come online right away, we actually have cold wallet masternodes now, with 0 risk of loosing coins, that is huge as people will be willing to use a larger percentage of theirs stake to set nodes. P2POOL can now be updated since before the fork last time P2POOL was only designed to be updated after the fork introducing a new unknown variable that was not part of the testing environment. This time the network will reject old versions so people that inadvertently or intentionally leave clients running with older versions wont affect the system.  If you are planning to buy coins after the fork you will probably have to outbid everyone else doing the same, it would be way smarter to buy now and take a very controlled risk.

I just found this review, and apparently it is now possible to get paid in Darkcoin at a cloud mining service.
http://cryptomining-blog.com/2706-trying-out-the-genesis-mining-scrypt-cloud-mining-service/

What implications does this have on Darkcoin? Is it a good thing?

Well it's scrypt mining so they'll have to buy the dark coins to pay people with the scrypt profits. Effectively a multi pool working FOR dark as opposed to selling dark for btc. Creates buy pressure = good.

YES!! You can use ASIC to rape LTC, auto-selling into DRK, drive the price of LTC down and DRK up.

+1

Just as a refresh, in testnet we even tried hacked versions of the daemon solo-mining, crooked p2pool implementation, NOMP with wrong paramenters, dozens of old clients - doing our best to fork or break the network.

Smooth as silk, like a fine tuned and oiled-up super duper moon rocket should be. Fast and efficient!

Inching closer to MR. 3188 DRK at 0.018.  Would love to see the look on his face when he comes back to find his DRK are sold and he has to buy in much higher.

Could be more than just 1 person. It was just over 1k this morning. Could be an honest, yet desperate attempt, to hold down the price while more funds clear.

OMG... did I just say "legitimate investor" instead of "whale" ??

Uh, the tiny amount sent first was just to make sure you were sending to the correct address... I do this before I send large amounts anywhere, being both paranoid and senile, I don't even trust myself... Wink

You can avoid fees usually by sending yourself the amount within your own wallet, this consolidates the tx (makes it smaller) so your single large amount is sent in one chunk as it were, not made up of hundreds of smaller amounts, the sending of which which incurs fees.

I do this anyway now and again to hoover up all the change amounts into one address, for example before backing up to paper.
